Melez looked up at Jin's face as he carried her staring at the gash. I'll ask if I can stitch that for him... She thought to herself as he set her down. She nodded before he left and began scrubbing at her arm in the warmish water beside the tub. Once done with that she stood and looked in the bathroom mirror only to find that she had speckles of crimson on her cheeks and nose and that one of her amber eyes had grown darker than the other. She blinked a few times before shaking her head and washing her face in the warm water. She sat back down on the stool her head in her hands. "What have I done..." She asked herself quietly before looking up and realizing that Jin was standing there and she noticed his hands bandaged. "What happened to your hands?" She asked as she got up and walked over to him gently taking his hand and lifting it slightly her touch feather light. "And your face..." She turned her eyes upwards and touched her own cheek where his wound would be. "If you'd allow, might I stitch that for you? Stitching one's own face can be difficult..."

Jin shook his head carefully taking his hands back putting them at his sides. "My hands are fine. My wrists are... sore." He smiled before moving to the sink and examining the wound his face still bloodied and his hair now sticking to his head in red black crusty strands. He reached for the wash rag and winced at the slight weight. "Ok they are broken... do you mind...."He stopped looking back at Melez and sighed resigning himself knowing he had no choice.
"Do you mind helping me clean up a bit? The wound on my face is the only one they got on me but with my wrists broken." He looked into her eyes barely registering the slightly darkened color of one of her eyes passing it off as a trick of the light. "I just don't want it to get infected... I mean I removed three beings this day and two were demons." He sat on the little stool looking slightly defeated but still the happy go lucky guy as usual. "If you don't mind."
He looked down at his floor. Should he make mention of that, thing? What did she do to have done that? Was that just part of her being a demon? She hadn't seemed normal. "Ah... about earlier...." Were you that crazy demonic monster? "None of it happened ok? I cleaned everything up so. .. there won't be any questions but..." He shrugged. No not yet.

Melez nodded and winced slightly upon hearing that his wrists are broken. Once Jin sat down she gently began moving the stray strands of hair out of her way and inspected the wound. "You know, my mother taught me a healing spell if you'd be willing to let me try..." You know that spell will make you really exhausted and perhaps even render you unconscious right? Yeah, I know. I don't care. He's injured and I can fix it all in a matter of minutes. But why would you do that if you're gonna feel a bit of pain for one, and be knocked out for two! Because I'm his friend. Friends look out for one another. That's what they do. Now let me alone so I can work. Fine, fine...

"Absolutely not. It won't do me or you any favors." He lifted his hand smiles at her. "No let's just clean and stitch it. Besides scars are pretty hot if they look good. Though I'm hard to scar. It'll heal fine if we do a good job." He yawned a bit before reaching for the rag and bucket dragging it over with his leg not spilling any making it seem as though he had been in this situation before.
He pointed towards a small shelf on the wall beside the bath tub. "I keep a small first aid kit with suture stuff on the shelf. Oh and promise no magic ok? Please?"

Melez sighed and did as she was told grabbing the first aid kit from the shelf and setting it on the sink and she opened it going through and finding what she'd need. "Those wrists are broken, they're gonna take a while to heal on their own... I'd leave your face alone if you prefer, but I'd really appreciate if you'd let me fix your hands... We don't know when ADAM is coming back and without the use of your hands that would make things rather difficult..." She said as she pulled a needle and thread from the kit.

Jin smiled. She was worried about him. "Yes I know but I've taken precautions. I've my own little spell on it. I'll heal when I'm sleeping. Until then I should be fine. I've fought with my hands completely broken before." Jin looked into her eyes a small crease forming as he noticed her eye darker again. It wasn't a light thing? We're they always like that? Its not super noticeable.
Jin waited and sat patiently while she cleaned and stitched his face. His arms held across his chest in a relaxed manner. "They really wanted to get at you. At least we got rid of them. We're your eyes always like that?"

As Melez worked on Jin's face, her hands moving quickly, but methodically and efficiently cleaning and sewing his cut. "Why did they want me to go with them so badly if they were simply going to let me leave? Unless that was a lie, which I'm assuming it was..." She spoke as she washed her hands. "M-my eyes? Just a side effect from the spell, no biggie..." She turned and smiled. No biggie? Funny. Sharing your mind with someone else is no biggie? Well, I'd hate to see what you call a biggie... Oh be quiet... Excuse me? That was rude. Why should I be quiet? I have as much of a right as you do to think don't I? You gave me permission to use your head so I am. So excuse me if I talk. I didn't mean to be rude, but not being able to think on my own without your comments is a bit, well, annoying... Annoying!? The nerve of some people...

Melez seemed busy thinking as she washed her hands. Jins face was feeling worse with every passing moment now that the adrenaline was wearing off. He stood up and stretched being careful with his hands. After a couple more moments he left the bathroom going for the kitchen. He still wasn't clean but he felt a lot better now that his face was at least.
He cut a couple pieces of bread off the loaf not moving his wrists. It took him a couple of tries but when he finally finished he took his bread to the table and began to eat them. They probably wanted to try and convince her to go... since once she is there, she would be stuck. He waited for Melez to come out. "I suggest that you steer clear of doing that. ... um... spell from earlier the big... demonic... one. What was that?"

Once Melez finished washing her hands she walked out into the kitchen and began washing the dishes in the sink. "I'll try to not do that one again. It wasn't technically a spell... I was simply summoning various demons to gain their power in exchange for control of parts of my body." She shrugs as though it was nothing. Control? I wish... I simply get to reside in your mind for, how long did we agree on? Never mind, I'll leave soon enough... Could I have one thought to myself perhaps? Nope. My gods...

Jin looked at Melez watching her do the dishes. "Do you like do that out of habit?" He sat down leaning over the weapons on the table and beside the sink. Promptly pulling out a cleaning kit setting about to make them all battle worthy once more. Starting with his ruby red blade.
"I mean the dishes can wait you know? They are not that important." He was bent over a small angelic blade. Runes glittering in the soft way the golden symbols did. Most of the weapons were clean but a few needed a lot of care.

Melez glanced over to Jin then focused back on what her hands were doing. "I like to be moving or doing something... Besides, i'd feel weird if I wasn't doing something to pull my weight here. This is how I'm paying my keep since you won't accept my money." She chuckles. That's the only reason you're doing the dishes? Okay, okay, so I have a thing with dirty dishes... Everyone has something... Alright, that's true... Now please, let me have a minute to think on my own... Fine...

After cleaning all of the weapons and sorting the ones on the table, he got up and grabbed the ones besides the sink taking them over to the table beginning the process over again. "Yes but it's not like you can't have a little bit of dishes in the- Oh Shi-" Jin jumped up grabbing the watering can and running off to fill it and water the plants. After a few moments he was back in the kitchen setting the can back where it had been. "That could've been bad. Hey um... what were you thinking for lunch?"

Melez finished with the dishes as Jin returned to the kitchen. She grabbed the little towel and leant her back against the sink drying her hands. "I was wondering if I could treat you to a meal out? I know that ADAM is after me, but I doubt that they'd risk attacking in public..." She sighed, beginning to hate stopping here, almost hating that she survived Avin's attack in the first place.

Jin looked down the hall then back at Melez. "That sounds like a blast." Jin walked away till he was standing besides the door. "Let me wash up first I'll be out in a bit." With that he went off towards the bathroom.
It wasn't long before he came back out in a fresh pair of clothes and drying his hair with the blue towel. Once he was satisfied he draped the towel over the back of one of the kitchen chairs. Afteer which he tied his hair up with the leather cord. A little pin shining in the light. Afterwards he put on his silver jacket and his sword tied to his waist. Along with a few others hidden by the jacket. "I'm ready when you are. "Jin smiled leaning against the wall.

Melez nodded as Jin said he'd get himself cleaned up and once he was out of sight she straightened her shirt out and put on her trenchcoat and straightened the creases. She tucked her whip and her daggers inside her jacket, putting the daggers in small built-in sheaths on the wall of her coat. She smiled when he walked out and leant against the wall waiting. "I'm ready as well. Please let me treat you to this okay? I'll pay for it." She chuckled as she left through the front door holding it for him.

Jin stepped out his face up towards the sky. Once he was clear of the house he turned and locked up. "Thanks." Jin smiled patting her head before heading towards town. The sun was high in the air. People were milling about mostly human. There was a few demons as well as they grabbed groceries or bartered for something or another.
"Did you have any place in mind?"

Melez smiled as Jin patted her head, when he did that she felt as though she was at home. her father would do that to her as he passed by. She walked alongside him, the bottom of her coat flowing in the slight breeze. "I saw this little café a few blocks down from where I went shopping... It looked nice and smelled really good." She took a deep breath already getting a slight smell of hashbrowns.

"Morningside?" Jin had been down this road so many times he knew where she was talking about. It was a lovely little place. The people were nice and the prices weren't to expensive. They didn't discriminate either. Though most people around the town knew Jin as a human anyway. "Yeah that's a nice place."

"Yeah! That's the name. I couldn't remember what it was called..." Melez scratches the back of her head with her good arm. "Perhaps when we return you could help me change the bandages on my shoulder? After a few days I should be good to head off on my own... I might even get off the radar of ADAM if I went into hiding..." She began muttering to herself.

Jin nodded as they made it to Morningside and held the door open for her. There was soft m
usic playing on a beat up old record player. There were a few couples eating at mismatched tables. The lighting was bright and just made you want to smile. "Yeah I'll change them. I'll also teach you some things about ADAM that can help you out."
A older looking lady came over and brought them to one of the tables winking at Jin as she set down menus. "What can I get ya sugar?" Her voice was definitely southern and kind. Jin just smiled handing back the menu.
"Usual for me." He said as the woman looked towards Melez.
"Just call me over when you're ready dear."
