She was just about to reply when she heard the knock. " Darn it.. maybe you better get it while I get dressed a bit better.." she remarked idly heading towards the bedroom to change into work clothes.

Damon chuckled and headed to the door. He had on a pair of pants, but no shirt, as was the norm for him. As he suspected it was Joe. The two made small talk as they waited for Lucy. Joe had another mission for them. This time, it was a bit more urgent.

Lucy pulled on a seafoam green dress that was both stylish and practical. Nothing like her usual style of dress ( undress ) but at least she liked the color. A light black jacket and a pair of comfortable black boots completed the look. It took her a minute or two to run a comb then a brush through her hair and tie it back into a high ponytail. Then she wandered out to where Damon and Joe were.

Damon smiled that slow smile of his when she came in. Like a planet orbiting a star, he seemed to drift towards her.
Joe chuckled as he saw that. "Alright, I'll get right to it. I need you two to go out and get another one. He's a bit older then you both and no one seems to be able to pinpoint what his shifted form is, but he's in trouble." Then Joe handed them a file with a set of identities in it and all the information they'd need. "You guys know what to do. Leave as soon as you can. Any questions?"

Lucy read over the file , biting her bottom lip as she read. " Hmm this looks like a bit of a tough one , especially since we can't tell what his shifted form is.. it could be something that gets out of control.."

Damon, always pretty confident put his arm around her shoulder as he read over the file. "I think we can take it. We have our dragons if we need them. I think we can win him over just by talking. He seems pretty sensible and smart. Shall we pack up?" he asked, eager to figure out how best to win this guy over. There was always a small part of him that hoped any new target who didn't have a known shifted form was a dragon trying to keep it hidden. He didn't really think he'd meet another but by now it was a habit.

She nodded, feeling reassured by his confidence. " Well that's true I suppose.." she only hoped this new guy didn't try to go after her. After all Damon was not a very open guy when it came to others paying her attention. " Yes lets get what we need packed up.."

Damon smiled and walked Joe out. Then he grabbed their bags and put his hand in Lucy's, leading her back to their room. "We taking the bike when we get out of the boundary?"

Damon knew guys had a tendency to try to force themselves onto her. Heck, he'd essentially done it himself to get her to follow him. Taking her hand, he brought it to his lips and kissed her knuckles. "Sounds good. Gut feelings need to be listened to too. I won't let him hurt you. I hopefully the overwhelming mate vibe my dragon sends off will be enough to deflect anything serious," he told her, handing her the bag she used for these trips. "Let me know if that feeling gets worse." Then he went to the dresser and started pulling out the essentials. Black pants, mostly jeans, a few shirts, mostly red or blacks, boxers, socks, and a spare set of shoes. Then he grabbed his toiletry bag and stuffed it on top.

She turned to her own dresser, pulling out dresses, a couple of pairs of pants, undergarments, a sweatshirt and a light jacket. A second pair of equally well worn boots joined them carefully in her bag. She was not one to if she could help it, haphazardly throw things in her bag or stuff them in. Taking her toiletries she felt a shiver run down her spine.

Damon shouldered his bag and walked over to her. His arms wrapped around her from behind as he hugged her. Sighing, either from having to leave or just being content next to her, he couldn't tell. "You okay?" he asked, his deep voice rumbling against her back.

Lucy shrugged , nestling herself back against his back. " I don't know, might have been random , or maybe its another thing from that feeling that something's a bit off here.." she sighed " sometimes, only sometimes, I wish I was psychic or something.."

Damon chuckled, hugging her a bit tighter. "I know that feeling. It would be very nice to get a vision of the future. To at least know what's coming and help to avoid it."

She let out a deep relaxing breath and squeezed his hand. " yep I'm ready.. lets go, the sooner we find this dude the sooner we can get back and have some alone time.."
