When gen six was announced, I felt kind of iffy about it, but I fell in love with all the starters. And, oh my goodness...Sylveon is gorgeous. I kind of forgot about it after that. Then, last week I checked out all the Pokemon that have been announced so far, and I can't contain how happy I am. I'll admit that the last two gens were let downs to me, for the most part, but I really love what I've seen of gen six.
Especially X's mascot Pokemon. *drools* I know what version I'm getting!
I'm also impressed that they chose a worldwide release date, instead of releasing the game over several months in different parts of the world. I think this means that I won't know the version exclusives if I want to buy it on the day it comes out, unless Nintendo tells us (which I'm not counting on) but that's okay.

And I was so torn in between X and Y legendaries... Yveltal is cool, but Xerneas... GAH
I think I'm going with X, though, as long as the game exclusives look just as good as the legendary. But I'll be in college when it comes out, so I have to make sure I have the money for it... ;^;

I like Yveltal because its design is easier to remember than Xerneas', so I don't have as much trouble drawing it, and since I *love* drawing Pokémon, that sort of makes me like its design more. XD
And Fennekin is just ADORABLE! I feel like Chespin is a rip-off of Oshawott, and with Oshawott being my favorite starter, I don't even care how cute Chespin is, because it's basically stolen cuteness. I also don't really like Froakie simply because I have no idea where its design came from. Bubbly-cloudy-sky-frog-with-dark-blue-glasses is not as simple as brown-Oshawott-in-a-hat or EPIC-FIRE-FENNEC-FOX-<3.

I'm just wondering why they're taking so long to reveal all the new Pokemon. They haven't even revealed the 2nd or last evolution of the starters.

At first, I wanted a copy of Y, so I could get the wyvern legendary. (Just keeping it at that, because I couldn't spell or pronounce it's name for my life.) But then I realized how much the other legendary seemed to be based off things I liked, even if it was less original that the other one. Foresty deer + Lifalope + Daywalker = unoriginal but cool legendary.
Overall, I think they could have been a bit more original with the designs...a lot of them seem to be related to boring objects or previous Pokemon.

Fennekin is I believe, a Fennec Fox (who uses fire types) and Chespin is Chestnut (Seen the thing on it's head?) + Porcupine I believe.
