Didact turned away from the displays. "We'll be there in a few minutes." He nodded.
"Good." Jack replied. He looked at Copper. "What would she get out of a war with the Godsphere?" He asked.

"I may have given her over to ONI at one point, and they may or may not have reprogrammed her to detest it, like all the other UNSC AIs." Sliuril admitted. "Also, it goes along with her goals of protection John and humanity. With the Throne's power, she could very realistically grant them either quasi or true Immortality, and potentially other benefits besides. It's power is basically unlimited."

Jack gave a small snort of laughter. "Something like that." He muttered. "You'd do well to remember that you're among gods."
"Still not buying it, card boy." Didact muttered.

"We're a minute out. The locals may not like it if we fly a ship into their city." Beowulf interjected.
"Hold course. They'll have to live with it." Didact shrugged.

"I slept through it." Faith not very helpfully supplied.
"Shush."

"We're here." Beowulf announced as the ship lightly touched down.
"Good." Jack nodded and turned to the others. "To talk to the Oracle, you'll have to go stand on the raised platform and hold up the glyph. The corresponding psrt of the Oracle will be activated and answer any question you have if it is in its domain of knowledge." He said. "It shouldn't take much to figure out which glyph we're missing." He added as the opening appeared and the ramp dropped.

She turned to Jack. "Would it be possible to ask them where our missing glyph is?"

"One day, I'll understand what you just said." The Didact promised.

"Don't." Naomi advised. "Let sleeping dogs lie, and you won't have to tolerate them for the rest of time."
"Oh, that and more." Copper muttered. "Sliuril, I know technically she's your prerogative, but you have told her about the Throne, right?"
"I haven't had the time." Sliuril answered. "Also, at some points, Naomi probably would have tried to hit me, and with the Chaos forces there you know how it would have ended."
Copper cooed at Naomi. "Oh, you poor thing. Don't worry, I'll tell you everything you need to know. Just follow me."
She pulled Naomi into a room that she should not have known about. Sliuril looked like she was trying to rationalize what had just happened.

"I must say, you have a very interesting sister." Jack shrugged. "I don't imagine that she'd be used to taking no for an answer. Also, she just took your soldier."

"I'm assuming opening fire isn't an option?" He asked. "Only, I'm not entirely sure if be able to sufficiently explain to them why we're here."

She paused at the middle of the ramp, hands up in a surrender position. "We aren't here to attack you." She began with, because that sounded the least likely to set them off. "We're just here to consult the Oracle."

Jack walked forward to the man who had spoken. "Keep it quiet, but we've found the communication glyphs. The Oracle will speak to us." He told the guard. The man blinked then sheathed his sword.
"Let them pass." The man said. Didact exited the ship. "I'll take it that this is sorted?" He said, looking down at the guards who were backing away. Jack nodded. "The Oracle is right through that arch. Let's figure what we have."

Faith took a step outside, grunted once, and headed back inside the warm Cryptum. Elijah did follow them, though, more out of desire to avoid being alone with a dragon than anything else.

Jack walked through the arch and had to crane his neck to look up at the Oracle. The stone was carved into four stern, bearded faces. Opposite them, a set of stairs led up to a platform that would bring a person essentially face to face with the Oracle. With a small sigh, Jack began walking up the stairs. Didact followed him distractedly, scanning the Oracle.

Sliuril paused for a few moments to take in the whole affair, before moving on. She followed Jack up the stairs. Once they reached the top, Sliuril took out the three Glyphs.

Beowulf's avatar appeared and strolled around the space, seemingly studying the dragon. "Ur-Didact doesn't trust any of you. Then again, he doesn't really trust me. But you don't seem all that bad." The AI hissed thoughtfully. "He can keep his doubts, but I'm sure he knows as well as me that you and your little group could have killed him by now."
(Yeah, you can decide which one replies.)

"Ah, the sign of Avisto. You wish to know of the past."
Sliuril had a question prepared already, although she had no idea how the Oracle would respond to it.
"Tell me about the Sundering Wars."
Faith snorted. "Oh, trust me. We have little interest in killing the Forerunners, and it's not like Copper would have been thrilled if we did." She looked up to the avatar of Beowulf, pacing around as if studying her. "Besides, this is his ship. And going by ship is easier than teleporting everywhere."
