"Oh, no. I was just getting out of the way of you two, it's fine."
Ellie said, shaking her head. She slid back into the pool, and the
water enveloped her body up to her chest, while the rest of her
bobbed above the water as she stayed in one place. She smiled at
the two, her teeth shiny and white. "So, Marco Polo, eh?" She
asked, smiling.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"Yeah, wanna join us?" I asked, flashing her a playful grin. "So,
who's going to be the tagger?" Kain asked. "I don't know, do be
honest. We can vote, I suppose." I replied, focusing my attention
on him. "So.. I mean I don't really mind being the tagger." I
pointed out. "Same here." Kain added. "Well, what about you Ellis?"
I asked her, raising a brow.
"Oh, I don't really mind what role I have, tagger or whatever.
Anything floats my boat~!" Ellis said, smiling. She hadn't swam in
a year, at least, much less play Marco-Polo. Besides, she never
really had friends to play the game with. But the past was they
past, now was now. She maintained her smile, continuing to bob in
the water.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"Kain's the tagger." I said automatically. "What?" Kain
asked, "Okay fine." he sighed, closing his eyes. I backed away from
him "I'm ready." I called out to him. "Alright, what about Ellis?"
he asked. "I don't know, ask her, not me." I replied.
Ellis took a few steps back as well, before stating "I'm ready
too~!" She smiled, being a lover of this game since she could slip
past people easily without them noticing she was even there. She
guessed being skinny and flexible was good.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"Alright." Kain replied, "Marco." he called, "Polo" I swam
to the right, Kain followed the sound of my voice, only to find me
missing. "Darn." He spat. I laughed, realizing my mistake he tagged
me "Dang it!" I half-shouted. "Haha, make better choices Hugh." he
grinned. "Come here you-" I reached out for him, and the wrestling
thought to be over, beginned once again.
Ellis stood off to the side of the fighting, smiling. I giggled,
and watched, finding sibling arguing and playful fighting to be
cute and nice. God her friends were too adorable and cute and nerdy
and- Okay, she needed to calm down.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
After a few minutes of rough-housing they stopped, I let go of
Kain. "I think the majority of this time we've been fighting." I
sighed "No Sherlock." Kain muttered, "Shut up." I splashed him in
the face with water, "Hey!" he chirped. "No smart remarks out of
you, mister." I scolded him. "I'll make smart remarks whenever I
want, mom." He teased.
"Ladies, ladies. You're both beautiful, now shut up and stop
fighting before I pop a cap in both of your asses." Ellis said with
a sickly sweet tone, contradicting her words completely. She got
between them, a hand on each of their chest lightly.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"Alright. You asked for it." I said, picking up Ellis off
her feet and let her dangle in the air. "This is Lieutenant Kain
reporting for duty." Kain said. "Alright Lieutenant, we've got a
118 here. What do you think we should do with her?" I ruffled
Ellis's hair. Kain grinned, I already knew what he was onto, so I
did just that and let go of her, so that she fell into the pool
water. "Mission completed." Kain laughed. "100 EXP!" I
added.
Ellis squirmed in Alain's grip, getting flustered. When he let go,
she gasped and went under, water flooding into her mouth. She shot
up, coughed out the water, but started laughing. "So... rude...."
She got out between giggles, shaking her head.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"I'm the rudest." I ran a hand through my hair. Kain just
continued laughing, clearly enjoying the moment. "We make a good
threesome." I grinned. "No kidding." Kain commented.
"WE'RE THE THREE MUSKETERS!...Or something like that." Ellis said,
pumping her fist in the air. But when she noticed a few looks she
was getting and how loud she said that, she blushed, mumbling the
last part lightly.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"It's official." I grinned. "I'm Athos!" Kain declared "I
wanted to be Athos though." I sighed. "Let's just stay away from
the franchise." I commented. "Agreed." Kain replied. I noticed
Ellis blush "What's wrong?" I asked her, raising an
eyebrow.
"Oh, nothing. Awww, then I'm stuck as a guy..." Ellis said,
crossing her arms and pouting a bit. Her bottom lip stuck out a
little, and she made a 'humph' noise.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"What's wrong with being a guy?" I asked. "Are they not
cool enough for you?" Kain asked, "No, she can dream. She can never
be as cool as me." I grinned.
"Ooooh, sure. I'm much cooler than you, hun... Sorry but t's
true..." Ellis said, placing a hand on Alain's shoulder. She shook
her head lightly in mock pity for the boy.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"I think you're mistaking, sister." I replied, ruffling
Ellis's hair. "You need to stop making this nonsense up, I think
you need a trip to the doctor." I added. "I think you both need to
stop making this nonsense up." Kain muttered, I shoved him into the
water after he said that. He came up to the surface and coughed up
water "You're grounded." I smirked. Kain started cursing under his
breath.
"I am not making it up! You're both grounded!" Ellis shouted,
tackling the two under the water with a giant leap. She giggled and
breathed in before she went under, taking the college and high
school boys down with her.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
The two of us came back up "We're all grounded." we both
said in unison. Then laughed. "You should've seen your face when
she tackled you under." Kain smirked "Likewise, my compadre." Alain
added. I began to trace words against my skin with my finger, it
was something we've been doing our whole lives. Ever since we
realized we needed a way to silently communicate with each other.
S-N-A-C-K-B-R-E-A-K? I asked. O-K-A-Y Kain wrote back. "You up for
some snacks Ellis? I'm pretty sure Kain packed some while I was
away." I asked her.
