Name: Bastiaan
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Demon
Appearance: Left
History: Even being told that human interaction was forbidden, Bastiaan had still been curious on how humans lived their lives. He was kept away from them, being told that the only reason the humans were there was for the demons to take their souls. They were not to befriend the humans, as consequences would be given immediately. The demons should take the souls from those who are oblivious and stay away from the ones who were aware. But, Bastiaan ignored all these warnings. His curiosity got the best of him and he merged himself into the human way of life. Still being a demon, the temptations to consume souls still clung to him.
Personality: He is typically the quiet, observant type, but is not afraid to engage in conversation. He is shown to be strong willed against his 'purpose' as a demon.
Other: yeh idk
Edmund's form:
Name: Durae (der-ay)
Age: 15
Gender: male
Species: human
Appearance: (I don't have a picture yet rip) he's shorter than average and has short messy white hair and sapphire eyes. He wears a silver ring with the pride symbol on it on his right ring finger, and a purple watch on his left wrist. He also wears black and white tennis shoes.
History: ehh
Other: the ring was given to him by a black-cloaked man sitting on a bench. (Maybe that can be important idk)

...Which didn't happen - the male was still sound asleep and snoring, like there was no tomorrow. It was only until several minutes later when something finally clicked in the sleeping demon's brain on what time it was in the real world and he was startled awake.
"Shoot!" the demon muttered under his breath as he threw away the blanket that had just been bundled around him. "I'll never get used to waking up at a time like this!"
He snatched up a clean, white dress shirt and a black tie that was lying on top of his dresser and slipped on a pair of black skinny jeans. He quickly buttoned up his shirt and adjusted his tie, then ran to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Afterwards, he snatched up his bag and ran out the door and down the stairs to the main level of the apartment.
The humidity from outside hit him immediately after he opened the door, but he paid little to no attention to it as he reduced his speed and just walked quickly down the sidewalk, straight to school.

The bench was old and not a very appealing site. The once-beautiful medium brown wood was now tattered and dripping from the rainstorm that had occurred the previous night. Durae took a deep breath and slugged over to the bench. He gently placed his pale right hand upon the seating area of the bench, as if to measure the amount of water in which the wood soaked. Satisfied with his answer, he removed his hand and wiped it against his pants, even though he knew it wouldn't help get off the small droplets of water that had once been on said bench. He let out a sigh of displeasure and checked his watch. Only two minutes had passed. He brushed back his hair with his hand and continued on his way to the school.
He didn't really mind if he was late to first period, as history was always his least favorite subject. "Those people are dead. Why do they matter?" was always his immature excuse. And every time he asked, his teacher would reply, "it's important to know the details of our ancestors and how they lived."
What's the whole point of school anyway? He thought to himself. He let out another deep sigh and closed his eyes.
So many times had he passed this road. So many times had be traveled this path. He unwillingly knew it by heart. However, his thoughts were disrupted when he suddenly bumped into someone.
Checking both ways for cars, he then crossed the street to get to the school and made his way inside. This would be his first actual day taking classes in this school and he knew no one around him. Which, didn't exactly bother him - the less attention he got, the better. Just need to blend in...
The male made his way straight to his first said class, which was economics, something he knew absolutely nothing about. "Great way to start off, huh," he mumbled to himself under his breath, so only he could hear. Just what exactly was so important about 'school' in this human life? He had gotten off just fine without it where he was. Then again, we only had one purpose.
His first class was upstairs and not far down from the staircase he took. The classroom was lacking any sign of human life; not even the teacher was in there yet. He took a random seat in the back of the room, slid his bag up onto his desk, and laid his head down, waiting for the second bell to ring. The clock read 7:52 AM.

"Better watch where you're going there," he said jokingly as he patted the boy's head. Durae, disliking social interaction, simply nodded and apologized under his breath as he began walking away. It had always bothered him how teachers were stationed at the front of the school to watch the students and ensure that they were safe as they entered the school grounds. He hated it even more how they would always be asking why he was so late to his first period class.
His train of thought instantly froze when he remembered what his history teacher had told him.
One more tardy, and you'll be staying in detention after school.
As much as Durae hated history, he hated detention more and thought of it as a waste of his time. He had only been put in detention once, but three detentions meant a suspension, which would mean angry parents. He sighed and checked his watch once more, which read 7:55. "I can make it in five minutes," he said to himself.
He began speed walking as he made his way through the school halls, bumping into people since the halls were rather narrow.
He quickly ran into class and basically flopped into his seat right as the first period bell rang.
When the second bell finally rang, Bastiaan lifted his head up and took a look at all the other students surrounding him and traced their gazes back to where the teacher was standing - already in the front of the room. The man was taking attendance of all the students in the room and all the voices had surprisingly stopped.
Just then, there was a knock on the classroom door and the teacher paused at what he was doing to open it. The other person did not step in the room and instead handed a small slip of paper to the teacher and left. The teacher looked down at the paper and looked up towards his students. "Bastiaan?" he called out, sounding almost confused.
The demon's eyes widened a bit in his own confusion and he stood up from his desk and slung his bag over his shoulder and walked to the front of the room, feeling all the eyes from the students around him on him. The teacher handed him the pass and said "Office" before he looked back at the seating chart on the paper he had been holding.
Without saying a word himself, Bastiaan left the classroom and made his way down to the office. He assumed that since he was in the back of the school, the office would be on the opposite end, so he went by that. His thought was correct as after a five minute walk down the long narrow hallways, he found himself looking straight at the office.
He opened the office door and entered, walking up to the big desk that was just a few feet away. The lady who sat at the desk looked pretty young and reading her name tag, her name seemed to be Mrs. White. The male handed his pass to her and he watched her, waiting for some sort of response.
"Oh, hello! You must be the new student attending here. The reason why I called you down here is because we had to change your schedule," she said in a friendly tone.
She paused, but then started talking once again as she noticed the indifferent look on Bastiaan's face.
"Unfortunately, we couldn't find anything in your records that says you took any of the classes you should have took while you were a Freshman, and it's required that you do so here. I'm sure it's not going to matter much as you just started." She paused in her speaking and shifted through some of the papers on her desk. "And here is your new schedule!"
Bastiaan took the sheet of paper that Mrs. White had held out for him and he turned to leave. "Uhm, thank you," he muttered, feeling a bit uncomfortable as it was his first actual words toward a human.
He made his way back into the hall way and looked at the sheet of paper to see where his next class was. If he remembered correctly, it had to be one of the classrooms he passed when he first walked into the school. He stifled a sigh and began to walk in the direction of the classroom, still holding on to the bit of confidence he mustered in finding out the truth.

It was almost like a daily ritual. Durae had become so prone to hearing the instructor call out the names and listening to the students call out, "here".
He began daydreaming as the teacher and students' voices slowly distanced themselves into an echo in the background. And yet another boring fourth-five minutes of history class. How grand, Durae thought.
He suddenly felt a sharp pain make itself known in his arm as the student next to him elbowed him to gain his attention. Durae's focus transited to the student, who was pointing at the teacher. "Mr. Sakimoto?" Durae looked at the teacher as he grabbed his red pen. "Tardy again, I suppose." Durae raised his hand and stuttered a bit. "I-I'm here, Mr. Tetsuya." The teacher looked surprised when he heard the teen's voice.
"Oh, glad you're actually here today - on time," the teacher smirked. Durae heard a few of the students giggle at the instructor's sarcasm. Durae already hated the subject of history with a burning passion, and his "stupid teacher and classmates" didn't help. The teacher coughed and tried to quit smiling long enough to finish role calling. "Alright class, let's not get carried away here." Mr. Tetsuya cleared his throat and continued taking attendance. Durae let out a huff of annoyance.
Thankfully, his classroom was downstairs near the doorway of the school. He paused for a short second before he reached for the doorknob and pulled open the door, entering another full classroom.
"Mr. Kaake?" the teacher said, not looking up from his paper.
"Right here," came Bastiaan's short response as he closed the door behind him.
All eyes were on him once again and the teacher's gaze moved over to his direction as well. Instead of questioning anything, the teacher just said "Take an empty seat."
The male took a quick glance around the room for an empty desk before he moved and he spotted one between a white-haired boy and a brown haired girl. Without another word, he made his way over to the desk and sat down, still feeling several of the other students' gaze on him. Not wanting to make any eye contact with the people around him, he just looked back towards the teacher as he finished taking attendance of the other students in the room.

The teacher turned around in his spin-chair and began shuffling some things in his yaffa blocks until he pulled out a thick brown textbook. He spun back around and checked a list on his desk's top, which Durae assumed was today's lesson plans.
"Please take out your textbooks and flip to page two-hundred eighty-seven."
Surprisingly, the class period seemed to go by quickly, as well as the other three class periods.
Durae released a sigh of happiness, yet slight exhaustion when the lunch bell finally rang. He packed up all of his books and writing utensils and threw his backpack over his shoulder and began making his way through the school's dull halls. Durae never really ate that much, but he enjoyed having a break from class time. He stopped in front of his locker and dropped his backpack harshly on the school's floor. He unzipped it and began putting his overly-filled binders in his locker. Despite his carelessness, he kept his locker rather clean and organized.
After he had finished emptying out his bag, he picked it up to put on top of the lockers.
Even though Durae was fifteen, he was only five feet tall, which made the task of putting his backpack on top of the tall lockers rather difficult. He was thankful enough that he had gotten a locker on the bottom row, but he didn't understand why they had to be so tall.
After he had finally gotten his backpack to stay, he began making his way towards the cafeteria.
It was now time for lunch in the school, but first, he had to stop at his locker. As he was new to the school, he had gotten textbooks from the classes he had so far and he definitely didn't feel like carrying them around for the rest of the day. The stop at his locker was short, as he only needed to put these textbooks away and he was soon on his way to the school's cafeteria.
He didn't know exactly what he was going to do as he never had human food before and it sure didn't sound appetizing to him. At this point, he was hungry either, so he decided he was just going to sit through the lunch period. He knew he would have to take a soul from a human sooner or later, but for now he wasn't too worried about it. And he definitely wasn't going to do it in plain sight either.
He eventually made it into the cafeteria and there were still several tables that were completely empty, so he sat down at an empty one in the back and watched as the rest of the humans got in line to buy their lunches, or sat down at other tables with the lunches they brought themselves.

He began subconsciously walking to the table where he sat every lunch period when he noticed someone sitting in his seat.
"What's the new guy thinking?" He huffed. "Sitting in my seat..."
He let out a breath and made his way to the table anyway. He didn't want to talk to the new student, but he didn't want to find a new place to sit, either, so he simply decided to sit on the opposite end of the table on the opposite side. He stabbed the meat with his plastic fork and lifted it up to his nose for a smell. He wrinkled his nose at the meat's burnt smell and hit his plate with it until it slipped off the fork.
"Great. Looks like lunch's a gross batch today," he sighed. He fiddled around with the mashed potatoes on his plate with his fork until he glanced over at the new student.
He watched from the corner of his eye as the boy examined the food on his plate and he noticed the disgusted look on his face as he took a sniff of the food. Heh, I don't blame him.
Seconds after, the boy spoke up loud enough for Bastiaan to hear, and complained about the food. The demon was silent for a few moments before he turned his head, meeting the boy's sapphire gaze with his own. "Is this what you actually eat?" came his response, with more confidence in this sentence than his previous encounter with the lady in the school's office.

"What's he trying to do? Start up a conversation?" He mumbled under his breath, hoping the older teen wouldn't hear him this time. He continued poking at his food until he decided to attempt at continuing the conversation.
"So, you're new here. Let me just give you some advice: the lunches here suck, even though they're expansive. It's a waste of money to pay for them unless you enjoy eating death. The P.E. coach is a wackadoodle, so don't get on his bad side. Oh yeah, and uh," he paused for a moment, then mumbled the words "don't keep sitting in my seat" softly under his breath.
The male couldn't help but look down at the other's plate of food as he replied. "Well, I wasn't exactly planning on eating anyways," he said, chuckling almost nervously, which was then hidden by a smile.
Ah, I'm definitely gonna go back to hell for this.. "Thanks for the advice; I'll be sure to put it to good use."
The boy seemed to be giving off a friendly vibe, though most of what he said was indifferent, but Bastiaan didn't seem to notice.

Durae mentally pouted as he made his way to the gym. When he finally reached the gym, he made his way to the locker rooms: where the students got changed.
He silently opened and closed the dressing room's door and made his way to the back corner of the room, attempting to avoid all eye contact. He gently placed his bag on the ground and pulled out a medium-grey t-shirt, as well as a pair of navy blue shorts. He typically wore his white jacket on top of his shirt for comfort.
He noticed his white shoelaces on his black high top sneakers were loose, and bent down to tie them quickly as some of the other freshmen began making their way out of the small room. As he stood up, he hit his head on one of the locker doors. He let out a deep breath of utter annoyance as a result.
He made his way through the crowd of the other incoming students who now had lunch and entered the gym. The locker room was just next to where he had come in, which the male thought was quite convenient. Though, he had already seen some students had changed into other clothes that would better suit them for the class, and he figured that he would have to do so as well. He didn't have a gym uniform, so he would have to ask for one. So much for not avoiding the gym teacher, like the boy he spoke to had warned.
It wasn't hard to find out who the gym teacher was. Within moments he spotted the teacher, who seemed to be a bulky guy that was serious about what he did. Taking in a deep breath, he approached the teacher and went right to asking his question. "Uh, I'm new here and don't have a uniform. Is there any way I could buy or borrow one for today?"

He took a deep breath and began making his way towards the other students. "Alright class, line up," the couch shouted in his typical football voice. The coach was a rather...big man. He was strong, but he wasn't necessarily thin, either. Durae counted about twenty-four students in the gym. There were four gym classes - two for the boys, and two for the girls. Durae didn't really like the fact that the school would differentiate people by their genders, but he didn't want the girls seeing his scrawny self in his gym clothes, so he decided not to complain about it.
"We're going to start with our daily five-minute run. Remember, if you stop running, you gotta do fifteen push-ups."
Durae heard the whole class release a breath of disappointment when the coach announced the five-minute run. Despite only being five minutes, it actually felt like a long time, but Durae found it less difficult than running a mile.
It was fairly decent outside, so he assumed that the class would momentarily be heading out there to run the track. As all the students were dismissed by the coach to go outside, the male found himself looking down at this new attire. "I look pathetic in this," he muttered under his breath as he followed behind the other students who were leading the way.
Through the crowd, he spotted the boy with the white hair and decided to catch up. He shifted through the other students, trying not to bump into any of them and tapped on the boy's shoulder. "Hey," he said casually, looking down at the human, who was about a foot shorter than he was.

"I saw you over there with the coach," he stated flatly. "I'm not sure how you managed to keep him from yelling at you for not having a uniform." He chuckled a bit after his remark.
The boy had felt like he had been running pretty well until the coach yelled at him for running slowly. He was never really the typical "athletic type", and all the students did in Physical Education was sports. He was surprised he even managed to get a passing grade in the class.
He took another deep breath before he began speaking.
"So, new guy, I never did get your name," he said with unamusement. I need to know the name of the guy I want to kill for sitting in my seat at lunch. He sheepishly smiled at his own thoughts.
