Ellis sat down on a musty couch, sighing in bliss. She snuggled
into the coushins, and fell asleep, curled up in a small ball of
tangled arms and legs.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
Elliot came back, with a can of fruit in his hands. Smiling when he
saw Ellis' sleeping form, Elliot smiled, setting the can softly on
the table, placing a fork on top. "Sleep tight. I'll be right
back." Elliot whispered, writing a quite not for her, before
standing up and walking out, shutting the door softly behind him.
She was in a empty house. A shadowy figure came in, hood hiding
his face. He pulled it off to reveal a scarred, burnt face. She
yelped in surprise as he pulled a knife out of his pocket. He
walked towards her, raising the knife. She tried to run, but she
was frozen. He brought it down over her heart, and she let out a
scream.
She awoke, sweating and screaming. She calmed down, pulling her
knees to her chest, and rocking back and forth, mumbling to
herself. She noticed the can of fruit, and fork, but felt to
nauseous to eat. She picked up the note, reading it.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
I had to go out to get some supplies, so I probably won't be here
when you read this. I've also decided to go visit my friend alone.
I'd be better if she didn't kill you on the spot. If you need
anything, just hang tight, I'll be back in a jiffy.
Ellis winced at the part about killing her on spot. 'Dang, I
really need someone here right now... And being alone in a house
doesn't help my nightmares...' She thought, grabbing and
hugging a pillow for comfort. Sleepiness begged her to sleep, but
anxiety battled it, leaving her restless. She decided to eat the
fruit, and downed it. She set down the empty can, and saw the pen
Elliot had used to write the note. She grabbed it, flipping the
note over. She wrote:
'Elliot-
Went for a walk to clear head.
I'll be back in 30 minutes or so.
Don't get mad though.
~Love, Ellis'
She felt weird writing "Love" but did it anyway. She stood, walking
outside and remembering where the house was, before heading off,
east.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
Seria thought about what was happening in the area about Lucifer
and rolled off the couch. Seria walked up to a box of unpacked
books, magazines, and manga and grabbed a thick hardcover book that
was called A Nightmare of a Dream. She mainly remembered it
because of all the deaths in it and what happens in the afterlife,
and how the spirits got back and became ghosts. It was about this
girl who had to talk in front of her classmates, because it was her
graduation but died on the way there in a car crash. She went to
one of the three areas where it was semi-peaceful and just enough
trouble for at least one person to settle it down. There were other
areas where it was too peaceful and one chaotic. The girl finds out
soon after her arrival that one of her classmates was a spirit that
escaped the afterlife without permission.
Seria smiled soon after she picked up the book for she saw an old
manga that she read with her younger brother. Memories.. she
thought as she went back on the couch and started to read A
Nightmare of a Dream.
Aurora looks at her ceiling that's covered in black swirls. I'm
a freak, that's all iam she blinks her eyes getting rid of her
flashbacks from her childhood.
Seria smiled as she flipped to her favorite chapter of the book.
The chapter was mainly based on the main character going back in
time to when she found out that her blood parents had died while
she was playing.
a few minutes later, Elliot came back, yawning. "Ellis? I'm back."
He called out, his voice echoing around the empty house. Walking
around, Elliot spotted the note, reading it. Smiling, when he read
the last few lines, Elliot sighed. "Silly girl, I wouldn't get mad.
But it is interesting how you added 'love' before your name
though."
Ellis came back to the home, entering. She saw Elliot reading the
letter, and smiled at him. "Hey Elliot~." She said slyly, creeping
up behind him and gripping onto his shoulders, as she tried to
scare him.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
Ellis fell on the floor, giggling like she had gotten a dose of
laughing gas. "Hahaha! You're face was priceless!!" She said, tears
of joy rolling down her cheeks, dripping onto the floor.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
Aurora sets her guitar down and switches her music. She stands
outside breathing in the cold air. time for a little
training She begins running through the streets to reach her
target place.
Ellis sighed, wiping away her tears. She smiled at him, mischief
glistening in her eyes. "I know." She said, smiling like she had
just won the Noble Peace Prize.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
Seria closed the book, rejuvenated by the good memories of her
childhood. Seria put the book back in the box and went outside to
get some fresh air. She didn't bring a weapon because Seria was
closer to home than where she usually goes.
"Yes I'm well rested." Ellis nodded, but was puzzled by the second
question. "What do you mean by that?" She asked, tilting her head
in confusion, as she did when she was a fox.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
"Well, everybody has a reason for being here. For me, I live
here
For some others, its finding something or someone. So I was
wondering what you're reason is, being here." Elliot shrugged, and
he couldn't help but think how cute Ellis looked, cocking her head
like that.
