Khaalida walks to one of the two doorways. "I'm not going back upstairs. You can if you want. I only got to the doorway at the top of the stairs so there's a lot unexplored up there..." She says before walking out. She needed to clear her mind. She kept walking until she came to an empty room. She walked to the center and sat down. She took several deep breaths and when she opened her eyes she was in a field full of green grass and many colored butterflies.

Riku doesn't glance up as she leaves, only hearing her footsteps. He sits unmoving. "Should I go?" He wonders and presses his lips together. After a few moments of deciding, Riku stands testing his foot to make sure it was good enough to walk on. It didn't bring him any pain so he made his way upstairs. As soon as he made it, the smell of decaying flesh met him. Riku closed his eyes and inhaled, welcoming it.
(is Khaalida imagining the field?)

Khomich walks amongst the tall grass, feeling it brush against her feet and outspread arms. The warmth of the sun offset by the cool breeze carrying the scent of wildflowers and an impending storm. She falls backward in the grass and lays on the soft earth. The damp, sweet smell permeating her very being. She stared at the crystal clear blue sky above her as thunder rolled across the land.
(Yes, she is imagining it.)

Riku reopened his eyes, the sight not bothering him whatsoever. In fact, he simply ignored it and continued his way. Up in this floor there was a lot of corpse and flies buzzing about. "Shut it," Riku mutters, their buzzing irritated his ears. He swatted one as it came close. There was another room with a broken desk. Riku approached it, noticing a bunch of papers scattered about. "Hmm," He picks one up titled 'Economy'. After examining it, he discarded it and picked up a few more.
(Axel should be making his appearance soon...)

Khaalida stands up and walks to the edge of a pristine lake. Not a single ripple, even though there was a breeze in the air. She dipped her foot into the water, somehow she didn't have her boots on, the water was perfect. Not freezing cold, and just warm enough to tempt her to swim. But something stayed her other foot. She had an odd feeling, just as another wave of thunder passes overhead.

Riku skims over the papers, none of them interesting. "Humans can be so...dull." He mutters while discarding the stack. He walks over to the broken window, idly wondering what Khaalida was up to. I shouldn't have been that angry... Riku squints at the sunlight, a figure catching his attention. Tilting his head, he stares harder but nothing was there. With a shrug, Riku walks back to the desk.

Khaalida walked back through the field with an odd sensation tugging at the back of her mind that she was being watched. She looked all around her and found no sign of movement. I must be crazy... She turns and suddenly sees two people walking towards her. They look like twins from a distance. As they approach her she gasps as she realizes they are both her. One of them has a slightly darker skin and lacks fangs, the other is much whiter and her fangs are protruding from below her lip. "Hello Khaalida... We are you... Both sides of you..." They both say at the same time.

As Riku walks back, the floor made a loud groaning noise. Before he had time to react, the floor gave in and he fell. "Ah, crap!" He growled landing hard onto his back. Riku groaned shutting his eyes. Immediately he reopened them when he heard laughter. "Khaalida??" He moans but he already knew it wasn't her. The laugh was too deep. Riku narrowed his eyes and slowly stood, wincing during the process. I knew I saw someone...but the figure was too far away...its not a human. His stomach sank.

Khaalida was ripped from her meditation by a very loud crash. "RIKU!" She yells as she leaps up and runs towards the noise. That was too loud to just be him knocking something over or him falling... The floor must've given out... She enters the room with the couch and through the other doorway she can see dust that had been unsettled. "Riku!" She walks quickly, but stepping carefully, lest she falls through somewhere too.

Riku heard Khaalida cry out his name. I'm alright, He thinks, unable to see clearly due to the dust. He wanted to tell her to not come since it wasn't safe, someone else was with them. After a few moments, he managed to head the opposite direction in attempt to lead whoever was there away from Khaalida. That laugh sounded familiar... He limped rather quickly, his foot once again throbbing. Riku turned the corner and he saw a figure move across the doorway. Instinctively, Riku threw a punch but his fist collided into nothing. "You're an idiot, you know that?" A voice behind him said with amusement. Riku immediately pivoted around and threw another punch but the figure latched his fingers around Riku's arm and twisted it. Riku cried out and gritted his teeth, eyes narrowing. He glanced up and froze. No... "A-Axel?!" Riku stammered, a part of him happy to see his friend once more.

Khaalida kept walking and began to run as she didn't hear a reply from Riku. What if he was knocked unconscious? What if... No. He's just unconscious... Maybe the humans found him... Oh please not that... She found the place where he fell through. Upon finding him not there she looked around at the only other exit to the room. She walked around the corner and began down the corridor seeing another turn up ahead. "Riku?" She calls out.

The white haired individual smirked down at Riku and helped him up. "The one and only," Axel replies. Riku rubs his arm and glared at the other vampire. "Did you have to twist it?" He growled. Axel simply chuckled and patted Riku's shoulder. "And that's how you greet your friend?" He asks, pretending to be hurt. Riku smirked at this. "It's good to see you, Axel. You just startled me, that's all. Axel nods at this, his face turning serious. "Where have you've been?" Riku stiffens, not knowing how to answer. You know, just trying to get as far as possible from vampires and humans... To make matters worse, Khaalida voice echoed in the room they were in catching Axel's attention. "Who's that?" He asks, his eyes narrowing slightly. Riku thought quickly. "A vampire I'm escorting," He replies rather hastily. Axel nods once again, his features not getting any softer. "Really?" He says and walks back where Khaalida was. Don't attack, Khaalida... Riku prays and follows nervously.

"Rik..." Khaalida stops midsentence as she rounds the corner and sees an unfamiliar person walking towards her. Only upon seeing Riku behind this vampire did she sigh slightly in relief. Is this Riku's friend? Or is he another vampire in the King's service? She hid a shiver as she realized that whoever this was, was a good deal larger than her. "Riku are you alright?" She called out to Riku. "I heard a very loud crash..." What has he told this person? I need to find out so we don't tell conflicting stories... Her eyes darted nervously between Riku and this other vampire.

Riku waves off her concern, forcing a smile on his face. "I'm alright. The floor gave away and I fell." Axel snickers at Riku's explanation but his eyes stay hard, not leaving off of Khaalida. Riku went over to stand next to his friend. "Khaalida, this is Axel. And Axel, this is Khaalida. I'm escorting her." He says. Axel nods, not offering his hand to her. He's trying to see what he can make of her... Riku thinks, glancing at the taller vampire. Axel grunts and rubs his chin. "And may I ask why he is escorting you...Khaa-li-da?" He asks saying her name in a sing-song voice, his crimson eyes glinting. Riku presses his lips together and swallowed silently.

Khaalida clenched her jaw when Axel said her name in such a tone that it brought back memories from the orphanage. Khaa-li-da! The bully would say before shoving her to the floor. The rest of his group of bullies would begin chanting as well. Once it got loud enough to muffle her cries the bully would begin kicking, and wouldn't stop until the teacher came over. She blinked as though to shut out the memories so she can deal with the situation at hand. "He's escorting me because I am on the patrol outside of the city and we've already run into humans along the way..." She points to Riku's leg. "He's just getting me out of the city." She states attempting to be confident in her story. Oh god I hope that works...
(I can understand being busy :) I myself have been busy too XD)

Riku held in a sigh of relief, noticing that Axel's expression softened. "Humans, pesky little things aren't they?" Axel notes, glancing over at Riku. "You lost your edge, brother. Its been far too long since you had any proper training." Riku scoffs and crosses his arms. "Says the one who always skipped them," He retorts, grinning. Axel chuckles but quickly regains his posture once again staring hard at Khaalida. "You know...I've never seen you before..." Axel takes a step towards Khaalida and Riku has to stop himself from taking one as well. He eyed his friend not knowing what to expect.
(Ah okay :P just wanted to let you know!)

Khaalida stiffens, but holds her ground. "I've been out on patrols. I haven't spent much time at the base." The last part is true... The first part is kinda true... I have been out, but not exactly patrolling... "Riku told me we may run into a friend of his... I'm just glad you found him and not a human." She says, focusing her mind and shoving her fear and nervousness aside, letting her face melt into that of expressionlessness. Oh Gods I hope this works...

"Ah, yes you two keep repeating 'patrols'. I guess you didn't hear that all the patrols have been called back to the base for special announcements?" Axel shrugs. "Honestly, I don't even know but that's why I'm all the way over here. I was finding you," He turns towards Riku. After what Axel said, Riku's stomach sank. How are we going to do this? We can't explain why we can't go, its direct orders... Riku forcefully nods. "Really? We didn't hear the...news. Right, Khaalida?" He says and takes a glance at her.

"No. We did not hear it. When was it sent out?" Khaalida stiffens slightly wishing she had her katana. No, no, no... He's getting into details... Details will be out breaking point... I knew I should have spent more time thinking on this... "How did you know Riku was over this way?" Yeah, turn the questions on him... Keep them off of us... A bead of sweat ran down her back as her guts twisted into knots.

Riku mentally grunts, seeing where Khaalida was heading. She's turning the questions on him but Axel isn't easily intimidated by such things... He watches his friend simply smirk at Khaalida's question. "I figured since Riku is the type to roam around and not stay at his post. It would make sense that he would be far away." Axel replies smoothly. "And...the news was sent yesterday." He adds.
