I've read many posts on the official April fool's day thread, and I found that many people miss the 3d eevee. So, I'm making a petition to eventually bring back the 3d eevee. I miss the little guy.

I can understand that people want that Eevee back. But let's be serious, they were kind of a pain in the eye after while. Again, you can keep the image of the Eevee that I posted in the news thread.

Yeah, but it's something to fight for. And I'm trying to be serious! Seriously, no one takes me seriously. They're so busy being serious that they can't even see I'm seriously being serious.
Uh, what I'm trying to say is, maybe people should stop being serious and loosen up.
Oh, and thanks! I wasn't sure who made the eevee, so I didn't know to ask.

The Eevee were a joke. They were not meant to stay. If they came back that would defeat the purpose of this whole thing.

I agree with Mirej and Karp. Those things really hurt my eyes and I wouldn't be surprised if they gave people seizures.

EDIT: I hope you also realize that Pokeheroes could be sued if something happens to someone because of the sprites made by the staff here. That's enough of a reason not to bring them back.

Well, if someone has very serious problems with 3D things, they shouldn't even be on a computer. So I don't think that's a problem.

It's not 3D that's the problem, it's the way the Eevee was made (which actually isn't 3D, I believe I've read)

And that's not a good way to look at things, Karp. :/ Should we tell blind people to not cross the street, too, rather than try to make it possible for them to do so?

Riako explained (once the joke was out in the open) that the '3D' images were just three layers. The normal sprite with a blue layer and a red layer behind it, meaning not actual 3D.

Besides that, I don't support. Those fake 3D images obviously were a bad experience for several users, so having to be careful while interacting is not something I'd wish for them, it should be fun for everyone. The 3D would be a luxury, interacting without having to watch out for those images would not.

No support. Personally, I did like the '3Dvee', but I like the new event better. Also, if they did bring back 3Dvee, some people might want the new event (Derpatung, I believe?) back, thus resulting in a 3Dvee vs Derpatung battle for eternity. Okay, that might not happen, but what if someone wanted both events? What if someone liked the new event, like I do, and didn't want the 3Dvee? Plus, the Derpatung replacement was part of the joke. And why would anyone want blurry eevees, since the 3D effect won't be implemented atm, in the first place? And another thing; the 3Dvee is also probably worth...not much, since lots of people have it. And I agree with the points that the others brought up. So, I don't see much reason to keep it.

@everyone no support, I specificly stated that this was a PETITION and not a support/no support thing. So please, just, stop.
@Diana, maybe the sprites could be edited so they won't hurt anyone? Plus, I don't think they can.
@The Jewish Blobfish, we don't have to get rid of derpitung, in fact, I don't really hate derpitung. All I, and several other people, are asking for is to have our eevee's back. It doesn't matter what they're worth to us; we liked them a lot. Does there need to be a reason to keep it besides the fact we love it?
I'll make the fact that this is a PETITION more clear in the first post.

I agree with Autumn. You can't tell people not to voice their opinions simply because they disagree with you; if the only reason nobody said they didn't like it is because you forced them not to, and then Riako approved it only because nobody said they didn't like it... That's not fair at all.
There IS nowhere to post a petition for that very reason.

I don't support. Giving the Eevee and taking them away was a huge part of the thing. Giving them back would mess it up completely.
Adding to that, they DID hurt a lot of people's eyes. The only way you could "edit" them to make them better would be by using the original sprite... so basically, you get a perfectly ordinary Eevee.

I'll make eevee sprites in ways that they don't hurt the eye. It's kinda about the symbolizm of having them back. As for ruining the thing, that's what you think, isn't it? I don't think so at all. It was just kind of a shock to me.

The entire joke revolved around the fact that EVERYTHING that was 3D wasn't real. If the main point of the prank was that the Eevee wasn't real... Why would we get the Eevee back? I just don't understand...
Edit: Regardless, the Eevee was DELETED in exchange for the Derpatongue. I highly doubt it's even POSSIBLE for Riako to give you the same one that you exchanged.

Actually the Eevee was not deleted to give you the Derpatung. The Eevee was CONVERTED into the Derpatung. (Interactions carried over, same name, Same obtained time, same nature [it seems] same everything except species and was reverted to an egg).


If you take a petition to see how many people want it back, then there should be a tally of how many people don't want it back for various reasons.

I don't want to see that "eyesore" back because after a while it does hurt one's eyes. And if that's the first event someone sees for the site, I doubt they'd be willing to join because it looks lazy and messy, and most people wouldn't put their time towards a site like that (from what I've seen).

It was a neat event, I give you that. It looked cool until it started to burn. I give you that as well. But what is more important? An event, or the health of the users? (Viewing 3d images without 3d glasses can cause damage to the eyes. Even fake 3d images uses the same colors and tries to make the eyes focus on something it can't bring into focus which is bad for it. [some statistic I remember reading when I was younger. If this has been disproved by now, then please ignore])


All in all, it's not WORTH it to bring it back unless they were to make a completely new sprite and fight with making it actually 3d. (And I'd like to note that it's very very very hard to actually do with sprites.)

Oh. I didn't know that. ^^" Still, even if it's possible, I still don't see how you could POSSIBLY bring it back with a new sprite that has the same effect, but doesn't hurt eyes, and isn't just a perfectly ordinary Eevee.
