Jin smiled before reaching across the table his arm making an angle his hand held out to her. "We will stay together until at least ADAM is dealt with. Deal?" He smiled no hint of apprehension in his features. He was ready to lay down his future for this girl. He wasn't a hundred percent sure why but like he said.... Life was going to get interesting.
Now is not the time for frivolity. He looked back to Melez. A slight look of concern coming over him as she looked deep in thought. I hope she is feeling alright. I hope she isn't to worried. "We should finish and get back home. We don't want to be out when the sun goes down."
He pulled out some money from his pocket laying it on the table before grabbing the drink and holding it up. "Here is to a friendship I hope that lasts."
Melez looked down to her hand and then to the waitress, shooting daggers with her eyes as she watched the female attempt to get the attention of Jin. That's not cool... At all... After she left, Melez picked up her cup and raised it, matching Jin's actions. "Here here." She said with a smile, beginning to wonder if his treatment of her was more than just company, and was beginning to wonder if she was beginning to enjoy being around him, not just for protection. She gently tapped her mug against Jin's before bringing the rim to her lips and taking a few sips. "Ah... Good ale is a blessing." She chuckled as the cool liquid went down her throat leaving just a slight tingle in its wake. "And yes, we shouldn't tarry here so we can make it back home before the sun sets." She said with perhaps a slight sorrow to her tone.
Jin smiled and slammed his drink quickly closing his eyes against the burn. He was enjoying hanging out with this half demon half angel. Life hadn't been so interesting since ha had settled down here.
He opened his eyes a large grin on his face as he stood and set his glass down. Bending over he carefully grabbed the couple bags of groceries and started out of the bar. "I'm thinking we can pack up tomorrow? It won't take to long... I have a few more surprises." He sauntered out his back straight a big smile on his face as he thought about what she might say.
It wasn't long before they were back at the house and he had put the groceries away. Sitting on the chair in the kitchen Jin stretched out his long legs and closed his eyes. "You know I don't think anything can stand up to us... we really make a good team."
Melez set her glass down after she had finished her drink, and grabbed the rest of the bags and followed Jin out. "Packing up tomorrow sounds okay. But how will you take all of your plants with you?" She tilted her head. Surprises? Perhaps a spelled bag that can carry everything? She set the bags down and assisted with the groceries after she had shut the door. When Jin sat down, she sat opposite him. "Nothing? Heh... Perhaps nothing around here..." Her mind went back to an old book she had found which contained descriptions of a few terribly powerful demons and even angels that do whatever they want. "But yes, we do make a good team." She smiles, her amber eyes sparkling in the setting suns light.
He looked into her eyes and smiled. After a moment he looked at his hands and started to unwrap his wrappings. His wrist healed up nicely now. He folded the bandages up taking them to his kit. "I guess we should get a nap in tomorrow is another day.
Jin finished in the other after splashing water on his face. He used the small blue towel to dry his face. Was he to much of an eat freak? Stubbing his toe on a pile of books answered that question. He picked up the few books that had fallen and stacked them back up in the haphazard pile they were in before.
He didn't want to go back out and see her just yet. He had a bit of work to do to get the house mobile. Starting by spelling anything loose into place. It was a general spell and didn't take much to do. Once everything in the rooms that he cared about would remain still I'm transport, he went to the kitchen to find Melez there cooking. "It smells good. What is it?"
Melez ladled out some soup into two bowls setting them on the table with two spoons. "It's a beef broth soup with a few veggies cut up in it and some various spices." She smiled motioning to his chair. It does smell delicious though... Thanks for the compliment. I only wish I was there to have some... Who knows. Perhaps one day I might cook for you. That'd be great! That was a maybe.
Jin took a seat. Sitting sideways to stretch out his legs. It smelled wonderful. Though Melezs food always smelled wonderful. Much better then anything he could come up with. "Thank you very much." He took a spoonful and blew on it to cool it a bit before eating. "If it weren't for you I would probably starve." It was a joke. He had lived this long without starving. "So I was thinking at dawn we should head out. Did you want to prepare some meals for the journey or just go with it?"
Melez giggled as Jin spoke. "You'd make yourself food. I doubt that you've survived without me for this long." She smirked before her face grew serious. "Yes, dawn should work fine. Hmm... I think that eating what we find would be better. That way we have less to carry." She tilted her head and took a few spoonfuls of soup and smiled as she remembered it exactly as her mother had made it for her.
