"...Did you seriously just notice that? I noticed that like two
hours ago. You've lived together your whole lives, so the fact you
just noticed that is pretty depressing." Ellis said, with a raised
brow. 'I mean, I noticed me and my brother's names rhymed when I
was like... five. And they're noticing it when they're in
highschool and college.' She thought, almost laughing at the
stupid predicament.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"We're pretty busy guys." I said. Kain gasped "How about we
go to the pool when Alain get's let out of the hospital!" he said
excitedly. "No." I replied. "Awh.. come on.. you know you like to
swim." Kain nudged me with an elbow. "Besides, if your not gonna
come.. I'll just go with Ellis." Kain grinned. "Fine. Fine. I'll
come, but who said Ellis was coming?" I sighed. "She might be
busy." I added. "Oh, I never thought of that.." Kain
frowned.
"I can come! I mean, the play practices won't happen for a few
days! So, I'm up for swimming." Ellis said, then mentally slapped
herself. 'Idiot! You hate being in a swimsuit, no matter how
much you like swimming! You might as well swim in your
clothes!' She scolded herself, and she winced mentally.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"I'm only coming because I don't want you both getting
yourselves hurt." I said. "You just hate being in a swimsuit." Kain
muttered. "I do hate it. But it's not the end of the world.
Besides, I would literally end myself if my something happened to
my little brother." I replied. "Your so overprotective.." Kain
grunted.
"Awww, you are so protective it's adorable!" Ellis purred, putting
her hands together and pressing them to her cheek. Her eyes
glistened, since she thought they were adorable. She bounced up and
down, giggling at the two being so freaking adorable. It reminded
her of her brother and herself, since her brother was soooo
overprotective.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"Shut up!" They both said in sync, their cheeks flushing
with embarrassment. They didn't really mean to be rude, but they
were pretty embarrassed. "W-were not adorable!" they said once
again in sync.
"Oh oh oh! But you are~! You really are!" Ellis said, her smile
growing at the two's flushed faces. Oh my Lanta, they could be so
adorable sometimes. Wait, scratch that. They were always adorable.
Completely Adorable, 24/7.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
I was finally let out of the hospital. I pulled out my phone and
called Kain "Hey, Kain. You ready to go to the pool?" I asked.
"Yeah, we can change into our swim trunks in the restrooms once we
get there though." he spoke. "Alright. I'll meet you back at home.
Ellis should know where to go." I added before Kain ended the call.
Once I was back on my front porch I knocked on the door, Kain
letting me in. "Grab your swim trunks and let's go dude!" Kain said
gesturing to the small bag he prepped. "Alright, geez! Calm
yourself, goofball." I ruffled his hair and jogged over to my room.
I grabbed my black swim trunks and jogged back to Kain, I put them
in the bag and grinned "Let's go." and they made their way to the
pool.
Ellis was in her room, and she decided to change real quick before
heading to the pool. She slipped on a purple tankini, ruffles
stretching across the front of her top piece. She put a super long
hoodie over it, the hoodie going to her knees. She put on some
sandals, and made her way to the pool with a bag holding a towel
and sunscreen over her shoulder. She caught some glances, but
mostly ignored them.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
We were already at the pool. We didn't want to go in yet,
since they noticed Ellis wasn't here yet. "Should you call her?"
Kain asked. "I don't have her phone number, dork." I replied. "Just
wait.. it's been scientifically proven that girls take longer to do
everything." I added. "Oh?" Kain raised a brow.
Ellis entered the pool, and saw the boys. She waved with a smile,
and walked over to them, smiling at them. "Hey guys! How are you?"
She asked, greeting them with enthusiasm. She felt her hair
swinging behind her, and continued to grin at them happily.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
I was pretty sure Kain was thinking the same thing I was
"Good. We need to change into our swim trunks.. so we'll excuse
ourselves." I said as we both walked into the men's restroom. Once
we changed I said "I don't wanna go out there." Kain gave me a
silly look "Come on, it's not that bad. Everyone else in the town
knows." "Yeah.. but I still get judgmental looks.. Ms. Jones told
me to cover myself up. And that it was indecent." I replied
nervously. "Oh come on. Ms. Jones is always in a grumpy mood." Kain
dragged me outside. I crossed my arms "Your a bad brother Kain." I
growled. "I love you too~" he blew a kiss to me. It wasn't that
bad, unless you counted the multiple scars on my arms, legs and
back.. and to top it all off, the hideous, long scar that ran
across my back.
Ellis slipped her hoodie and sandals off, and placed them on a
chair. She went back to the boys, and smiled again. "So, are you
guys ready to swim?" She asked, smiling. She noticed the scars, but
made no effort to ask. She knew his past, and she wouldn't question
it. She just hoped the two wouldn't question her own, with the
cutting scars visible on her tan arms.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"Yeah." They both said talking as they walked towards the
pool "Hey, Alain. Do you like Ellis?" he whispered to me. "What?
Why're you asking that now?" I asked curiously. "So you don't like
her? Does that mean your-" I cut him off "No. You idiot. I'm not."
I sighed. "So you don't want the D?" he asked. "No." I replied
quickly. "You know you want me~" Kain said seductively, just as a
joke. I had enough of his bs, since we were close to the pool I
shoved him in. He didn't surface, I hovered over the pool as he
dragged me in with him. Both of our heads came up to the surface
"Revenge!" Kain shouted.
"Guys, holy crap. You are such dorks." Ellis said, shaking her head
softly. She then dove into the clear water, making a small
splash. She resurfaced and bobbed at the top of the water,
smiling at the two and laughing over their antics, still. They are
so dorky, but eh. Who isn't sometimes? Okay, maybe not a few
people, but still!
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"Just wait til we get home Hugh." I said shoving him back
into the water. He resurfaced and splashed me in the face with the
pool water. My hair soaking wet, I let out a huge sigh. And
splashed him back of course. Then it turned into a war zone. Trying
to dunk each other and wrestling each other inside the
pool.
Ellis, who tried to break up the water war at first, decided to sit
on the edge of the pool. She swung her legs in the water, watching
this 'war'. She smiled every so often, and also winced when
something looked like it probably hurt. She watched the two fight
with water, smiling. God, sometimes they were so cute~.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
After a while they stopped, focusing their gaze on Ellis.
They bowed "Our marvelous show has come to an end." they said in
sync, grinning. The residents that came here often knew how crazy
they got in the pool, though made no attempt to stop Kain and
Alain's antics. But the Lifeguard on duty seemed to relax a bit
after they had stopped fighting and rolled her eyes.
Ellis fixed her posture, and clapped lightly. "Good show, jolly
good show!" She said with a thick British accent. She sat, there,
trying to look like an elegant British queen atop her throne.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"Why thank you, Mistress." We added bowing once more, not
even bothering with the British accent. "Okay, now that we got that
over with let's play Marco Polo." Kain said. "Wait." I said.
"Ellis, why aren't you getting in the water? Is it too cold?" I
asked, rather curious.
