The Didact heard the rumble and considered if there had been a minor earthquake. He jerked his thumb over his shoulder at a room leading away from the main base control center. "Food's through there. It's canned, take a can opener as well. Then you can, believe it or not, get the hell outta here. Just like that." He said, snapping his fingers once. "We'll just stay in the considerable comfort of a heavily defended ship and base."

'Skye will be fine, provided she doesn't somehow break the sleeping spell I put her under.' Galadriel replied. 'Hopefully, she can help Middle-Earth while she heals.'

Carloti stopped and blinked in suprise. " um seriously just like that no strings attached?" no one gave food away for free theses day. Food was hard to come by unless you where a good huntre and canned food was especially rare.

"Are you trying to make him attach some?" Galadriel asked Carloti, withholding herself from using her mind.

"Yep, no strings. What, you didn't think I'd go half way across the universe and back without food, did you? And this food was here since the third assault on Earth and is still fresh. Enough to sustain a small army for years. Quiet honestly, I don't care." He said. Good. he silently told Galadriel.

"You brought-" Galadriel began, before she stopped herself. "Atually, I believe I would rather not know. At least, not right now."

The world of Middle Earth shaped itself around her. Skye was once again floating in the air. Gandalf noticed her. His eye were grim and dark, downcast. He knew what was about to happen. He knew what had transpired. But others did not. Galadriel did not.

"Skye." He greeted the Mutant. "I hope you can do a favor for me." He said. There was no use dancing round the issue. Lady Galadriel would just get mad. If she was even capable of that. Skye stared at him, urging the wizard to continue.

"It's about Celeborn. He... he passed away earlier this day." Gandalf said, head hung low. Skye moved closer.
"I know." She whispered. "I'm afraid, Gandalf. Afraid of the future, and what it might hold. But... I'll tell Galadriel when I can. She put me under a sleeping spell." Gandalf nodded.
"Thank you." He said, as the world faded to black.

"Yes 'I brought'. Fruits, canned foods, a few spinebeasts... The usual. Though I expect they won't really be usual for you guys." He sighed. Suddenly, he heard a twig snap. At the same time, a proximity sensor went off. "We have company." The Didact said, taking out his Scattershot. "And I've already killed it twice."

(Oh yeah, This is what his weapons look like. Description with each.)

"Not again..." Galadriel muttered, as the Apex reared it's ugly head. For the fifth time, after she killed it. Not counting Skye and Didact. She quickly retrieved her armor from the ether, as it shimmered and appeared. She once again was clothed in her battle garb. "And to think I had hoped once to never wear this again." The Apex let loos an ear shattering roar. It charged towards Galadriel, who simply teleported away.

"Please..." He shot at it. "Die..." It fell. "Properly!" Got back up. "What the hell is wrong with you?" He asked, pummelling shots into the beast. "How was this thing even created?" He asked, rolling out of the way of a swipe from the Apex's tail.

'Ask Skye. By my guess it was a twisted abomination of misused magic, but honestly magic doesn't really exist on Earth.' Galadriel replied, as she appeared above the Apex, only to shoot a dozen missiles at it.

"How fast is this thing?"asked the Didact. He ducked under a swipe from the beast and shot it once in the stomach, sliding under the Apex. He proceeded to shoot it once in either eye. Out of no where, a giant paw came out and scratched his armor. It fell to ninety two percent.

'Very fast.' Galadriel answered, as she formed six more fireballs, which burned the Apex. 'I really wish Skye were here... She might actually be able to kill this thing without using half her energy.' The Apex roared, and changed it's prey to her. In response, Galadriel sung. The trees responded, as they grew and bound the Apex.

Carloti stayed out of the fight at first she'd not seen a creature this strong before or of this size. Self presavation told her to forget the free food and get the hell out of there But theses people had made her an offer that was kinder then most would theses days. The least she could do was try help out. Wipping up a localised wind storm around her body as a razor sharp defence she jumped into the fray.

'Didact, duck!' Galadriel shouted into Didact's mind as she sent a blast of amgic towards the Apex. Predoctably, the giant wplf turned towards her and roared.

Skye woke up to the sounds of battle outside. Oh, and the Apex's roaring. It tore through the sky like lightning, loud and clear.

The Didact swore. "No chance of outrunning it." He saw an Energy Sword nearby. He lunged for it and picked it up. "If it must be close quarters combat..." He muttered.

"If it must be, then silt it's throat!" Galadriel yelled, as she drew her own sword. It was forged especially for her, during her first few years in Lorien. Now though, it was a long gone memory.

She charged at the Apex, sword glinting against the rays of the sun. The Apex however was occupied with Didact. She took the chance. Galadriel lunged at the Apex's exposed throat, and with a quick slice, the deed was done. The Apex crumbled into dust.

"Okay, Roland, sweep this up and scatter the dust inside the base. As soon as we're out, lock the base down. Make sure the creature doesn't get out." The Didact said. The AI complied. "Once more onto the Approach." Said the Didact, stepping out of the base and onto the ship.

"And let us hope that it does not escape." Galadriel said, as she boarded the ship after Didact. Her armor had once again disappeared.

"Should delay it at the very least." The Didact said. He turned around and looked at Carloti. "You coming it not?" He asked. Suddenly he saw something that drew his full attention. It was a thin piece of light green materiel. "No..." He muttered. He picked it up and put it in a scanner on the Approach. He hoped against all hope it wasn't what he thought it was.

(I swear, this scene was better, but no, inter had to f***ing crash!!!)

“What’s that?” Skye asked Didact, staring at the strange green material in his hands. She had no clue what it was. Galadriel, too, was curious to what exactly the object was. She controlled her curiosity, though. If the object had Didact of all people worried, then she should also treat it with caution. Skye looked at Galadriel. She remembered the promise she made to Gandalf.
Galadriel, I have news from Middle Earth. And it’s not good. It’s about Celeborn. He… he’s dead.
“What? No… Skye, please, please I can’t-“ Galadriel pleaded, as she looked at Skye
Skye shook her head. “It’s not a joke. What I said…” Galadriel collapsed on the wall, sobbing. She didn’t bother anymore. What was the point? Celeborn was gone, all because she wasn’t there to help him.
