I see pokemon that just hatched and were probably gonna sit in a trade box their whole life getting on the index page including mine FOUR TIMES and it really frightened me because other pokemon deserve these interactions much more

so you should be able to select which pokemon you want on index, it really sucks that it's random and you may end up with a pokemon you really don't want on index still getting on it

there should be a checkbox on a pokemon or eggs' summary page and if you tick it on that pokemon won't appear on index so you can decide which of your pokemon gets on index if you have more than 1 pokemon in your party and you really want one to level up and the other ones not as much as the pokemon you wanted to level up while still having 6 pokemon in my party

and I suggested something about eggs for shiny chain hatching 1 second before the pokemon on index page gets replaced not getting on index but this is different

Also if the pokemon is released it should be re-chosen (like in the egg one)

Because honestly, there are a lot of pokemons that I don't want to be selected to be on the index page, and that would take too long to go through them all.

I give this 100% support as I would rather have my Empoleon on the index rather than my hordes of Mightyena and Starvia/Starly.

This is a good idea, because I would rather people interact with something like my shiny Haxorus than my many extra Charmanders.

Support because when I first played PH on my first day straight after my third egg hatched it was a weedle and it landed on the front page then gained 50 levels. I wished that happened to my Charmander instead of my weedle.

Now..that's a bit rude, what you deem useless might mean a lot to others.
Perhaps that useless pooch was that user's favorite pokemon.
Perhaps that useless pooch was a gift from a dear friend before he/she left ph.

This bolded part doesn't make sense. When a Pokemon is in your party it levels up quicker than those in your boxes. So if you don't want it to level up, put it in your boxes.
Also, the index page only chooses Pokemon/eggs from your party. It doesn't go into your boxes to choose a Pokemon unless you moved a Pokemon into your boxes while it was on the index page, which is most likely what happened to you when your trade box Pokemon were on the index page four times.

I edited my first post

and the 4 trade box pokemon I meant hatched about 1 second before the pokemon on the index page were replaced so I couldn't prevent them from getting on index by putting them in a storage box

If it really is so close-cut, adding a tickbox won't change it... There would still need to be time for you to click the box between the pokémon hatching and the pokémon being selected for the index page.

I don't support; it will only add further frustration if the pokémon was selected before you had time to tick the box.

No support. I would barely even use it, it doesn't matter to me which pokemon is chosen. At least it was chosen, what else would I want? I also like what CatLady said. It does take time to check the box and your pokemon/egg may have already been chosen. If you ticked the box when the pokemon/egg was already on the index page, it would mess the game up. It's just too risky.

I only support if it is like this.
To check only the boxes of the pokemon you don't want would not make that much sense, in the time you checked it, the pokemon could have gotten to the index page and is time you could have used to throw it to the extra box.

well I believe in that if something good or bad happens it won't happen for a long time meaning that's a wasted chance of your pokemon getting on index

and while you were writing this it happened again...
