"No, I just can't leave you both," said Kyle.
"Are you an idiot, Kyle? Just put your things at the tent," said Cassius.
"But, ..." said Kyle.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine," said Cassius.
Then, Cassius watches them to go inside the tent.
"So, where do you come from?" said Cassius.
No longer here.
"Perryville, Kentucky," She finally told him. "I...can you please help me? I don't want anyone to get hurt and a lot of people will get hurt unless I can reach my father."
After Kyle, Paul and Isaac prepared their things in their tents, Isaac went outside, watching Cassius talking to the girl.
"Kyle, Paul. You must watch this," said Isaac.
Kyle and Paul went outside the tent.
"Look. Cassius did it, big time," said Isaac.
Kyle, Isaac and Paul watched Cassius talking to the girl.
"I guess Cassius has a hidden talent on his sleeves," said Paul.

She stomped her in defiance, daring him to tell her she was insane to be friends with a girl like that. She glared at the other men who paused and stared at her.
"It's not right! She is better then all of you put together!" She told them.
"As for why I'm here," she said, looking the boy in the eye, "I am a nurse. Because I decided to be nice and care for anyone, regardless of sides, I was taken prisoner. One of the men I help took me captive and here I am! Because I am Evangelina Lovelace. My father is one of the highest ranking men in the Union Army! And a great man who fights for what is right!"
She stomped her foot again, emphases. She didn't care that her mother would look at her ashamed and disappointed with the way she'd just talked to them. But Evangelina was furious with the way she had been treated. She was tired, hungry and wanted to take a long hot bath. Her stomach rumbled then, letting everyone know she hadn't eaten in a few days.
Cassius whispered to Evangelina's ears.
"Oh look, Cassius is doing it," said Isaac.
No longer here.
Then, Cassius moves his mouth further to her mouth.
"Got it?" said Cassius seriously.
No longer here.
"I'm doing this, because I don't want any other United States' individual to know what we are doing," whispered Cassius. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you," Cassius added.
Cassius moves farther to her ears.
"Wow, he's doing it," said Isaac.
No longer here.
"I saw...you in my dream the other night. You shot my dad in the shoulder and then didn't kill him. You ran off and outside, a Union Officer killed you..." Evangelina told him.
"What? Why are you being so problematic about that? It was just a dream. It will never happened," said Cassius. "You are weird, girl," Cassius added.
While Isaac, Paul and Kyle watches them both.

"All I know is that it was terribly real to me! If you don't want to take extra precautions to protect yourself, fine. But at least I warned you," She told him. Who was he to call her weird! He was fighting for slavery.
"I'll get out on my own, thank you very much!" She began to twist her wrists, causing them to chaff and be cut on the metal.
She looked at him again, still working the cuffs. If she could just...
"OW!" She cried out. She'd cut a deep gouge into the side of her wrist. It stung and she didn't have anything to clean it with! Worry about infection set in. She'd seen enough young men die of gangrene.
Cassius goes to the tent, when he saw them, watching them both.
"Are you spying on us?" questioned Cassius seriously.
"No. We were just watching you," said Isaac.
"It still called 'spying', Isaac," said Cassius. "Move aside."
Cassius went inside the tent, grabs his water bottle and goes out of the tent.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa," said Isaac, blocking Cassius. "Are you gonna help that raccoon?" said Isaac.
"Yes, now, move aside," said Cassius.
"Stop it right there, Cassius. Don't you think you can help her escape," said Isaac.
"What? No! I'm just gonna hydrate her. ... Now, please, ... move aside," said Cassius.
Cassius shove Isaac and Cassius moves closer to Evangelina. Cassius opens the water bottle cap and drink her that water bottle.
"I'm doing this, because I don't want any other Union individuals here in Confederate States. That's illegal for me. I hate those," said Cassius.
No longer here.
"You're not going to get in trouble for this, are you?" She asked, turning to look back at him. "I don't want you to be punished for helping me. Your very nice for helping me. I...wish we hadn't meet during a war."
She looked at her wrist, "Is there something I can use to clean and bandage this? I hate to ask, but if I don't clean it, they won't have to worry about me getting away. I'll be dead in a week if infection sets in."
"Second, I don't care I get in trouble. I have a plan," said Cassius answering Evangelina's second question. "And, I wish I wouldn't meet you, because I got problems here, too," added Cassius.
"And lastly, I'm neither a doctor nor a nurse, I have no skills in recovery and stuff," said Cassius.
Then, Cassius gets the bottle and closes the cap tightly.
"Okay," Cassius nears his mouth to Evangelina's ear.
"Go get some sleep, okay?" said Cassius.

She looked down at the ground. If she kept her hands above her head, maybe she could sit. She tried to sit, but all of the hoops and pleats of her dress prevented sitting. She decided to just stand back up. Maybe she could just watch the stars. She looked up and tried to imagine she was home.
Suddenly, Gen. Erickson shouted to the armies.
"All soldiers must be on the center of the camp for our meeting," said Lt. Gen. Erickson.
"Oh shoot, I have to go now. Just pretend that you need to get out of this post," said Cassius and left before Evangelina started to speak. Cassius went to their tent.
"Cassius, what happened there?," said Isaac.
"I just drank her water," said Cassius.
"And, why are you both eavesdropping?" said Isaac.
"Because she want to break free and leave this camp. She want me to help her, but I refused," said Cassius, seriously, but ironically.
"Yep, that's the Cassius we know," said Isaac.
Then, the officials entered the camp and went to the middle of the camp to see Evangelina's condition.

She watched him walk away sadly. As much as she didn't know him, he was the only person there she felt she could trust. She hadn't even gotten his name. She looked around and noticed Lt. Gen. Erickson look between her and that boy.
