Kya was finally able to catch up with them, it wasn't
difficult, but he didn't wanted to run.. not yet.
Before him there was a huge wall and Cell was standing there. He
looked at the scratches leading to the left, it wasn't a good sign,
but he felt like the left side was calling him, a hunch. Without
waiting, he went to the Left.
Oh hell, The Umbreon had forgotten how annoying Watt was "Can you SHUT UP?!" Kya said as he kept walking "or at least lower your
voice.. I don't want to make whatever that thing is find us"
not faster that it would anyway
*sigh* wow, he wasn't even in the labyrinth yet and he can already
hear Watt shouting…this was going to be one hell of a day. He
dicided to run towards the lucario, great he hasn't moved yet, well
since he didn't want to be near that annoying little thing he
decided to go right. Hopefully this won't lead to absolutely
nowhere…
The scratches continued forward after the left
turn. There were more than one set of scratches in this
"trail". Unfortunately, that was the extent of the differences
between this room (or was it a hallway?) and the last where the
Lucario was.
"Hey what--quit shouting will you?!" Cell snarled at Watt,
only to see the transformed Rotom dash off to the left. And
probably with K-something too, if what he said was any indication.
What on earth scratches did they mean? He began looking around and
finally saw the scratches on the ground. Oh. Of course he saw
that.
He looked up again when he heard the...Nappy's? Sure, Nappy.
Nappy's footsteps coming near, and then he...went right. Great,
first fork and there's this split huh.
Between the choice of getting to learn more about the Druddigon
yeah right and going with Watt and K-something...not hard to
make. Cell made a right turn.
The Napoleon and Cell were met with what appeared to be a
corner: they could continue onwards with a left-turn. The "room"
itself had a few small puddles on the cave(?) floor. If they tried
to feel the walls, they might find odd protrusions. Or they might
not. It's hard to tell when things are in relatively dim-light.
The Umbreon started going forward as he watched how the
scratches kept going.. He didn't knew what made them, but it looked
like a trail of sorts. He wanted to remember the turns he made, in
case he needed to go back.
After a while he realized the Lucario hadn't come with them..
probably because of Watt.. whatever, he'd just try to ignore him.
After all, he might even be useful in a fight?
Cell didn't think much on the next step to take. He went
straight for the LEFT turn. He stepped into one of the
puddles, but otherwise paid no mind to that particular
detail of the room.
Kya now had a choice of continuing forward, where the scratches
led. Or to take a left turn, where there was a faint sort of glow.
It could be something worth looking into, after-all: surely it
wasn't a trick of the light, in the darkness of the labyrinth...
Right?
As for the Lucario, his options of paths-to-take increased with
going either forward...or taking a right turn. There was a steady
drip of water coming from the right-turn side. Kind of. It was
rather faint. And straight ahead there was...no sound to be heard
at all.
Kya saw the light faint.. or that thing. He decided to leave
watt behind for his own mental health and went Left towards
the light. The Umbreon let a soft laugh due to his own "joke", he
felt like an insect following the light and inside that huge
maze.
Wait... The Lucario had all the food?
Gee, in a corridor were you just entered only has one other exit to
the left, obviously go right! His eyes rolled as he moved towards
the left…huh this room feels strage, hopefully he doesn't feel this
through the whole dungeon, I mean labyrinth. Huh so it's another
split…the forward path freaked him out a bit, but between a soldier
or a king, he is a loyal soldier following his king till the end,
instead of an order a suggestion seemed better for him "want to go
right?"
Cell looked back at Nappy for a moment, then nodded his
head. And then thought to add words since he wasn't sure the
Druddigon could see him nod: "Yeah sure." Taking a right
turn, he started wondering if it might have been a good idea to
bring a notepad or something to mark down all these turns and the
like. So far: a right, a left, and now another right?
Easy so far.
The light turned out to be a flashlight! Good job Kya, you've
found a single flashlight that can illuminate up to 60 feet ahead
of you. Of course, visibility gets spotty after the 40 feet mark,
but this should make traveling in this dark labyrinth much
easier--until the batteries run out. It's batteries though, are
surprisingly full...I wonder who left it here?
As the Lucario entered the room, there was nothing of particular
note in the room--and the only choice was a right turn. The sound
of dripping water has decreased, if not completely disappeared for
him (and, presumably, for Napoleon as well).
"Nice, a flashlight " Well Kya had no idea were to go, there
was nothing that he could use as a guide.
The Umbreon looked back to the place he came from and decided to go
back and follow the scratches forward
Thankfully the lucario agreed, he secretly sighed a small sigh of
relief as he went to the next room. Great another single turn,
obvious choice is obvious, well it's better than a dead end. A
strange dread started creeping over him, he heard cries of
children…ughh great not that place again, he tought he got over it
already…it isn't going away…let's try to forget it with, he checked
his arms before remembering that he left the book in his room, damn
it, fine then, he'll start a conversation, anything to forget…there
"hey, Cell you wanna talk", wow he managed to already forget
everyone's names except for him and yang, whose name he just
remembered.
The Umbreon can either head forward, following the
scratch-trail. However...there was another set of scratches,
leading towards the right turn. Between the two, there were more
scratches heading forward than there were to the right. Which way
does he (and Watt, presumably) choose?
In the dim light for Napoleon and Cell: the room appeared to have
no turns or other path. Instead, there was a box of some
kind...upon closer inspection, it will appear to be a chest. And a
locked one at that. Looks like finding a key will be a priority if
they want to open the chest. Perhaps their only option was to head
back...?
There was nothing else to be found in the room.
Cell frowned, hoping to have another path. Sure, he went
further into the room to check out what the box-looking object was.
And trying to open it didn't help. "Hm?"
His ears perked up and he turned his attention to Nappy. "About
what? I think this thing's locked, for what it's worth."
Although maybe they could force it open... Or break the chest. On a
whim, he asked: "Think we should break it?"
"OH. MY. GOSH! THIS IS SO ANNOYING!" Watt screams, and looks
around. Yep, still on the maze...and more scratches "WE'RE GOING ON
THE SCRATCH PATH! SCRATCH! PATH!" he screams more, going that way.
"Anything really" Napoleon gave a bit of thought "about our past
before the mansion maybe?". The moment he gave the second question
he smiled a bit "you read my mind, tough we should probably break
the lid open instead of breaking the whole chest." Wait did he just
say more than one sentence?
As Watt moved forward, following the path with more
scratches, the trail continued forward. There was also a left
turn in this room--though no sound can be heard from where they
were. Forward or left, that is the question.
"If you wanna blather about it, go ahead. I ain't got much to say
about mine." To you, Cell thought. He wasn't going to
spill his life to some guy who kept his nose in a book. Or an
outright stranger (which is the more probable cause, frankly).
"Just the lid huh. You got anything good? I might be able to use
Metal Claw on it, maybe swipe at it from the side." He punctuated
the thought with a mime'd horizontal strike, as if aiming to sever
the lid of the chest from the square-container part.
"Very well" should have expected an answer like that from someone
like you he muttered under his breath. He tried to think about a
different topic "hobbies?" was the most normal conversation starter
he could think of, he hasn't started one in a while. "Unless you
want a massive tail destroying half the chest, then no I don't have
anything" strike away he thought
"Wearing masks. Is reading yours?" Without further comment, the
Lucario took off his left glove. His paw glowed briefly with
concentrated power before he made his swipe against the chest's
lid. And if it didn't break, well, he'd bet they didn't really want
what was inside in the first place anyway!
The lid of the treasures chest shattered, the swipe
destroying the lock and the wood in one fell swoop. As the large
chunks fell in, there were dull 'clack'ing sounds and one soft
'dun'. Some more wood? Some metal? The darkness would make it
difficult to tell what the item was, but it could be carried fairly
easily.
It is not a weapon, though it may be something of interest if they
could get enough light to see what it is.It is a plaque.
"Was that an indirect insult" his eyes rolled a bit tough, though
it would be a bit hard to see that in the dark. "Yes, it is but I'd
rather surf on the internet" his eyes strayed towards a strangely
specific direction "and finding that here would be a bit hard, I'm
pretty sure". He smiled as he heard cracking "Pretty sure there
isn't anything else here, and whatever this is it'll probably not
be useful if we just left it here" he reached into the chest and
grabbed whatever he could get in his hand "Come on lets go back"
