"Owie! Owieeeeeeee!" Ellis cried out, falling off the chair. She
curled up, faking crying as she was actually giggling. She rolled
over, looking up at Kain with sad eyes.
"Cut that crap. I didn't hit you hard at all." Kain said
with a grin, Alain was smirking in the background "It's getting
late, we should pack up and go soon." he said. "Yeah, our Aunt is
going to give us a good lecture if we don't make it to dinner."
Kain muttered quietly.
"Okay..." Ellis said. She stood up and pulled her hoodie over her
swimsuit. She slipped on her flip-flops, and smiled at the two.
"You'd better get ready." She said, smirking lightly.
"We are ready." Alain replied, as the both slipped on their
shoes. "I'll go call Aunt Jackie." Kain whispered, grabbing his
phone and walking over to the pool exit. Alain picked up their bag,
"We'll probably be here for a bit longer, since my car is damaged
our Aunt is coming to pick us up." he told Ellis.
"OH, well okay. I'm gonna head home. I've gotta practice for the
play." Ellis said, waving before she went on her way. She was
walking to the dorms, smiling. She saw people catch a few sideways
glances at her, since she was pantless. She was nearing the dorms
when she ran into someone. "Sorry..." She stammered, to which they
said "What we're you're going, idiot." She frowned and flinched,
tears filling her eyes. He continued past her, and she continued,
hanging her head.
"Right. I'll see you later." Alain replied, walking towards
the exit where Kain was supposed to be waiting. "I'm back." he
announced. "Yeah, I noticed." Kain smirked. "Don't get smart with
me." Alain walked over to stand next to him. "What did she say?" he
asked. "She said she'll get her as soon as she can." Kain replied.
"Sweet, did you ask what dinner was?" Alain looked at his brother
"No." Kain muttered. "You should've." Alain gave his brother a
nuggie.
Ellis got to the dorm, and she changed into a baggy T-Shirt and
black leggings. She crawled into bed with her book. She opened it,
and turned one crisp page after another. She read, her hazel eyes
skimmed the ink laid on the paper. She would gasp and her eyes
would fill with tears at parts.
"Crap.. I think I left my sketchpad in the dorm room..."
Alain said. "Don't you have all those animal anatomy sketches in
there?" Kain asked, "Yeah.. I guess I'll pick it up tomorrow."
Alain sighed. "Right.." they both saw their Aunt's car minutes
after. The twosome hopped inside, and left the pool.
Ellis glanced over to Alain's bed, and noticed his sketch pad was
there. She almost texted him, but decided she'd do it the next day.
She continued to read, and nuzzled into her bed.
After a while of driving they came to a stop, they had
arrived back home. Opening their car doors the let themselves out,
their Aunt locking the car behind them. "Let's eat." The two boys
said in unison, walking into the house with their Aunt following
behind them.
"What's for dinner?" Kain asked, the twosome washing their hands
before sitting down at the dinner table. "We're having macaroni,
and chicken. With a side of broccoli." their Aunt replied. "I'll go
prepare the broccoli." Alain said, rushing off to the fridge. "I'll
go get the macaroni and chicken." Kain followed Alain.
