Jake paused, looking between them. "You can talk to her? Oh! She can translate for him! Maybe! Hopefully..."
Well, he wants to...never mind. I'm not gonna get him in trouble or embarrass him. But he likes you. Do you like him? And can you tell him I would be happy to translate? she asked.

Jake smiled and thanked them. "So...Sam...would you like to stay at my house for the night? I have a spare bedroom."

Pumpkin went slow, her leg making her pause often. Once close enough, she called out to Phoenix, softly.
