Actting instinctively, Maru grabbed Ray by the waist, jumping up to a branch of a tall tree, swinging around Maru used the momentum to boat Ray further up the tree. "Up you go. I'll be right behind you." She said.

Corri looked scared. Shivers ran down her spine. Her small body violently racked with quivers. She was terrified. Her breathing became ragged. Adrin had told her stories, and they flashed across her mind.

Corri tried to stay still to the best of her ability. Though shivering, she made little movement. Tears slipped from her chocolate eyes, wetting her cheeks.

After being hoisted up the tree without warning she heard the screams of the monster no more than a hundred feet away.
Her blood ran cold with fear and she froze in the tree clinging onto with her life she saw the others below. She looked at the sky and based off the stars she realized it had been dark for over 2 hours. There was only 6 more hours till sunlight again.
"Be Careful and hide!" She yelled from above.

Hearing the familiar screeching, she felt her blood run cold, her pulse rushing, her head starting to reel and her heart as beating faster. She was panicking... oh god no, don't have a panic attack now, don't have a panic attack now... murmured quietly to herself, as she took a deep, shaky breath, and averting back to normal breathing, despite it being shaky as all hell.

Covering Rays mouth after she yelled, Maru hugged Ray close to her and pressed her back against the tree trunk. "Shh... I'm here. It's okay. Everyone will be fine." She murmured softly, slowly removing her hand. As embarrassed as she was with this close proximity with her, Maru knew that both of there lives were at stake. But that didn't stop her heart from beating furiously.

Corri buried her face in the conjunction on her collarbone and neck, tears wetting the skin. "I'm so-so-sorry..." She whispered, stammering. Tori heard the screeching and looked at Arius, freezing with fear.

She adjusted her grip on Corri, to where she was only holding her shirt, and tightly gripped that, as well as a small bar that held up something in the area she was hiding behind. She still tried to stay still and silent, only murmuring the words "stay still and stay silent" to corri

Rayne looked into Marus' eyes admiring their beauty as she silenced me. Listening deeply to the wimpers from below and the thundering of her heart in her ears. She layed her head against Maru feeling her heart also.
She heard the screech again but closer no more than 20 feet away. Then all went silent.

Looking around the trunk, Maru froze, before closing her eyes, before opening them up again and looking at Rayne, and murmuring conferring words, to calm both Rayne's and her nerves.

Tori grasped Arius and dove into a brush, Arius on top of her as she skidded across the rocky ground. Her back was cut, but she only winced. Corri shivered, nodding as she blushed. She really was terrified of death. It was going to kill her. She would die. The though went through her head, making her let out a dry, quiet sob.

Relaxing as Ray lay in Marus arms she hear rustling below and stopped breathing as a creature sped past them, stopped, sniffed the air and then went towards the group. Tears started to fall from Rays face.
