Skye nodded as she ran, not flew to where Galadriel was. Galadriel
leaned on Skye, tired and exhausted from the mental battle.
"Go. Go." She urged Skye, glancing back at Sauron. She knew the
Dark Lord could not be destroyed. She stayed there. Skye tried to
pull her along. Galadriel winced as Sauron was struck by another
bolt of lightning. She understood Galadriel's plan.
"I'm not letting you kill yourself." Skye stated the obvious.
"I am not asking for your-" Galadriel began but Skye cut her off
with a well-placed pinch. Sauron, too, seemingly fell asleep. Skye
smiled. It was faint, but it was there.
"I had no idea that would even work." She muttered happily to
herself. She glanced at Didact.
The Didact pressed a button on his helmet. The Approach stopped in
the hole in the wall. "Get on." He said. He stepped behind the
controls. "Bring shields up, ready the thrusters and arm the
starboard Archer Missile Pods."
"Aye, sir." The AI replied. "Quickly." said the Didact, gesturing
for Skye and Galadriel to get on.

Skye quickly slipped Nenya off Galadriel's fingers. She put it on,
and chanelling the newfound power, teleported both of them onto the
Mantle's Approach. She nodded at Didact, slipping the ring of Power
back to Galadriel's finger. She was unconscious, but Skye knew
Galadriel knew about her little deed. At any rate, she would once
she looked into the past. Galadriel would hopefully stay asleep for
half an hour.
"Get us out of here." The Didact said. "Five hundred units for one
hundred kilometres and then take us down to three hundred." The AI
followed his commands. "Scan a two hundred meter radius. Anything
following?"
"Negative, sir."
"Good." The Didact turned around. "If you have a destination, or
need to find something out about the ship, tell the AI. I'm gonna
go make repairs to my armor." He walked off towards his private
quarters.

"Galadriel, I hope you realize you are still a fool." Skye said, as
she looked at the Elf. She knew what Galadriel had done. In a way,
she supposed she knew nearly as much as Tolkien, or perhaps even
more, about Middle-Earth. Many times, she had experienced dreams in
Middle Earth. Back then, she didn't know they were actually real
scenes from Middle-Earth. Now though, she knew better. She knew if
she wanted to, she could reach out and see Middle-Earth. Skye
closed her eyes.
Elves frantically ran about, carrying tomes and herbs. To and
fro they ran, never bumping into each other. They ran swift as the
wind, with a panic never before seen in the Eldar. In the middle of
the chaos were Gandalf the White and Celeborn, Lord of Lorien.
Gandalf had several books hovering in front of him, pages flipping
rapidly. Celeborn however was talking grimly to an Elf about the
situation. Skye had no idea what they said, as they spoke in a very
rapid form of Elven Speech.
Then, Celeborn stumbled, as he fell. He clutched his chest, as if
he was in pain. Gandalf took notice of this. He quickly summoned
two Elves, and watched as Celeborn was carried away. Then, he
looked straight at Skye.
'Bring her back. If you care about any of us, please, bring her
back.' He begged at Skye. Fear and sadness, doubt and worry, and
hope were present in his eyes.
'I cannot, Gandalf. If I could, I would do it in a heartbeat. Even
if it meant my death, or Earth's death. But I can't, and I'm sure
you know that too. Mithradil, there is no use for hope this time. I
cannot return her, and she cannot return herself.' Skye said, as
all faded to black.
Skye opened her eyes. She glanced around the room. It felt stupid,
but she spoke anyway. "AI, can you show me where to find medical
supplies?"
(Right... we're on Didact's ship, Skye had just had a vision of
Middle-Earth, Didact is in his room fising his armor, Galadriel is
injured and passed out.)
Quill woke up thanks to Murphy's licks to his face. "Hey quit it...
Wow, what happened?" Quill got up. He remembers being entangled in
Mithril and he passed out.
"Hi Quill. Glad to see you're awake. Do you know where I can get
some bandages? And some... er... whatever soothes burns. Galadriel
was burned quite a bit during the battle." Skye asked.
Quill rubbed his head and grabbed his bag. He took out a piece of
aloe vera and some used bandages. "Anything else? The Aloe Vera is
the only thing to heal burns." Murphy jumped unto the Aloe Vera and
began to bite it.
"Please follow the green marks to the Medi-Bay." Said the AI. Green
marks appeared on the floor, leading through a hatch to the left
and to the hallway beyond that.
The Didact sighed as sparks came off his armor. He referred to his
HUD. He had managed to bring it up to the fifty percent mark. He
had also patched up his broken ribs. He continued with the repairs.
A walk in the park. A milk run. A recconisance. the Didact
remembered what the Councillors had said.

"Thank you." Skye said, sarcasm thick in her voice. She quickly
finished rubbing the Aloe Vera on Galadriel's burns, and then
dashed to the Madi-Bay, looking for a splint for herself.
The AI seemed to be immune to sarcasm. "You're welcome!" It replied
cheerily.
The Didact finished replacing his armor. With the help of a
Accelerated Tissue Replacement Machine, some welders and depleting
one of the energy spare energy cores, he had managed to more or
less fully repair his armor. Though it was heavy to put on piece by
piece, when it all came together, the weight disappeared. He
marvelled at the effectiveness of the MJOLNIR Power Armor. It was
like being a walking starship. He walked back into the control
room. "Anything new?" He asked the AI. "No sir."
"Then enable Active Camoflague and set us down in that
clearing."
The AI obeyed wordlessly.

"I swear, AI are so annoying..." Skye muttered, as she entered the
Medi-Bay. There, she quickly constructed a makeshift splint for her
broken wings. She mentally thanked whatever powers that be that
most Mutants were in fact less capable of feeling pain.
Carloti had been hunting for food when she first caught sight of
the strange ship. She'd never seen anything like it before but it
certainly seemed powerful. It probaly wasn't one of her best ideas
but she decided to investigate. Strapping on her makeshift wings
and begins to glide after the ship, using her control of air to
keep from falling. Maybe there would be more people inside, it had
been so long since she'd seen another person, she thought to her
self wistfully.
"Touchdown." Said the AI. The Didact dropped the ramp and stepped
outside. He sweeped the immediate area. Deciding it was clear, he
gestured that it was safe to come off. They a were in a clearing,
somewhere in the middle of a jungle. The Didact looked around. He
took two steps forward and jumped up and down on the spot... and
fell straight through the ground. "As I thought." He muttered,
getting up and dusting himself off. He flicked a switch and lights
came on, revealing lots of dusty Forerunner machinery and weapons.

"Am I going to get an explanation from you, or will I have to
search your mind?" Galadriel said, as she quietly walked behind
Didact. Her eyes were softly glowing, actively searching for other
life forms. She found one. A Mutant.
"It seems we have company." She softly said. 'Skye, where are
you? We have company.'
"Third assault for Earth, millions of years ago. The Forerunners
threw this together as a temporary base. Hasn't changed much." He
said. He flicked another switch and panels lining the walls came
online. "Scanning. Please confirm identity." Beeped an AI.
"Ur-Didact and friends." He said. After a second of whirring, the
AI replied. "Confirmed. Welcome back." said the AI. "Security
systems up."
"Thank you, Roland, that'll be all." The Didact said, referring to
the AI by name.
