she pinned her ears back and went to say something when Nanaki, who had been silent this entire time, got up and blocked Amaryllis' view of Castiel while giving her such a stern look it surprised her.
''Amary, Cas isn't comfortable about talking about it, so stop pressing the subject'' he said with a tone of voice that didn't seem to fit him.
Nanaki looked bad at Castiel and gave him a bit of a weak smile as his ears pinned back.
''i'll fill her in later, if your alright with that.....'' he whispered to him in his normal tone of voice, which earned a somewhat confused look from his familiar.

Magnolia watched how Wither reacted and laughed quietly, then perked up when Void returned and blushed a bit more.
''heh.... there was a bit of a misunderstand-'' she started, but was cut off as she almost doubled over in pain and started hacking up blood onto the floor.
she wrapped her arms around her abdomen and shook violently.
''h-how the f---....?! this... is such a delayed.... reaction...!'' she wheezed, blood dripping from her mouth as her eye's glowed a bright red mixed with they're normal green.

Dark took the cup once she handed it to him and started to take a sip, finding the long silence a bit awkward until he heard her question, causing his eye's to widen and almost inhale and choke on the water, coughing a bit before staring at her with wide eye's.
he looked away and lightly scratched his cheek, the bright tomato red blush still plastered to his face.
''a-am i being that obvious.....?'' he asked.

"Oh, please don't be so harsh to each other," he mumbled, nervously scratching at Trauma. His own companion had raised his head in case Amaryllis decided to press too much (but it seemed Nanaki had beat him to it). "That'll be good," Cas replied. He didn't want to lie any more than he already had--the situation would only get even worse, and seeing Nanaki be harsh was enough on its own to shake him. "I just... I'll be better once we change bases, I promise," he said, mostly referring to Tony.

Wither swore, quite loudly, and dropped to the floor with her arms around Magnolia to keep her from shaking as well as she could. Void popped out of the room again with a portal and took five seconds before popping back in with his tail wrapped around an angel nurse's wrist. The nurse got on her knees and raised her hands, making eye contact with Wither. "Is she mentally stable?" Her voice was calm and steady.
"Y-yeah, she was just talking," the demon responded quickly. The nurse nodded, "Get away from her." Wither obeyed and the nurse pressed her fingers against Magnolia's temples, a rune of light forming above her face.
"It's a stabilizing spell," the nurse said to a very concerned Wither as she passed her hands over Magnolia's body, mumbling softly with eyes overcast by light.

Her expression remained unchanged and almost unamused. "Yes. Terribly so." Kaleidoscope offered a sad attempt at a smile and sighed before talking again. "Dar--Kurai, I mean. That's really sweet of you--I think you're very sweet, but I don't think we know each other well enough. Spectrum and I, we're going through a lot, and... well, she needs my help more than ever, and I need hers. Now isn't a good time for..." Her eyes were a bit pained and she circled her wrist around, "those kinds of things."

Nanaki sighed and gave a weak and embarrassed smile, obviously sensing his discomfort as he moved and pulled Amaryllis along, who followed him without a word aside from waving to Castiel and Trauma.
''we'll see you later guys, try to get some rest'' he said, soon the both of them disappearing back to they're room.

Magnolia hissed in pain and tried to push the nurse away, a look of fear in her eyes while trying to curl more, but froze as her face became shadowed with her hair.
suddenly her eyes came to life with a toxic green light mixed with what could've been a blood red, trembling as her teeth shifted to that of a piranha's that dripped with her specialized venom, her teeth bared before slowly turning up into a malicious and psychotic grin, soon the rune of light shattering to dust.
she was eerily quiet, but soon enough lunged at the nurse so fast she already had her teeth sunk into her throat, and before Wither or Void could react, practically ripped the nurses throat to shreds with ease.
she soon leaped away and hissed loudly like a gator and looked over at the other two, her original pupils completely gone and replaced by what looked like the demon's military symbol, then ran and busted through the door and disappeared down the hall.

Kurai felt a little embarrassed about how she put it so bluntly, but listened to her next words as his ears slowly drooped with each word.
he laughed weakly and decided to gently took her free hand in his free hand and gave her an innocent yet affectionate kiss on the forehead.
''we can always get to hang out more, and i can wait a little longer..... i've waited this long haven't i....?'' he asked softly.

Wither huffed, already tired from the previous events of the day. "Void, go set off the lockdown alarm. Dark is in the training room, I want you to bring him." She took only five quick seconds to explain where the alarm was before running out of the door, sprinting to catch up with Magnolia. Her parasol was tightly gripped in her hand, her eyes narrowed.

"Don't do that," Kaleidoscope replied, her voice still firm. She stepped away from him, her hands folded tightly together in front of her. The alarms gradually grew louder until they began to blare, covering the room in an offputting red light. Void leaped out of a portal in his human form quite suddenly, "Oi, you--Magnolia's gone berserk. Get over here." He tightly grabbed Dark's arm and leaped through another portal, dragging him into a hallway just behind Wither.

It didn't take Kaleidoscope too long to run to Tony, but she couldn't help but worry that in even those few seconds worse had been brought upon them. It was times like these that she wished she could teleport like Void or Wither. She bent down and shook his shoulder violently, the loud screeches of the alarms hurting her ears.

Kurai watched as she pulled herself away from him and started to reach out after Kaleidoscope, but stopped himself and pulled his arm back, looking away as his ear's drooped even more.
he perked up when he heard the alarm going off and his eyes widened, looking up just as Void grabbed his arm and, unable to process stuff correctly, yelped in surprise when he was pulled through the portal and stood in the hallway by Wither.
by the time all three of them caught up to Magnolia she already had her next victim pinned to the ground, a demon this time, and was basically like a cat playing with they're catch, but what she did was trying to torture the other demon by bending they're arm, waiting for a snapping sound while they cried out in pain.
Kurai stared at his demon companion in horror, soon running past Wither and Void to stop Magnolia.

Once he was closer he yanked her off the poor demon who had been pinned and slammed her into a wall, then pinned her to the ground with her arms behind her back.
Magnolia thrashed about and screeched in utter hatred and rage, her voice sounding distorted as she swore up a storm in demonic tongue.
Kurai looked at Wither and Void with his ears pinned back, a grim expression.
''what did you do to cause this? and do you have any idea what you've just done by triggering the alarm?! if the leader find's out she's dangerous he'll execute her! she didn't even remember what happened the last time she was like this!'' he asked them, soon growing angry at his last sentence.

Tony grumbled as he stirred and rubbed his eyes, but the moment his mind registered the alarm he jolted awake and looked up at Kaleidoscope with wide eyes.
he scrambled to his feet and summoned his sword.
''what's going on Kaleidoscope?'' he asked.

"If we don't put the place on lockdown she would've executed more than just the two," Wither hissed back, nodding curtly at Void and eyeing the demon who had been attacked. Void bounded forward and pulled the demon through a portal to the infirmary, quickly closing it behind him. Wither walked up to Kurai and made firm eye contact with him--she couldn't look at Magnolia--and tightened her jaw. "We don't execute, Dark. I know Tony and he's not like that. But we need to fix this before anyone else gets hurt and you're the only one who has even the vaguest idea of what the f--k is going on, alright?" Her tone was steady and slow with a firmness that matched Kurai's anger.

Kaleidoscope paused for a split second, respecting Tony for being able to draw his sword so quickly, and began to dash through the hallways with only a brief gesture for him to follow her. "Magnolia snapped," she explained when she was sure he was behind her. "I don't quite know how. But we need you there."
Spectrum's voice tapped into Kaleidoscope's mind, "K-kali?... I hear the alarms. Are you okay? What's going on?"
I'll be there in a moment. Stay in the room, she replied, knowing that telling Spectrum the truth would only freak him out more.

he gave a soft growl at Wither before sighing and looked away a little to avoid eye contact.
''the military emblem in her eyes should've been a dead giveaway.... but.. this happened once before..... it was when we were about to leave the training room aster she finished her combat training, but an angel wanted to spar with her... it was odd when she declined, since she never missed the opportunity to train... but he kept insisting, while she clearly stated she didn't want to spar'' he explained, trying to remember now.
Kurai looked back at her and flicked his tail, his grim expression returning.
''that was until that angel forced his hand and threw an attack at Maggie when her back was turned, causing this same reaction to attack and kill..... the only way i know how to stop her was to knock her out'' he said, soon doing just that, knocking her out cold before standing up.

Tony cursed under his breathe as he ran after Kaleidoscope to catch up.
''i'm not the only unstable one today it seems'' he sighed.

Wither flinched when Kurai knocked her out but her face hardened and all emotion dispelled. Void brushed up against her ankle and she looked down at him. "You trigger this?" He asked, his tail swishing back and forth too calmly. Wither inhaled sharply and shrugged. "I don't think so. I'd hope not." She closed her eyes for a long time and rubbed her neck.
Memories of her father that she had pushed to the back of her mind filled her thoughts and she could very vaguely recall the demon military dabbling in mind control and experiments--which one Magnolia fell to, she couldn't say. Wither was sure that she had been playing off in a corner when that conversation had happened; she was only a mild eavesdropper as a child.

Kaleidoscope thought of Spectrum and fell silent, watching the cabin numbers as they passed by. She had barely caught a glimpse of the numbers when she peeked into Void's portal but she had a rough estimate that would suffice. She spotted Wither first, with her token parasol, and stopped next to her with her chest rapidly rising up and down. She nervously rubbed her eyes, "What happened while I was gone?"
Wither looked over her shoulder at Tony and her lips tightened.

he sighed and rubbed his temples, leaving one ear pinned back as his other ear perked up.
''the only thing that seems to trigger her to act this way is an angel's light magic.... so she never spars with angel's using magic and she never goes to get healed by the angel medical staff, there is a specialized demon healer who's figured out how to heal in this base but hasn't really had any patients aside from Maggie....'' he muttered, somewhat defeated now that he had time to process everything properly.

Kurai perked up when he spotted Kaleidoscope and Tony got here and his heart ached when he looked at Kali, but when he looked at Tony and noticed he had his sword his ears shot up and he started growling quietly, teeth bared as he stood protectively over his friend, wings appearing and spreading to they're full length.
Tony glared and sighed, putting his free hand in his pocket while keeping his sword lowered.
''don't tempt me Dark.... i could easily have you imprisoned with her for trying to threaten me, but your both one of the few best fighters this rebel base has right now, but if your Demon companion there is a danger to all of us, she has to be locked up for a little while until we can figure something out'' he said sternly, which caused Kurai's growling to cease and make him look away.

Wither lightly put a dismissing hand on Dark's right wing as she stepped in front of him, her formal smile eerie. "I don't believe that'll be necessary, Tony. Right now we need to get her into proper care and I'm certain she'll be fine once she wakes up--Dark mentioned a specialized healer. I'll take the, er... collateral damage and get that under control; Magnolia isn't responsible for this. I'm sure we have a protocol for possession and things like that."
Her hands laced together in front of her tightly. "After all, it wouldn't be the first time someone wasn't quite acting like themselves." Kaleidoscope's eyebrows furrowed and she met Wither's gaze sternly. "Tone it down--all of you," she said.

Kurai flinched when he felt Wither put her hand on his wing and folded them while watching her, and seeing her block Tony's pathway to him and Magnolia allowed him to relax a bit and decided to check on her.
he knelt down and carefully moved her to where she rolled onto her side and sighed, disappointed in himself that he didn't sense anything sooner.
Tony listened to Wither and grumbled slightly, not negatively though, and nodded in agreement about the protocols, since him and Aqua were the ones to come up with them.
however once she spoke next, he tensed up and gripped his sword a bit tighter.
''Wither.... i truly apologize for my behavior in the mess hall, i wasn't feeling well and i wasn't thinking clearly..... but you jabbing at me like that won't solve anything'' he said as calmly as he could.

"Sorry about that. Do put your sword away, Tony. It's making everyone uneasy and you and I work too closely to negotiate like demon children." She tapped the handle of her parasol. "I value the safety of our people dearly and, with the best interest, Mag needs healing as soon as possible. Us negotiating about her future is the worst we could do for her right now--although she wasn't quite thinking clearly either, and I doubt she'll even remember the casualties--so I say we just send these two off to go help her, yeah?"
Wither prodded Void's side with her foot lightly. He huffed and padded over to Dark, asking him where he needed to go with orange flecks beginning to concentrate in the air to prepare a portal.
"I'm sorry, did you say casualties?" Kaleidoscope chimed in harshly, her demeanor hardening once death was involved. "How many, Wither?"
The demon inhaled sharply and forced herself to meet Kali's gaze. "Two. An angel nurse was killed and a demon was injured. The demon is under care at the moment. I'll deal with the death--Tony deserves a rest after the events of today." She turned to him, tapping her foot idly. "We do have diplomatic matters to discuss, though. Preferably as soon as possible."

he huffed and made his sword vanish, then crossed his arms as he listened to her speak, still rather annoyed she managed to mention something about his behavior, but said nothing else.
''if it's about the airship i don't really care, i honestly just want to get out of this massive underground coffin.... anything else can be discussed later.... just deal with this mess for now...'' Tony grumbled, soon turning as he left and headed for his room.
Kurai soon picked Magnolia up and stood, taking one last glance at her before turning and headed off in the other direction, simply ignoring all of them now as he focused on helping his mistress.

Wither nodded curtly but clenched her jaw. She had promised Castiel that she would help him confess to Tony once they were in a safe space... but progress was progress and she was willing to take it for now. Void, realizing that there was nothing he could to do help Kurai, padded back over to Wither and leaned on her leg. She looked down at him and sighed, her relief suppressed with her worry for Magnolia's health.
"Is there anything I could do to help--"
Wither put up a hand and cut off Kaleidoscope before she could finish her sentence. "I don't think you're fit for working closely with corpses, Kali. I'm sure Spectrum is frazzled as well and she probably needs you. Thank you, though."
Kali pinched her lips and nodded. "Good luck," she said tersely before turning around and going back into her animal form to pad off back to her companion.
Void and Wither walked back to Magnolia's room to deal with the angel nurse, chatting softly.

"Hey, Alex, Konani~" Anne called curiously as she plopped down from one of the ceiling beams in front of him. "I do believe the base is on lockdown." She looked over her shoulder and gripped her weapon tightly.

the boys stared in the direction they heard the alarms and then looked back at Anne.
''yeah we can tell, that alarm ain't exactly quiet'' Konani said.
Alexander nodded in agreement and scratched the side of his head.

Not recognizing Konani's sarcasm, she bit her lip and looked back in the general direction of the alarms. "Should... we prepare to defend the airship or what?" Anne mumbled, confused. "I mean, the base is on lockdown. It's not really like we can... go back in. Wwwhat do we do?" She mumbled.

''well since the base is on lockdown we can't do a thing until everything has been cleared, so all we can so is wait....'' Alexander sighed.
Konani groaned out of boredom and, just because he could, jumped onto Alexander's back and clung to him like a monkey, resting his head on his shoulder and snuggled into him.
Alex only swayed slightly when Konani jumped on him and looked at his Angelic companion with his good eye, almost unfazed as if it were a common thing, but still blushed a little since Anne was standing there in front of them.
''why must you be so weird yet so adorable at the same time?'' he asked, reaching back to cup his face with one hand and kissed him.
Konani's face flushed when Alexander kissed him and huffed, one ear drooping as he looked away.
''oh now you grow shy, whats wrong my dear foxy~?'' he cooed, grinning a little.
he looked at Alex and just blushed even more.
''you can be such an a-- sometimes....'' Konani grumbled, but reluctantly pecked Alex on the cheek as he laughed.

Anne watched, a bit confused by their banter. Konani's sarcasm never ceased to challenge her limited social skills. She strolled slowly to the railing of the deck, hoisting herself onto it and dangling her legs off of the airship. She looked up at the sky, searching for aerial danger, and figured that if they were under attack they would have seen something by now.

Spectrum eased the door open slowly and Kaleidoscope entered, brushing against his ankles as she padded past him. "K-kali, what's going on? Are you okay?" He croaked, closing the door and locking it firmly. He followed her to the bed and cocooned himself in the blankets again, noticing that the alarms had turned off. The fluorescent red lights indicated that the base was still on lockdown.
"Everything is fine. Just a little mishap with Magnolia. I spoke to Tony, he's a bit stressed but he's doing better. I do believe we'll be moving soon, though," Kaleidoscope reassured soothingly. She curled up next to Spectrum, clearly exhausted, and rested her head on her paws.

there was a bit of silence before a thud echoed and Alexander followed soon after, humming softly as he leaned on the railing beside her, Konani not clinging to his back anymore.
''Starlight is gonna be out for a little bit'' he chuckled, looking out towards the barren terrain.
he soon fell silent and the smile he had faded, his breathing becoming a bit ragged a fast before closing his only eye and took a few slow, deep breathes before his breathing steadied out.
''dammit... i can't even relax in an open space like this before a memory flicker's into my mind and causes me to almost hyperventilate.......'' he grumbled softly, voice just a little shaky.

after some walking Kurai had soon made it to the room the demon doctor was and knocked on the door with his foot, which earned silence for only a split second before someone inside stomped to the door and swung it open to reveal a scrawny looking dirty blonde male with flattened orange tabby ears standing there.
''who the hell-'' he started but the rest of his sentence caught in his throat as he spotted Magnolia, then looked up at Kurai with wide rose red eyes.
''it happened again... she needs help Lucius'' Kurai muttered, ears drooping.
the shorter male sighed and motioned for him to follow as he disappeared inside.
''you know where to lay her down'' Lucius said, his tail twitching as he turned on his work laptop and brought Magnolia's file up.

Kurai soon entered, having to duck through the doorway, and put her down on the bed, sitting down on the floor beside the bed.
''who was hurt this time Dark? considering she went nuts again'' he said, walking over with a stethoscope and a damp washcloth.
Kurai was silent for a moment, then sighed before looking up at Lucius.
''Wither mentioned at least one fatal casualty with an angel nurse.... i kept a second death from happening though...'' he sighed, looking back at Magnolia while Lucius cleaned her face and started checking her vitals.
''not surprised honestly, especially with how the demon military's lead scientists planned for her to be like this.... those sick bas----'s did love experimenting on orphans they found wandering the streets and alleyways...'' he growled quietly.

(this is Lucius, orange tabby demon cross-breed, rose red eyes instead of the color shown in image (he's a grumpy kitty lmaoooo))

Anne looked to the side at him, barely catching his words. "Is everything alright?" She asked with concern, wondering where Konani had gone.
