Melez took the daggers and moved them around in her hands to get a feel for their weight and balance points. She smiled as she found her place to hold them just right. She looked up to Jin and watched him remove his harness and shirt a slightly confused expression replacing her smile. She raised an eyebrow as he let his wings out. See you in the sky... WE'RE GOING TO TRAIN IN THE AIR?! Her stomach dropped as a cool rush of adrenaline filled her system. We're going to train in the air... Well, let's just hope I remember my mother's training... She took a deep breath before letting her dark mahogany wings out, stretching them out to either side of her at least a foot past her arm width, meaning that her wingspan was a little over six feet. She flapped them gently a couple times just to warm up a little before jumping and flapping them once, hard. She flapped them several more times and was soon up as high as Jin was. She was worried about how he'd react to their color.

Jin was looking down at Melez waiting for her to join him as he hovered about thirty feet in the air. Then he saw her wings. A rich mahogany color. He stared for a moment before clearing his head and watching her fly up to where he was. His wing span was about ten feet from tip to tip. "Have you fought in the air before?" Jin held his daggers like a pro and he was completely relaxed.

Melez nodded. "My mother taught me a bit, but that was mostly evasion techniques... I did try to combine my father's fighting with my mother's flying though..." She said as she adjusted her grip on the daggers so one was pointing forwards and the other was backwards against her arm. She didn't look relaxed, but she did look ready for almost anything. "My mother had very large wings, not quite as big as yours, but pretty close..."

"Oh that's cool." He brought his arms in close and held his daggers against his arms similar to how Melez was holding the one. His arms were crossed in front of him. "Alright well let's get going." He dropped falling towards the ground before flapping and ascending quickly. As he ascended he tries to strike Melez.

Melez watched him as he dropped and she flapped her wings in a special way so that she did a backwards flip aiming to basically roundhouse kick Jin as he comes up at her. I just hope we don't actually hurt each other... She worried to herself quietly.

He saw her kick coming and turned to make his right wing come up behind her legs. He kept going until he swooped back around coming in range. Reel back, don't hurt her. He swung out quickly with his dagger going for her left arm with his right.

Melez watched his maneuver and anticipated his attack with his right arm, so she pivoted to catch his wrist and fling him past her. Her mind was racing with various flying tactics her mother had taught her and fighting techniques her father had taught her. Her heart was racing twice as fast.

Having Been flipped behind her he flapped his wings twice not missing a single opportunity. He gathered speed and attacked Melez from behind. He was fast as he again got very close this time grabbing the top of the wing joints pulling her wings together. Carefully so as not to hurt her but try to keep her unable to fly.

Melez gasped and screamed a bit as she fell a couple feet, being held up by her wings as she was unable to make use of them for flying. She wrenched her body around and strained her wings as much as she could muster. A single red feather fell out of her wing and floated down in a spiral to the ground. She hadn't even noticed the feather fall as she was focused on struggling.

"Oh stop struggling the battle is over." Jin chuckled and set about flying down to the ground easily holding her weight. When they were a few feet above the ground Jin let her go slowly before falling the rest of the way putting his wings away. He fell to his knees breathing heavily. "That spell took to much out of me. That and the battle."

Melez sighed and crossed her arms as she hung from her wings until she dropped the last couple feet and landed firmly. She looked over to him watching with intent before moving over to his side as he fell to his knees. "I'm guessing you don't cast many spells then?" She put one of her wings around him and her good arm around his back, putting his arm over her shoulders, wincing as it put weight on her injury. She stood up with him grunting a little as she helped him up. "Let's get you back inside and some water in your system..."

Jin struggled a bit trying to take most of his weight. "I don't usually need too. With my being mostly human though I don't have the strength in magic. I'm more sword strong. Battle strong. With good memory and a knack for growing things."

Melez nodded as she brought him inside and set him in a chair while she got a cup and filled it with clear cool water and handed it to him. Her wings were tucked closely to her back and slightly folded, like a hawk would do when it's resting. Just before the tips of her wings were small almost a golden shade of red bands on her feathers. "Where did you learn that maneuver? It takes away the ability to fly..."

Jin took the cup and sipped at the contents. "My father. He would do it to me when I was flying past curfew. Then he would fly me home and I would usually end up grounded." Jin smiled feeling a lot better now that he had rested a little bit. "So I could teach it to you? If you wanted. The hardest part is getting them both together." He drank a little more before setting the cup down.
He thought about the first time his father had caught and carried him home. He was surprised and he couldn't move. His father had been furious. It was well after midnight and he was flying around with a couple of the village boys. They were doing tricks trying to out do one another. Then his father had taken flight and caught him up the boys laughed and called his dad the winner before flying off so they weren't in trouble.
"Though if you're short and can't reach the wings at the same time... it's impossible to pull off."

Melez chuckled. "I am pretty short... But if you're willing to let me try I'd love to learn." She smiled slightly feeling more relaxed about having her wings out. She would keep them in for days on end because if they got seen she'd have really big problems. She shuddered slightly as she remembered some of those problems. "I'm sorry I went against your wishes earlier... It wasn't that I thought that you couldn't handle the pain, it was that... I didn't want to be the cause of your pain..." She looked off down to the floor.

He looked confused a moment before shaking his head. "Nah it's fine. Anyway, you felt where I grabbed right?" Jin stood up and reached out for the tops of Melezs wings where he had grabbed earlier. He gripped the spot again before letting his own wings out and folding them in. He then sat carefully on the floor. His wings now looming like a large feathered tail. "Ok go ahead and grab where I did. You're going to want to hold tight. Since if you lose your grip its almost positive they will shake you off. Though if your grip is good, there is only one way out of that move and I'll teach that to you next.

Melez nodded. "How could I not?" She asked in response to his question as she adjusted her wings slightly. She used both hands and grabbed exactly where Jin had grabbed hers, and held them together. "Now what?" She asked once she was sure her hands were holding tightly, but not painfully.

Jin tried to move his wings but couldn't. "Its really just that simple... then they can't attack, they can't fly, you can permanently disable them by breaking the bones, or rip out the flight feathers and drop them to there death. Or you know, carry them down to the ground and ground them." He laughed as Analyse came in. As she did it was obvious the sun had set.
"I've set it up and so unless you want me to stay over?" The way she said it sounded more like she was gonna stay if she wanted to. Jin did his best to look at her before waving her off.
"I think we have this fight handled. Thanks Analyse." She waved before walking off.
"You know how to get in touch. Good luck the both of you."
"Anyway the only way to get out of this is to try and get your opponent, in this case you, to let go."

Melez forced a smile at Analyse, her lips wanting to curl slightly in a snarl. She didn't really like this woman. This demon. She then looked down to Jin and his wings which were still being held tightly in her small hands. "So how would you do that? Any specific movements?" She was running through various scenarios that would get her out of a similar situation.

He could tell she hated Analyse so he decided it would be best to change the subject quickly. "Well... I may not be able to flap my wings to fly but," He lifted his wings like a bird would d in a mating ritual. Up not out dislodging Melez and sending her up and over into his arms as he caught her. He set her down before setting his wings away. "Then you can be free to fight again." He laughed softly walking to the sink and doing the dishes quickly. "Lets start dinner I'm starving."
