Hey there! I did some thinking when I was going through my boxes: I have a lot of Pokemon that are just, kind of, sitting there, in large quantities. People who do hunts probably understand what I'm talking about. Lately, I've simply been releasing Absols as soon as they're hatched. But, maybe other users want these Pokemon, y'know? So, maybe an Adoption Clinic could be set up where users can adopt 1-2 Pokemon a day that would otherwise be released. I know there's the GTS and the Auction House, but GTS requires trade and sometimes I don't really want a Pokemon, I just want to get rid of it, right? As for the Auction House, it simply takes too much time, especially if you have tons of Pokemon that you need to get rid of. Maybe have this Clinic set up like your Storage Boxes, except instead of "Release" as an option, there's a "Dropoff" option. From there, users can search for a Pokemon and adopt it if it's available. It still keeps the OT that hatched the Pokemon, and retains it stats. Like stated before, it could be limited to 1-2 adopt a day or so. I feel like this way, people have a chance to get a Pokemon that they want, from others who don't mind donating it. Of course, the Pokemon like Mewtwo, Deoxys, etc. would be exempt from this for the same reasons that they can't be traded or sold. Let me know what you all think!

+1 Support. I just have to many Skitties/Purrloins/Liepards, etc, and there isn't any place to put them, especially as I don't have room in my boxes and don't have the PD to get another one.

I think this is a pretty handy idea, especially for those looking to complete the dex.

Perhaps it'll have the same mechanic as the lab too -- if someone grabs the pokemon you're attempting to grab it notifies you that it's been adopted?

Also, add in that not only can users adopt 1-2, but make sure users can only put up to 1-2 pokemon for the Clinic.

I don't wanna see the same user put up like 100 roggenrola's all at once.

@Cloud_9, but that's exactly it: We LITERALLY have 100 (insert Pokemon name here) that we want to get rid of. It shouldn't come up as a list, it'll just be a search tab that you can use to adopt Pokemon that YOU want :)

Suggestion to this suggestion:
2 is such a low number for adoptions of this nature.

So my suggestion is to have 2 as the base number
Add 3 to it if a user is under a week old (total of 5)

And +1 for every 10 trainer levels.

So someone like Ecco could get a total of 15 per day due to having 130 for the trainer levels that count. (137)

This way people who hoard certain pokemon can adopt them, and the slots don't HAVE to be used.
Plus the odds are that the higher trainer leveled users release a lot more pokemon, lol.
(Like I have a ton of events that I want to get rid of but don't want to release and seem to not sell in the AH for 1K pd >.<)

Suggestion for this suggestion:
It would be cool if the Pokemon put in the Adoption Clinic would be released by the "Owner of the clinic" after a few days

Support, but what if someone adopts a Pokemon and sells it at the AH? That isn't really fair...

@Umbreon

well, it's pretty fair seeing that the person who originally owned it could have done it themselves and chose to do otherwise. seeing that the owner doesn't want it anymore, the adopter can do whatever they wish with the pokémon

i would do it so they can get up to 6 adoptions a day
Don't grow up, it's a trap.

Support! Will this be open for releasing events? Since I'm shiny hunting Gloweon and would like to give them off to needy newbies.

@PkmnTrainerV of course, but some Event Pokemon might need to be exempt. For example, MissingNo. was just released as a new event, but it can't be traded or sold. I think the same rule applies there, but otherwise, Pokemon like Mr. Bag on or Slowyore, sure!

I am having trouble finding a way to support this.
There's ways for people to obtain every pokemon in game. The main point of this game is to hatch, breed and evolve every pokemon on our own. Unobtainable pokemon are released again later in events, and you can always trade. People can just create a trading thread for hunt extras, or put a few up in the GTS/Auction house for free(or cheap in AH) for newbies. I don't think we need an entire new feature for it.

My main reason for being unable to support it is probably due to seeing reasoning against such a suggestion in the past.

Maybe you can change my mind?

@Lugia, the initial idea was to help users who have lots of Pokemon that they don't want, but don't want to release them either. The GTS and the Auction House would be obsolete (and time-consuming) because you can't drop off, say, 30 at once. Remember when we didn't have Delibird Item Delivery, and we had to set up items for trade one by one on the GTS? This is kind of the same thing, except with Pokemon. We want to get rid of Pokemon in bulk, but at the same time, want other users to have them if they want them. If the user doesn't want to use the feature, they don't have to. And, as stated before, there would be a limit on how many Pokemon a user can adopt in a day, and, any Pokemon that are trade/sell locked (i.e., MissingNo., Mewtwo, Deoxys, etc.) would not be able to be set up at the clinic.

@teius probably not. That could cause major issues between users. Maybe if your Pokemon is still in the clinic and nobody adopted it, sure, or if it was a mistake, but other than that, if they adopted it, it's theirs.

definitely support o3o

tbh this would be such a help for users who are hunting for a shiny mega hunt since those hunts usually go up to a few thousands, and what would you even do with 3,000 numels? plus, this is better than simply releasing them because it can help other people with completing their dex.

question:

let's say that i have a box full with 100 charmanders, and i set them all up in this "clinic", will the box become empty and the charmanders will become "stored" in the clinic, or would the box still have the charmanders?
