Damon smiled, getting breakfast together. Lucy was in their bedroom, still asleep as far as he knew. Todays breakfast was eggs, bacon, and toast with jam. He'd gotten the tray together and was putting the finishing touches on the breakfast in bed he'd planned. It had been nearly six months since he'd gone on that mission to rescue her and now he couldn't imagine his life without her. Pouring orange juice into a couple of glasses, he finished getting things together. Putting the pitcher back, he then picked up the tray and swaggered back into the bedroom. "Lucy," he called softly, "I made breakfast."

Lucy rolled over in bed, yawning, and shoving her tangled hair out of her eyes. Sitting up in bed she sighed, gazing at herself in the mirror. The normal red streaks in her hair were utterly faded by now. Unless she got back to human town soon, or learned a spell they'd fade out completely. It was bad enough losing her typical clothes, she would barely feel like herself without her hair. Slipping on one of Damon's shirts she padded towards the kitchen.

Damon smiled his slow, lazy grin seeing her in his shirt. "Hey," he said, holding the tray in one hand and putting the other on the small of her back. He pulled her into him and kissed her. The kiss started slow and built in intensity. When he broke away, he was breathless. "Good morning, Lucy," he said. Then lifted the tray and said, "I made breakfast. Should we have it here or on the balcony?"

She gasped a bit, trying to regain her breath and equilibrium as the kiss ended. Part of her wanted to go straight back to bed and have a different sort of breakfast. Attempting to get ahold of herself she thought for a moment or two. " Lets go eat on the balcony it looks really nice out there right now. "

Imagining her thoughts ran on the same train as his, he thought it was for the best that they eat on the balcony. Tucking her into his side, Damon kissed her forehead and said, "Sounds good. But I'm willing to bet it'll look even prettier out there once you're out there."

She laughed and lightly punched his shoulder in play. " Oh come on now, my hair's a mess and needs a new dye job, I can't look that good.." She wandered to the balcony doors and looked outside.

He laughed, following her and opening the door for her. "I still say you're lovely. And if you wanted, I bet Serena could help you dye it," he offered, setting the tray down on the table there.

She laughed " its not that simple , cause its not all just one uniform shade, as you've seen.." Still chuckling she stepped out onto the balcony, stretching and gazing out at the view above and below them.

"Well, Joe has something he wants to talk to us about. I suspect it's a new mission. Perhaps we can get you something while were out?" he offered. Damon smiled, watching her. "It's much prettier," he added.

She sighed, " another mission? but we haven't even had that much time to ourselves.." she was only mock whining, she didn't really care that much. " Maybe but I feel like more of myself if I keep this dye job intact, its hard to really explain.."

"It's okay. You don't have to justify it. If you like it, and you enjoy having it a certain way, then you should be able to do it. Now, let's enjoy this view before we see what Joe has planned," Damon said, pulling out her chair for her.

She nodded and tugged the shirt down as she sat, trying her best not to flash him, or anyone else. " I mean.. nowadays my hair is my only link to my past, since I can't wear any of my old clothes anymore.."

Damon moved to his side of the table and picked up her hand, rubbing his thumb across her knuckles. "I'm sorry. I think if we talk to Joe, maybe we can manage to get him to let you have some stuff. And we might be able to smuggle in some dye to keep here."

She chuckled " not that I'm not getting used to this style slowly, but it just doesn't feel like , well, me you know? " She began to eat her food, not wanting the hot things to get cold before she could touch them.

She frowned in thought about what he'd suggested. " I'm not sure, it depends on how urgent of a task he has for us , if its bad I'm sure he can find us somehow.."
