(Yeah, I really don't. Give me a second to put it through translation. Okay, got it.)

"Damn straight, you don't." Locke said. Dutch raised an eyebrow, but didn't asked Locke what had been said. At least, not out loud.

Faith glared at Locke, the fell light in her eyes positively murderous. "Alright, I completely forgot he's pretty much a linguist." Faith muttered. "And you are not?" Sliuril jibed. "A hundred years gets really boring, you know."

"We don't have time for this. I need to get my squad prepped. You guys can hit the road." Locke said. "Sir." Dutch replied in affirmative.

"Of course." Sliuril replied. She stepped into the shadows and disappeared. Faith rolled her eyes, and muttered, "Showoff." She turned to the General, and smirked. "Lover boy." She said in German.

"What?" The General asked, confused.

Locke looked at the soldiers in front of him. The ODSTs was a full volunteer outfit and you had to be a special type of crazy to join up. The majority of the job was being literally shot from space onto the planet, behind enemy lines, ahead enemy lines, on enemy lines, with nothing but five inches of Titanium - A between you and thousands of degrees centigrade.
"Let's suit up! We got the hard job today, soldiers: we gotta sit and wait on one of the ships." Locke barked.
"Which one, sir?" A young ODST asked.
"The 'Forward Unto Dawn'. Let's get this show on the road. In a few minutes, they were outside and once they were secured inside the transport Pelican, the door closed and they took off.

(Damn.)

Sliuril appeared outside the barracks, near enough to the liftoff field to see the Pelican loft off, but not quite near enough to be affected by the gusts of wind it would produce. I wonder why I destroyed the ORIONs? I remember Faith being captured, but that's it... why did I destroy them? They were like children to me... children I never could have had... I trained them, made them into what they were... I handpicked some of them...

"Let's move!" Dutch shouted to Sliuril and jogged into the forest. "We got a long walk ahead of us." He muttered.

"Walk? You mean flight, right?" Faith asked, as she took to the sky, soaring up until the clouds covered her. Sliuril smiled as she took off after Dutch, her longer legs allowing her to simply stride and keep up with Dutch.

"The General said flying would be too risky. We don't need the Chaos forces shooting bolts at us before we can explain why we're there." Dutch said.

"Then teleport there. It's not like they can bar our passage. Even the most talented casters have no luck with ancient runes." Sliuril offered. "Though just so you know, the feeling is the same as when you enter a teleportation pod - that is what you get for basing technology off of magic." Faith dropped down behind the Elf, silent as a shadow. "Don't take her up on the offer." Faith warned.

"Okay. Let's not do that. I'll just sprint." Dutch muttered, breaking into a very fast run.

Sliuril followed, breaking into a steady, rhythmic jog to keep up with Didact. Faith was large enough that it didn't matter if she jogged or ran, she would still be as fast as the other two with her.

Locke, meanwhile, was standing in the cockpit behind the pilot, looking at the control panel, in case something went wrong. "ETA?" He asked the pilot. "Ten minutes." The pilot replied.

"So, how far away are we?" Faith asked Dutch.

" Thirteen hours." Dutch replied. "You like word games? It's what Locke and I always did on long journeys."

"Alright, unscramble this word. rinffigi." Faith said.

(The answer is griffin if you need it. I actually have no idea what word games are.)

(Well, riddles, unscrambling, that sort of stuff.)

Dutch ' s HUD started unscrambling automatically, but he turned it off. He thought for a while. "Griffin?" He asked.

Jack paced up and down, his boots clanking with every step. The Far-Seers had informed him that one of the two metal soldiers, a dragon and an elf had set off towards the base he was in.
