(Okay then, keep the high ranking ones for interrogation! Sheesh!)

Locke and Dutch headed for the General's quarters. "How do you think it's gonna go?" Dutch asked. "Let's take into account the thousands of dead soldiers, billions of credits will be needed for repairs, the overall cost of repairing both our armors accounting for seventy five percent of that... in short, better than usual."

(Oh don't worry, they won't jailbreak...)

Sliuril and Faith followed Dutch and Locke. Plus, Sliuril wanted to have 'a word' with the General, for some reason she wouldn't divulge to Faith.

As they walked, they passed a tall lady in ORION II armor. "Commander Palmer." Locke said. "Commander Locke." the woman replied. "How's the squad?" Locke asked. "Dead." Palmer replied. "Told you they were useless." Locke said before moving off. Palmer looked at the Elf and Dragon following the two soldiers but said nothing.

Faith stared at the woman as she passed by. 'She smells familiar.' Faith thought at Sliuril. The Elf laughed softly. 'Ah, yes, I might have erased some memories sometime before I died.' She thought back. 'Shame, really.' She mused.

Locke stopped in front of a door and knocked. "Come in!l came a voice. Locke opened the door and went in, followed by Dutch. "Sit." the General said. He was looking out the window. "The chairs won't take our armor's weight, sir. We'll stand." Locke said. "Very well." Whitcomb said. Stil, he started out of the window. Judging by a long cut down the side of his head, not two mention the two goblin bodies in the corner and a slightly smoking revolver on his desk, the General's quarters had been breached.

'I just realized that goblin commanders aren't the only ones skilled at battle.' Faith commented as she saw the gun, the bodies and the human. She moved closer to inspect the body. 'Odd. These two were high-ranking Goblin warriors.' She thought softly. 'And yet a revolver took them out... with a single bullet, from the looks of it.'

'Odd indeed.'

(Damn auto-correct. You're going to have to excuse any mistakes.)

"We've come here to debreif." Locke said. "What's there to say? The attack came from the south: Castle Base. That's your next stop. You'll have to go through the forest. You're less likely to get spotted. A lot of goblins escaped. They know we have a dragon and an Elf." Whitcomb finally turned around. "Speaking of the Elf..."

"I'm gonna have a talk about that with her soon. Better sooner than later." Locke said.

"Yes." Whitcomb said. "One last question. Where the hell did the Elf come from?" he asked.

"What comes from fire returns to fire." Sliuril answered, though her attention was focused somewhere else, somewhere across the island of Order. "And Dicsord will not be your only problem soon enough."

"Really?" asked the General. "I hope, for your sake, you mean something other than you." he continued.
Locke sighed. The General had never been one for trust, let alone forgiveness.

Sliuril gave the general a wry grin. "I assure you, once this threat emerges, I will be the least of your problems. It is an ancient creature, even by the count of my kin. It is, in fact, one of the Eldar Creatures. And it is absolutely furious at living things." She explained, or stated.

(Eldar Creatures: Creatures from the dawn of creation itself, very powerful and only grows more powerful with age. There are a total of seven of these creatures, the Elf, the Dragon, the Lion, the Immortal Human, the Mech, the Basilisk, and the Pegasus. [Yes, that one. The one which belongs to Hercules.] All are extremely dangerous when roused, and wither way they're immortal, nigh unkillable for most, and ridiculously hard to wound.)

The General raised an eyebrow. "Really? You mean one of my bedtime stories has come to life?" he asked. "Supposing I do believe you, which of the Eldars has risen?" he asked.

"The Dragon." Sliuril answered, ignoring the jibe the General had said. "The most dangerous and powerful of all seven." She muttered the last part. "Now, I believe that your soldiers intended to talk to me?" She asked, though the question was more for the ORIONs than anyone else.

"Yes. Locke said. "I wanted to talk about sixty eight dead ORIONs, plus any number of soldiers, in a hangar, twelve years ago. I wanted to talk about how and why you killed my soldiers when they were only firing in self-defence." he continued. "I'm not gonna hold you to something you did back then. I just want to know."

"Then next time, don't take my dragon." Sliuril growled at Locke. "Cheer up. I placed trackers on all of you, in several places at once, even one at your brains somewhere - don't ask how I did that, you do not want to know - and I know precisely where the girl is." Sliuril seemed amused at the look the General was wearing.

"I know where Kelly is too. But does anyone know where Dr. Halsey is?" Locke it.sked. "She kidnapped you." The General said. "Handpicked you at a young age."

Locke remembered. He had been five, playing King of the Hill with his friends. Of course, he had the hill. As he threw another friend off, a woman came over. "Jameson, I need a word with you." she had taken him aside. Locke had held out a hand and she shook it. "What were you doing?" she asked, examining his black eye and bleeding lip.
"Winning." Locke had answered. The woman had smiled. "What else do you play?"
"Nothing. Board games are too easy for me and they banned me from GravBall. But if you asked them..." he had said hopefully. "No. But I have a game for you." She had taken out a coin. "Look at this. One side has a head, the other-"
"An eagle."
"Yes. You have to guess which side it will land on. If you win, you can keep it." She threw the coin into the air. Locke snatched it up before it hit the ground and said "Eagle." He opened his palm. The eagle looked up at them. "Let's play again." Locke had said. "That was the only one I had." the woman said. Then she walked over to a man, Lieutenant Lasky, and said "Tell me you recorded that." But Locke hadn't cared. He had run back to his friends, waving the coin.

Then he realised that the evacuation ship he had gotten onto had gone in a different direction from the others. He contemplated this new information.

"Of course I do." Sliuril huffed. "I fact, you've already met her." She added. It feels weird to talk about myself in third person. She mused. Faith tilted extracted her head from the carcass of the goblins, tilting her head at the Elf, who smiled in response.

"Okay." Locke said. "Can I ask something?" Dutch said.
"Not like I'm gonna say no."
"Why did me and Locke survive?" Dutch asked Sliuril.

Sliuril shrugged. "Most likely, you were plain lucky. For further information, I tend to kill whatever gets in my way once I get really angry - no toying, just plain ripping minds and impaling things. Faith is much the same, though she eats souls instead of killing them. Which means that whoever she kills will never be reincarnated."

Faith grunted as she pulled out a bullet from the goblin carcass. It was odd for a bullet, with runes carved into it. "Poisoned bullets." Faith said, as she spat it out. "I commend you, General. Dragonsbane, too. It would have killed a full-grown dragon with one shot."

"Don't mess with them." the General advised. "Okay, Locke, you go up to the space-station with a squad of ODSTs. Dutch, Dragon and Elf go through the forest towards the other base to negotiate. First sign of trouble, Locke and his squad will drop. Dismissed."

Sliuril's lips twitched at the familiar behavior of the General. She supposed that he, for a mortal at least, had lived for longer than he ought to have. That is to say, he was too old for his own good. "Of course. Faith, ela. Watashitachiha, kakikomu jōyaku o motte imasu." (We have a treaty to write). Faith rolled her eyes, which produced the effect of her eyes glowing dim and bright and dim again. "Bien sûr, nous faisons. Und dieses Mal kann ich einen imbiss?" Faith replied. "No." Sliuril replied.

(If you don't know what they're speaking, the elf uses some Greek and also Japanase, while Faith uses German and French. You'll know which is which.)
