Melez bowed her head as she entered and waited to the side for him to come in. She kept her face in a slight soft smile as they were set at a table, she noted the woman getting them seated winking at Jin. Does she think that I'm his girl? Of course. Don't try to play blind. I'm not playing anything... Please, just let me eat in peace. Okay. I know when I'm not wanted. She nodded to the old woman. "Actually, just an egg, scrambled and some homefries please and thank you." She said setting the menu to the side.

The woman nodded scribbling on the paper. "Did you want anything to drink? We've got juice, coffee, or...other? Depending on your taste. The drinks are on the back of the page."
Jin shook his head. "You know I want coffee so might just bring over two cups and we will see what she wants in a bit." The woman nodded walking away pulling off the paper and hanging it so the cook could see it. Jin looked at Melez his signature smile still on his face. "They have the best hash browns I have ever had. Hope you enjoy it."

Melez watched the woman walk away before she turned to Jin with a smile still resting on her features. "I could smell them, so I know I'll like them a lot." She chuckled. "I've drank a little bit of coffee before, is theirs good?" If they had tea I'd be all over it, but I don't feel like tea at the moment... Probably grab some herbs on the way back to the house... I saw some mint on the edge of the path so I'll get some leaves and let them dry....

"The coffee is always great. The sweet tea too. Though that's like seriously sweet." Jin chuckled messing with the bowl of creamers. The sound of sizzling food could be heard throughout the cafe just making the wait better as the smells filled the space. After a little while the waitress returned with the food.
"Alright hun I got scrambled and hash." She set down the plate in front of Melez followed by a mug and a coffee pot. Then she set down two plates in front of Jin. On one was a good sized portion of hash browns and three cooked eggs and on the second was a small pile of flap jacks drizzled in syrup and whip cream with a few strawberries. Jin grabbed the woman's hand kissing the back of it. "You are a saint." Jin winked playfully as the woman giggled and left before starting in on the hash browns. "Hope you like it Melez."

Melez nodded, her mind and nose filled with the enticing smells that wafted out from the kitchen. A large smile spread across her lips as the woman returned setting the food down. She looked up to the woman bowing her head and saying her thanks quietly. Glancing over to Jin's food before looking down to hers made her wonder if when she made meals that she didn't make enough to fill her host. She picked up her fork and stabbed one of the small pieces of potato and eating it, savoring the flavor. "Oh my..." She chuckled. "I haven't had hashbrowns this good since my mother made breakfast the day I left." She went back to consuming her meal quite content, but the question still plagued her.

Jin ate quietly and quite methodically. Switching between eggs and hash browns, then a drink, then after finishing going for the pancakes. "You can't get food like this just anywhere." After sitting in comfortable silence for a bit as they finished the food. "Did we need to do anything else while we are out?" Jin reached into his pocket pulling out a small rag and wiping his face before raising both his eyebrows.
Jin looked down before setting the ragged handkerchief down. He reached up and scratched his chin furrowing his brow as he felt the soft, just starting, stubble. "Hmph."

Melez eats her eggs then the hash browns, finishing with the rest of her coffee. "Oh that was amazing..." She gently scooted her chair back silently using a napkin on her lips. "I don't think I needed anything, oh wait, a couple of things for dinner though." She leans forwards a little bit to reach into one of the pockets on the inside of her trenchcoat. "How does steak and corn sound?"

Jin smiled tucking his handkerchief back in his pocket before stacking all the plates as the waitress cane back over and took them. "If you're making steak you must have potatoes. I make pretty good chive and onion potatoes." Jin leaned back in his seat sipping the rest of his coffee before looking at the ceiling. "We shouldn't stay out to long. Those shadows are still around though."

"Then I'll make the steak and you can make the potatoes." Melez chuckles. "But yes, keeping our time out here brief would be a very wise idea." She watches the waitress leave then she pulls out a few bills, a twenty and a ten setting them on the table. "I think that would be enough for a lunch and a decent tip don't you think?" She looks up to Jin, her face calm.

Jin nodded and waived to the waitress before standing up. He took one last drink from his cup before pushing his chair back in and heading for the door. Holding it open he watched Melez for a moment before leading them into the shopping district. "Alright that sounds like a plan. I'll buy what we need." He stretched his hand out carefully testing how they were healing. "You should carry it though. I'm not a hundred percent just yet

Melez stood and moved her chair in as Jin had done before following him out the door and through the town. "Alright, I think I can do that." She looked over to his wrists. "You sure you don't want me to heal them? I'd just need a little time to get the right spell ready..." You're really asking for him to get mad at you... You know what? Actually, yeah. We share this mind, so whatever you think, I think. So stop trying to be intelligent. Wow... That was rude... I can be rude, but you started it. AND I'LL FINISH IT!! Sheesh... I can take a hint... Being quiet now...

Jin looked over to Melez and shook his head. "No I don't need you to heal me." Jin put his arms up and folded them behind his head. He seemed relaxed and if you didn't know better he would seem just like a human.
If it weren't for his angelic like blond hair and stunningly gorgeous emerald eyes.(hah) He yawned slightly. He stopped at a small store and bought the food for dinner and a basket to put it all in. "Maybe we should get some drinks while we're out?"

Nodding, Melez sighed. She wanted to help him, but didn't want to anger him. "Drinks? Like from the place we first saw each other or softer drinks?" Okay, now it just seems like you're playing dumb. I'm being serious, I don't know exactly what he's referring to and would like clarification so I know what's going on! Geez, calm down... Was just making a comment... Well I regret letting you have this space... How soon did we agree on you leaving? You know, I've forgotten... How about until I need to go huh? Please? Ugh... How long do you think that will be? ... Zach? You there? Yup. Did you think I'd leave that quickly? I could only hope...

Jin smiled putting an arm around her shoulders pulling her towards the bar they had met at. "We beat off bad guys today. I think we deserve a little bit of celebration." The sun still hung high in the air. Demons and humans milled about oblivious to the two of them.
The packed earth if the road was nearly smooth from use. Though rocks littered the ground kicked up by an unsuspecting person or cart. The bar in the bright light of day looked even more dingy and broken.
Jin looked down at Melez putting his free arm up to point to the bar. "Unless you don't feel like it. I know it's kinda run down but you can't beat the whiskey. The drinks are always the coldest in town too." He winked playfully before looking up and watching a pair of succubus demons disappearing into the dark confines of the bar.

Melez winced only a little bit as weight was put on her injured shoulder but it flowed through her mind as she focused on the place where they had met. She chuckles as she sees a couple of demons knock their heads together in a brotherly fashion through the window. "I could use a little of their cold ale I suppose. Haven't tried their whisky though, not into to many hard drinks. Though I can appreciate fine and hard drinks." You know I was thinking that may No. Be quiet. This is going to be my time. I don't need you shoving your thoughts into what I'm doing all the time. Okay okay, was just going to say that I think you li- Stop right there. But... No. Just stop. "What is your preference of their whiskies?" She asked as she walked over to the door and held it open.

Jin walked in and was promptly punched in the gut. He took a step back to regain his balance looking down at the human who had done it. Jin reached for the guy and tossed him out the door onto his behind. Leaving the man stunned he straightened his shirt before walking towards the table in the corner.
He leaned back in his rickety old chair and rubbed the sore spot on his stomach waiting for Melez to join him. "People. So rude sometimes." He closed his eyes. "As for whiskey... it's all pretty much the same. A good burn and just a little sweet."

Melez smiled slightly but gasped and her jaw dropped as she watched someone walk over and straight up punch Jin in the stomach for no reason. She stood there in the doorway staring at Jin as he walked in before shaking her head and following him inside, taking the seat across from him. Yes, yes, people are mean and rude. Shush. Fine. Thank you. She let her smile return slightly as she took a deep breath of the dusty and musk filled room. "I'll try some, though their ale is quite nice, cool and tangy. Like a fresh crisp apple." She let her amber eyes shut as she remembered the delicious liquid from the first visit to the tavern.

Jin smiled and waived over one of the waitresses. Sitting up slightly he told them what they would have and watched her go before looking back to Melez. "All the drinks are cold." He said playfully before leaning back in his seat. "Anyway. We should talk about what we're going to do now. I'm sure your shoulder is mostly healed." He stared up at the ceiling absently rubbing the spot on his stomach.
He let his smile fade and started to look a bit more serious. "I know they aren't going to give up so easily and now that we beat that group from before.." He paused and.moved his green eyes down to Melezs amber ones. "Will you be leaving?"

Melez smiled as she sat silently watching a cute demon and what looked like a human couple talk over a pair of drinks before she turned her attention back to Jin. She let out a short chuckle as he made a short joke about the drinks' temperature, but her smile faded just as his did. She let her head lower and her eyes fell to the table and her hands clasped in front of her resting on the old and slightly dusty wood. "If I leave then they'll likely leave you alone, and I've gotten good at hiding, covering my tracks and so on..." She sighs and looks over to the door. "It might be for the best, especially since my shoulder is better." She cracked her neck and moved her shoulder about with little to no pain.

Jin Sat up and clasped his hands in front of himself like Melez had done. Looking down at the long and slender fingers criss crossed broken by the signet ring on his pinky, and the white bandages. Then he closed his eyes as the female who he'd ordered from set the drinks on the table before sauntering off. Over exaggerating her walk to no avail.
"ADAM doesn't bother me. Its you. I've grown fond of you over the past week and I would hate myself if I let you get hurt." He shook his head carefully taking the drink and taking a sip before sighing. "Plus I know tricks to help you out. Though we probably should move out of town. It would be to hard to pull that plan off a second time. It almost didn't work at all." He sighed again before downing his drink. "What do you think of sticking together a while longer." With that he opened his eyes to look at her once again.
