Allium smiled back, her intense gold eyes shimmering. Raven looked
ahead, surprised that Adeline wasn't speaking up. She was
surprisingly quiet, for she was usually social and all about
allying with people. She spared my life, anyways, he
thought, looking at her with concern. "What?" The hybrid mumbled,
looking at him with confusion. "Nothing," Raven sighed, looking
away. Is there something wrong with her?...
They all followed, picking up pace. I'm not used to this much of
a mix with joyousness and sincerity in a person, Allium
thought, although concluded that it was more of a good thing than a
bad thing.
adriane slowed down her pace as she pushed past a small layer of
vine's and disappeared on the other side.
''come on you three'' she said, moving the vine's aside for them.
adriane let the vine's go after they entered and walked towards the
house.
''this is my little safe haven, crystal hang's out here a lot when
she's in the mood'' she said.
[Whoa! Amazingly magical!]
Allium stared at the interior of the house for a bit, before
realizing that Crystal and the others were in the room with her.
Raven, not far from Adeline's side, looked over at Crystal with
nothing to say.
adriane had disappeared into the kitchen and was busy getting
something prepared to eat for everyone.
matthew was reading a book while sitting in a recliner in a corner
near a bookshelf.
crystal had her back to the other's that had entered and was
writing stuff down in a notebook.
''if you've fallen for me then don't bother, don't care for dark
and gloomy'' she said, rather bluntly towards raven.
Adeline simply chuckled at Crystal's remark, looking over at Raven.
His face was an emotionless slate; Adeline could safely assume he
either had no reply or didn't fully understand. Allium poked into
the kitchen curiously, offering to help with the cooking. Rogue
poked in, looking behind his shoulder for good measure.
crystal closed the notebook and sighed, picking it up and bopping
him on the head as she reached back.
''dude, stop staring, that ain't nice ya know'' she said, putting
her notebook down on the table beside her as she looked at him, her
eye's lighting up with the inner electricity inside her.
"Oh, sorry," Raven murmured, turning away to look around the room.
Adeline sighed, smiling helplessly and walking over to Raven. "Hey,
are you sure you don't--" he swiftly stopped her wrist from moving
further, a reaction from years of killing. Adeline rolled her eyes,
shaking her head. "Guess not, then. Say, Crystal, how long have you
been around here?"
''i'm sure adriane shared my backstory with you guys, so i don't
really feel like repeating if she did... but i've hung out around
adriane a good bit, i usually go out exploring for supplies for
here, this is a safe haven for me...'' crystal muttered.
"It must be nice," Adeline replied, bouncing on her toes a bit.
Raven looked over at Adeline questioningly. She never talks
about her past, and yet she's so happy all the time... not to
mention she's acting different. She's hiding something, he
thought, not saying anything to directly address it.
''it's nice.... lonely at time's aside from when adriane's here,
but still..... peaceful and safe..'' crystal muttered, turning to
where her back was to them and to hide her face with the help of
her hair, hiding the fact she had tear's swelling up in her eye's
and that her expression had grown full of sorrow. especially with how my life's been up to the day when i thought
i was going to die til she showed up... and with how other's view
some of us storm hybrid's.... she thought.
"Peaceful and safe is always one of my favorite options," Adeline
said cheerfully, noticing how Crystal was on the brink of crying
(she could tell by her voice and expression; Adeline had experience
with this). She did not know how to respond, and simply retreated
to Raven's side. He looked over at her, as if he were in deep
thought--analyzing, perhaps.
"It depends on the circumstances, but being with friends is always
better," Adeline murmured, softening at the brokenness in Crystal's
voice. Raven looked behind his shoulder, seeing a dark tendril
resting on his shoulder. It shed off dark aura, whispering softly
in an ancient dragon language. Aware that he was the only one that
could hear it, he stepped closer to Adeline and looked around the
room.
''matthew and adriane have been my only friend's.... but i'm
usually the only one here half the time....... so i have reason's
about how i act around other hybrid's.. you would never understand
what i've been through, no one ever will...'' she muttered,
gripping her own arm's rather tightly.
