Pokemon's "Ranking"
Forum-Index → Suggestions → Pokemon's "Ranking"My idea is to show on a pokemon's profile something like this (let's say we have a shiny mega-able bulbasaur):
5685th Bulbasaur
122th Shiny Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venusaur
11th Mega-Able Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venusaur
This would make it a lot easier to tell whether or not you had the first kind of a species, and it can be interesting to know what number your pokemon is. If two (or more) users hatched a special type of pokemon within a short period of time of each other, it could be confusing as to which one got the first/second/third/etc. A pokemon that doesnt have shininess or mega-able ability wont say the place for shiny and mega-able, and just list the number for species.
Edit: If the Pokemon hatched is, say, a shiny male snorunt, then any shiny froslass will not count for the amount of shinnies in its evo line.
Not really important, but would be a cool feature in my opinion.

There could be a better spot, but I think this would be a good place for it to go.
(Also, just wanted to say thanks to supporters : D)
It'll help the PH Records project as well.

Again, these are just ideas so something else could work too.
Secondly, as already mentioned, this would not count released Pokémon. So when you have "10th shiny Taillow", but someone releases a shiny Taillow, you suddenly have "9th shiny Taillow".
Thirdly, this would cost much more disk space and computation time. For example the reason why the ranklists are only updated every few minutes is that it takes many seconds to order all users into the proper lists. The results are then saved ("cached") until the next ranklist update in the database.
Obviously you could argue that also these Pokemon statistics could only be updated every few hours; but then there's the problem of disk space. The ranklist only saves the Top 10, while your idea requires multiple stat records for EVERY Pokémon.
With 10 Million Pokémon (which we will definitely reach next year) and the three categories ("X'th Hatch", "X'th Shiny Hatch", "X'th Mega-Able hatch"), this would be AT LEAST 600MB. And that is a lot for such a small addition.
I'm not saying that it's completely impossible; but I'm saying that it should really be evaluated whether it's worth it or now.
