Yeah, so that proves not all PH sprites are 100% accurate.
Hoping the sprite update comes out soon

Well, remember the old Shiny Mega Gyarados sprite?
I mean that was proof enough right there that they aren't perfect. :'>
Most of the problems I have seen are minor ones > e.g.
The leg spikes on this sprite are still gray - but they should be red like the rest of the tail/other red parts
The biggest boo-boos I've seen are probably the tail on SM Sceptile, and Shiny Mega Audino's eyes compared to the eyes of regular Mega Audino are completely different in shape.
Even though there are mistakes, the Mega Sprites on PH are pretty dang good in my opinion.
I wish we knew who created the sprites > because they're non-PH artists from what I recall.
Oh & I almost forgot this one;
The shading on the dress is different in height. The Shiny's dress has more shade.. and there are some mis-colored pixels on the shiny, on the head.

The thing is, I haven't played any of the games that came out for the 3DS so far, so I wasn't really sure about it, which made me believe that the old sprite was the original one until the new one rolled out.
Firstly, That's a bunch of errors. And how are they non PH spriters? Did Riako get them made outside PH?
Secondly, You seem to have a huge eye for small details xP

I think we just used sprites that other people made. Like people on Deviant art or something. I'm sure the sprites were free to use, and/or we got permission to use the sprites - but I'd still kinda like some where where it would give credit to those who have made said sprites.
I just remember the Spring Update.. 2 years ago? Where new sprites came out and everybody found out that the sprites weren't actually made by PH spriters. I do believe some credit was given then - but now that topic is buried and nobody knows/remembers who made them.
And eh, I guess. There's a bunch more minor things I could point out but I'm lazy.
It's kinda easy to notice stuff when you zoom in on them. ;v

And, I am too lazy to even zoom in, so yeah, I consider that a great eye for details.
That aside, wouldn't it go against the copyright or whatever if credit isn't given?

It shouldn't. If it's free to use and/or we have permission then there's virtually no problem other than it being an idea of giving respect / acknowledgement to the original creators of the sprites.
I think the topic is the the spring update post - the one where we got the Berry Garden.
