As many have noticed, the suggestions forum has become rather repetitive, or in some cases, downright awful.

Here, I am suggesting a userlevel limit before suggesting anythng, such as level 15-20 and above.

Quote from NessyIt would greatly benefit the suggestions if every user was at least level 15. This would allow them access to all parts of the site, so that they may become aware of what is available before making any suggestion that would be able to benefit the site

Quote from Nepetu
I support greatly. A lot of users seem to not realize what PH is, and thus making the stupidest suggestions. Good for laughs, but still annoying to see. A user level limit would definitely help, so that they have time to understand what PH is and what it offers before they make ridiculous suggestions.

Quote from JustMe4031
For the users who haven't been on for long enough, but have an idea they want to suggest, they could talk to another user, who has a high enough level, who could make the suggestion for them if they think it is a good idea. For example: Matt the newbie has an idea for tidying up the gem exchange. Matt the newbie tells David the lvl 30 user about his idea. David agrees that it is a good idea and makes the suggestion on Matts behalf.

Edit for more clarity: So when you reach trainerlevel 15-20, it "unlocks" the ability to post in the suggestions forum.

But, I also think there should be a account age limit, like a few weeks. Because people can easily get to level 15 in a few days if they really wanted to, and still not get PH and thus still get some stupid suggestions. So maybe a limit of two weeks of existing on PH before posting a suggestion would also be beneficial. :3

Support, but I think level 15 is enough.

No support
It would be highly unfair to users below those levels, such as me. The users might have great ideas and not be able to post them!

@Grandfatherclock, then why don't you level up? Learn the site's rules and works before you even think of making a suggestion. That's the point of this.

But, as case has shown, many users below level 15 who make suggestions make suggestions of features we already have.

You could write down your suggestion and post it when level 15 after unlocking it.

I support this 269%

This could definitely prevent the flat out dumb suggestions such as having text-to-speech in the Game Center for blind people and other SPAM-like suggestions.

But what if the leveling up is going too slow like for me? What happens then? What if you lose the paper for your idea? :/

Yesss support, obviously. I'm in full realization that there are lower leveled users with cool suggestions, but most low leveled users have little experience. And they can wait anyway, if they have such good ideas, someone is bound to post a suggestion on them eventually.
I reconsidered a little and maybe level 17? They should have had enough experience in a good amount of features, and since you unlock the tunnel at 15, 17-20 seems fair. I also like Adeptus' account age limit.
(Also people, refrain from just posting "support". Only make a post if you have ideas for the suggestion or reasons why you like it. The poll under the front post is there to decrease posts that don't really contribute. Friendly reminder.)

@Grandfatherclock,

Well, work harder at it then :b
It's not really that hard in the first place honestly.
We just don't want people who don't know how the site works yet making suggestions because usually they're fairly unnecessary and not well thought out and such.

GrandfatherClock - maybe instead of using paper, use a word processor on your computer? Or ... make yourself a journal, and put it there with the title "Test" so you can hold it until later

At first I thought about how there's a lot of newbie's with potentially good ideas that could never be suggested. But looking good at the suggestion forum, it seems to me like those are basically the real gold in the junkyard. In other words, they're exceptionally rare. I think it'd be a good idea to have a level 15-20 limit to weed out the troll accounts sort of.

Neptu: I disagree about the age limit, though. People could just lie about their age and that would be sort of a stereotypical thing to do (stereotyping all kids as immature and all adults as mature).

Di, I did not mean like actual age, I meant how long you've had the account xD

Oh. Unless it counts time of activity, I don't feel like that'll help either.

EDIT: Maybe have a combination: Like has to have been here for at least 15 days and be trainer level 15.

Yeah, 30 or 40, maybe 50 activity hours would be a good idea too.
