I do love Luna. Don't get me wrong here. But I do not believe she has done enough to be considered "Best Princess" in my book.

Luna simply because I love the night, which she represents. Plus she has a nice, juicy backstory, something I appreciate as a writer and reader.
Cadence because she is beautiful and is very nurturing, plus she was willing to sacrifice herself for a kingdom almost everyone else had forgotten about entirely, and that takes guts.
So both of them are battling for my top princess.

Responsibility for one, she was willing to rule a kingdom by herself for the sake of saving the lives of the ponies there
Which some say was selfish, but remember that Terek, Discord, Sombra, and many other villains were defeated by the sister together
Meaning that banishing her sister would leave her all alone, she would be the only one standing in between peace and enslavement
I also admire how she tries to be just like a normal pony
She plays pranks upon her citizens to show them that she is not just some goddess, but she is a pony too
I own a comic that shows that she holds events where she humiliates herself, so the ponies can feel more down to earth with her
It makes me feel like she is a savior, who doesnt need the attention for it

She was a normal unicorn, as Cadence was believed to be born a Pegasus. Twilight had to go through thick and thin with her friends, learning about friendship every inch of the journey. At the end, she turns into an alicorn princess, but still has a journey....to finish.

Plus what I guess that I mean is that she becomes a princess after only a year ago (or 100 moons, idk how time is measured in equestria, but it's clearly not a long time seeing as how the CMC hasn't aged a bit) of finding actual friends
