Faith shrugged at the display and decided not to ponder it, why the he'll should she? It was simply humans being humans, she thought. "So who is this General of yours?" She asked.

"General Whitcomb." Locke said. Dutch got onto his feet and looked at Locke as if to 'I'll get you back later.' "He's a real mystery to ." he said. "Yeah," Locke aaid, "try and ask him about his past. He'll pretend he doesn't see you. But a good man."

"You know, it does sound stupid." Dutch said, looking at Locke. "Amen to that." Locke said. "C'mon, let's go challenge someone to twenty questions and see how angry theu are when they lose." Dutch said. Locke grunted and followed him. It wasn't exactly his idea of fun, but he had nothing better to do."

Faith snorted and decided to have no part on that, instead she phased through the walls, created a commotion, and decided to let herself get sunburnt on the grounds.

"Hey, why don't you do thay, while I go to the shooting range. There's been a shipment of the MA5B prototypes." Locke said. Dutch soon followed. They both picked up the highly experimental guns and started shooting at the targets.

Faith walked out of the base, even through it was made from solid metal. She was never one to care for the details when humans were concerned, after all. Still though, she wondered just who the General actually was, and how he was connected to her past. Mentally, she was two hundred and some odds year old. She though was far older than that.

Locke and Dutch both lowered their weapons and observed the shattered targets. "I like this one." Dutch said, looking at a partially destroyed target. "Yeah, we gotta get 'Keep Away From Caboose' signs for these guns." Locke commented. They both slung the guns and walked towards the base.

Faith let her memories drift to earlier times.

A small white dragon, no more than the size of a large dog, happily walked alongside a young Immortal. The dragon carried remains of a mouse. They were in a field, with the smallest specks of snow could be seen, and the dragon was clearly cold. The Immortal had taken off her cloak and draped it on the dragon, hoping it provided some warmth. "You will awaken, yes? It would be a dreary world without you." The Immortal asked. The dragon nodded. 'Yes, I will return after fifty years.' The dragon answered. The Immortal smiled then. "Very well then, and take care my friend." She said, hugging the dragon one last time before she headed back to other places.

A group of marines passed them. A few saluted but the rest carried of jogging and chanting. "When I die, please bury me deep," the leader of the group sang, the others chorused back, "Place my MA5 down by my feet!" Locke and Dutch recognized it as the Helljumper anthem. Helljumper was another name for ODST. "Helljumper, Helljumper where you been? the soldiers sang. "Feet first into hell and back again." Dutch fondly finished the line. Locke looked at him but said nothing. He tried to remeber the lost boy who had come into the base, looking for the CO. Locke had pointed the way oit for him. He shook himself from the memory and continued walking.

Locke saw Faith. He walked up to her, Dutch by his side. "You know, it's a little late to ask you this, but... you got a name?" he asked. Dutch didn't say anything, but simply stood there. They had always addressed her as 'the dragon'.

(Looking through the RP and noticed they had no idea about Faith's name.)

Faith blinked as they asked the question. She of course had near told them her names, but she knew theirs. "Yes, I have a name. All dragons have one." She answered. "For now though, you'll have to just call me Faith. I really don't feel like telling you my actual name."

"Faith." Locke said. "Okay." with that, he turned around and walked away. "Beats the hell out of saying 'the dragon'." Dutch. "Yeah. Sure does." Locke agreed.

(Let's get the ball rolling, shall we?)

Faith lifted her head as she swiveled her ears, she could have sworn that she heard the charging of millions of goblin warriors. Her purple eyes became half-lidded as she tried to sense their presence, while goblins weren't exactly 'bright' in the Being, hundreds of them tended to become annoying. True enough, she quickly saw a mist-like substance marching towards the base. A single, very bright star was leading them, and she gasped as she recognized it. ' "DUTCH!!!LOCKE!!! WE HAVE TROUBLE!!!" ' She shouted, both in the minds of everybody in the base and at the top of her lungs. That broght star was something very, very bad - a Demonspawn. And not just any Demonspawn, this one was also proficient in magic. Not good.

Locke was already organizing things. "They'll be on by sunset! Get the tanks rolling out into the cover! All LRVs (Light Reconnaissance Vehicles) have three people on them; driver, passenger and gunners!" he shouted. If we have any Vultures, get them in the air. Otherwise, scramble all Hornets and Attack Pelicans. Set up turrets and radio for backup from Alpha Base. Start setting up barricades!" His orders were obeyed. Twenty Tanks drove into ditches so only their turrets were above ground level. A large army of LRVs, commonly known as Warthogs, rolled out, some.with Gauss Cannons instead of Chainguns. Locke spotted three Vultures go up into the sky, followed by twenty Pelivans and an army of Hornets. Vultures were by far the most dangerous things on the battlegrounds. Barricades and turrets were set up. Now, they could only wait for the enemy to arrive. Locke and Dutch sat down with Sergeant Johnson.

Faith, too, sat down to await the approaching battle, hoping that it wouldn't be her last. Demonspawns... she shuddered, knowing more than most what exactly they were capable of. Especially th ones who could use magic, those were the most dangerous. Faith began to drawn on the power of the circlet, as golden armor crept up her neck and covered her whole body. At the champron, was embedded a symbol every Chaos Minion would recognize on sight. A single white five petal flower. She turned to look at Locke and Dutch. "If you have more of those machines, I suggest you reply them now, there's a magic wielding demonspawn coming after us. It will be ruthless, powerful and deadly, even for me. Mostly because of cryomancy and my starvation, but still dangerous. It could roast you. Or send you pummeling your brother in arms. Or displace your heart, I wouldn't know which it would do so be on guard... and try not to die."

"Well, we're gonna die." one soldier said. Johnson looked at him. "Are you hurt, marine?" he asked. "N-no sir." the soldier replied. "Good. Let me tell you a story." the Sergeant said. Locke knew Johnson. Morale.was about to go sky high. "Back in my day," the Sergeant started. "We didn't have any fancy schnancy tanks." They waited for his next words. "WE HAD STICKS!" he barked. Locke smiled. Nearly everyone else clapped. "Yeah that's right." Johnson continued. "Two sticks and a rock for the entire platoon. AND WE HAD TO SHARE THE ROCK!" This time, Locke joined in with the clapping. "Consider yourself some Lucky marines." the Sergeant finished. Locke looked at him and nodded. It was the abiloty to laugh in times like these that boosted morale.

"How the hell would you even share the blasted rock?" Faith asked as she saw some of the enemies. "Tell me Dutch, Locke, do your modifications have better sight as one of them?"

"Yeah. And Johnson's a war hero. He does this to boost morale, not literally." they answered simultaneously. Just then, the auto-cannons started firing. "Dutch, with me." Locke said. "Any ODSTs as well. Rest of you, stay here." Dutch and Locke moved of to the barricades, along with twenty other marines. "What's your target practice score?" Locke asked. "Ninety six outta hundred." Dutch replied. "That had better go up in this shoot-out." Locke pointed out.
