i was actually thinking of the weather like it was in ruby/sapphire, running into the weather for the first time while i was playing it was something i'll never forget, haha the kyogre at the top reminded me of it

also a little bit like the type-boosting moves, like sunny day i think? something along those lines as well

weather is something that's been in the games for a while now, so the idea itself can't really be attributed or credited to any site that has it specificaly anyways

Sandstorm would help Steel, Rock, and Ground types
Hail would help Ice type
Sunny day would help Fire, grass and Electric types
rain would help water, bug, and dark

Yes Umbreon, but we have no moves here.

Another idea that just came up: What if e.g. it is Fire Day, and not only get fire Pokemon double points, but all Pokemon in Party weak to fire (bug, grass etc) get only half?

(We're getting double points at the moment anyway if anyone noticed)

EDIT: And how about we have a Castform indicate the weather? I could invent some more formes for it then.

That might make it more interesting, but people would probably just move those Pokemon to their boxes.

They resemble more the type they stand for than the weather, as I would need a list of weather effects that we would have. Please tell me if you still like this idea and what you think of the Castforms.

Thanks :3 I thought that we could use the normal Castform for Normal Day (duh!), Rain CF for Water (duhduh!), Sunny for Fire, and the Hail CF for Ice Day. I'll do some more Castforms. Already have an idea for the Flying Castform.

Wow, it's amazing to see how motivated and dedicated you are, guys! :D Really cool.

And I totally do like the idea of wheater effects. They are an important part of the Pokémon games, so we should use this.
I also like the idea of the Castform-Sprites. Your sprites look really nice and cute, Mirej :)
Although I think they are a bit small, aren't they?
Maybe something like this would fit better:
(without animation; maybe also a little bit smaller so it fits into the userbar)

Keep up with your suggestions!

I did the basic Castform and the Electric one (I just love it) again with 30x30 pixels size, which should fit into the user bar having 1 pixel above and beneath it. I didn't use the Trozei sprite, I think they look kind of... strange xD Anyway here they are:
