There is a contest in San Fransisco. This contest is Bots, Battle! Many competitors from all across North America and Europe come to this contest. They all have the same goal: to win the oversized golden wrench, the grand prize. This contest happens every single month.
However, there are only 10 competitors allowed into each contest. This means that there is a qualifying match in order to get into the contest. Will you get into the contest, or have to wait another month?

2. Absolutely NO POKEMON OR GIJINKAS. This is a human RP.
3. You may have as many characters as you can control.
4. I will control the outcome of all matches. Please do not think that you can control every match. This is mainly because I don't want people running around winning every match.
5. Have a robot with some flaws. Not every robot is the same, so please make every one different.
6. Please do not use pictures for the appearance of your character.

Backstory(that involves robot-creating): Cassie began creating and experimenting with robots when she was 14. As she was creating robots, she found out about Bots, Battle! and began to experiment with creating robots for battle. Four years of creating robots later, she stuck with Maple, her battle bot.

Backstory(that involves robot-creating): Nathan grew up as a home schooled boy. His parents taught him everything. His dad created and experimented with robots in the garage. Soon, Nathan began to help his dad with his creations. When Nathan was 15, he began to create and experiment with his own robots. A few years later, he settled on a robot named The Claw.

It has a large claw that is meant to grab bots and pierce them. However, it can also operate like a hammer. It can strike and pierce its opponent with a quick, accurate maneuver.

Backstory(that involves robot-creating): She was born into a family of scientists. It would only make sense for her to make her first little robo-bug at age 10. Since then, she taught herself more things about robots, hoping to be the best.
Robot Name: Ceci (Short for Circulation Emulater Confusing-math-stuff Intelligence)
Robot Description(be as detailed as possible, no pictures): Her robot is in a sphere shape, with spiky legs on the bottom. It is violet, with the legs being glossy black. It has a light on it's front, designed to get so hot it can melt a mountain (if it was big enough) in only a few minutes. The robot is bout three feet tall, and 3 feet wide, and it can contract to roll with the power of a boulder. While using it's light or rolls, it can't see anything, for the light counts as it's eye, and the glass light is covered when rolling.

Appearance: Black hair that is usually into a ponytail with fringes, really dark brown eyes, close enough to black, tanned skin and wears a red hoodie with a white maple leaf on the front and a yellow sun on the back.
Personality: Easily Distracted, Loves talking with anyone, easily manipulated into anything, is kind of competitive.

Backstory(that involves robot-creating): Arti had a brother who showed her one of his robot creations when she was little. She got inspired to try to make her own robots out of cardboard and tissue boxes, but it a big failure. When she was 15, Her brother showed her a flier on about the Bots, Battle! And since he wasn't interested in bots anymore, he didn't want to join, but he saw how Arti was so passionate about bots, he told her how to make battle bots. Since Arti stayed inside everyday, and only going outside to get some fresh air, nobody really saw her for years. Her brother battled her bots and gave some tips on how to improve. Fast forwarding to present day, Her Main bot, Philip was the first bot to defeat her brother.

The robot is built for high defence, and though has trouble chasing after fast bots, it has great attack. It takes quite a bit to do some real damage to it.

Adri is a somewhat tall, average weight 19 year old with long orange-red hair that looks like fire in the sun. It ends with a slight curl, unless she's pulled it back in a ponytail. Her eyes are a strange shade of light brown, sometimes looking like they're flecked with orange.
She always seems to be looking at people with an expression of "I'm-clearly-better-so-who-cares?".
Her face is passive when idle.

Adri is sarcastic, stubborn, and even rude. She's not afraid to hurt someone's feelings if they've hurt her or her friends. The only time you'll see her not glaring at someone (..or thing..) is when she's alone or with her parrot, Jacob.

Appearance: Shoulder-length curly black hair, one green eye and one blue eye. Usually wears a solid colored short-sleeved shirts, jeans, red sneakers, yellow glasses, and a white baseball cap.
Personality: Susan is a fairly nice young woman who enjoys making jokes, especially wordplay jokes. She enjoys reading/watching science fiction

Backstory: Susan had almost always been interested in robots. She first discovered her passion for building robots at 14, and completed her first robot after her 15th birthday. Robot Description: A red dragon, about a foot tall. Equipped with a flamethrower in the mouth and a blade at the end of its tail. Very agile and fast, can fly to about two inches in the air, but is vulnerable while flying.

Appearance: 5'8 175lbs.
Athletic build, dark roots dirty white hair slightly above the shoulders. He has dark brown eyes with the left eye scarred and blind. His knuckles are scarred and fingers bent. T wears 8 inch high boots, he dresses in darker clothing with an over coat which always unbuttoned.
Personality: T is a very silent man, he usually let's facial expressions do the talking. He is a loner and likes to stick to himself. With most of his interactions he is generally always perceived as angry.
Country and state/province/city: T comes from an uncharted territory in Northern America.
Backstory(that involves robot-creating):
As a young kid, T was a competitive boxer. Hardened by his young years of physical labour on the farm, T was aspiring to be professional. After an accidental headbutt in the ring which took the sight of his left eye, and left a noticeable and ugly scar. T started fixing up his father's old collection of fighting bots to keep his career in the ring alive, and keep his legacy continuing. When T had enough of his home town, the way everyone talked about his career and all the whispers over people's coffee cups. T decided to take his newly tweaked and finally tuned Bot to San Francisco where he will finally win his title, and take the Golden Wrench.

Robot Description(be as detailed as possible, no pictures): Sugar is a slender but tall Robot, Blue trunks with a Brown frame, and blue trimmed headpiece the knuckles on Sugar are red and in comparison to the rest of his size, quite large.
Sugar has a very well maintained and upgraded set of shocks and Springs in both his legs and arms, making him very agile and light on his feet.

Appearance:
Draco has long dark grey hair. It is a much darker shade of darker and almost seems to be slightly blue. It is more of a combination of dark blue, black, and grey. His hair reaches to the bottom of his chin and on the back side of his head, his hair reaches from about the top of his neck to the middle of his neck. His hair also tends to block off some of his face, mainly his nose and eyes. He has bright blue eyes that sometimes glare in the sunlight but really stand out from his whole entire appearance in the dark/in the night. Especially when their is little to no light around him. He's skin tone is slightly tanned but is still somewhat pale and not very dark. His general facial expression can sometimes be seen as "intimidating" or "not friendly."

Personality:
Draco is relatively friendly. He isn't afraid to interact with other's or make new friends. However, because of his so called "intimidating" or "not so friendly" facial expression which he generally has, people don't talk to him very much. And because of this, he doesn't really have many friends and the few true friends he has don't talk with him anymore. However, once approached; he can be fun to hang around with and overall nice.

Because Draco didn't have too many friends, he spent a lot of time trying to find new hobbies. He tried different clubs and did different things. For example, he did book club and learned the piano. However, for one reason or another, he left them. But one day, Draco was at a technology convention and one of the main spotlights were robots. Those robots peaked Draco's interest and he started getting into robots. He started reading books about robots, computers, and everything he needed to know about them.
He soon knew enough to build his very own robot. He named his very first robot he built "Proto" off of the word "Prototype" and it was a major success in Draco's opinion. Sooner or later he heard about the contest. He unbuilt Proto and built the best robot he could with all the available resources he owned and could afford. He named the final robot "Nexus," Nexus meaning to link two or more things. And in Draco's mind, this was linking Draco's love for robots, his passion, and his heart and soul, all into this one robot.

Robot Description(be as detailed as possible, no pictures):
Nexus is a humanoid looking robot. Nexus has tall, skinny legs. It's knee joints are guarded by 2 blue pieces. One long piece on the front, and a slightly shorted piece in the back. The bottom of Nexus's feet are red. On his lower torso, he has skirt armor that is protecting the front, back, and both sides. However, it's skirt armor is short to allow more flexibility. Nexus has a slightly broad chest with a green half-sphere on it. It is meant to represent the physical source of the Nexus but it not the actual core of Nexus. It's arms reach down to about halfway down his upper thigh from the tips of his hands. His under-forearms have blue plates attached to them. They are removable and are not very thick. On his shoulder's, he has angle shoulder armor pieces that have another armor piece sticking from the bottom and can be moved. Nexus's head is highly detailed and has bright, green led lights for eyes. However, because of how detail Draco had worked on for Nexus, his features aren't exactly the most complicated. Nexus's movements aren't super advanced and very basic. But it makes up for it with appearance, mobility, and armor pieces.
