Feed word/character count

The character count for feeds is 500.
It seems that when I write under 500 characters, it still shows up with the following message:
I have used a character/word counter to see how many characters the feed I want to post has, and it's actually less than 450 in some cases.
I'm not sure whether this is a typo in the message (seeing as it might be 400 characters maximum instead of 500), or if it's just a minor bug in the system/code.

But it still shows the incorrect word count, as the feed I'm trying to post has 486 characters.

And your tool probably didn't even count line breaks - they count as two characters (End of line + line break)

And I removed the "•" and replaced them with a ">" and I'm still getting the same message:

I was able to make a post with 1000 [yes, this was increased since the bug report] characters, ALT-code exclusives. There never was a warning and all 1000 characters were posted.
