Quote from AxiciaBut, to prevent abuse, maybe a kind of timer like the username change could be implemented? Like, change gender every x days. While the timer won't really make the feature abuse disappear and it might inconvenience the genderfluid, but at least it will help curb the abuse.

I don't think a timer is necessary.

When riako implemented being able to change your gender between male and female the first time, the people trying to "troll" or "abuse" it gave up after a day because no one cared.

This time around, it'll be the same. Those who intend to abuse it will get bored after a few days, and those who are genderfluid will be able to enjoy it to their full capabilities

And those like me who don't identify with a gender can finally (somewhat) escape from having to declare we are something that we are not

If you can read this, you know how to read.

Active comunity or not Noctis i dub that people talk about their gender ( as i said is not a datin game)in any feeds they talk about raffles prizez trades or simply how was their day .And you really think its ok to be bullyed for something thats not your fault ? I agree that is not the persons fault for hidding" The gender" but that Will automatly attract unecesary atrention and a lot of bullying for them so it creates just trouble .My point is that the gender doesnt affect the way you play the game so its usless noone cares about the gender this thing its all about pokemons . I just said my opinion and its no need for anyone to attak me because they think different . I Will never use that usless thing but i am ok whit other persons doing it . So i hope it Will make others happy

Been trying to not post on this suggestion. Neutral on it.

@EclipsaTheQueenOfDark
Gender has nothing to do with dating in my opinion? Sure, you could be attracted to a gender but that's it. I don't see how it could be inappropriate[as in not suitable] for a social website. I, a nonbinary person talks to other users about the subject of genders as a conversation topic to know that I'm not alone, that there are others like me aswell and that makes me happy. I'm sure others agree, being with those that understands you on a website where you have fun. Doesn't matter if users tend to post feeds about raffles, how was their day, yadda yadda, users can talk about what they want no matter what is it, as long as it doesn't remove others' right of free speech. That's a thing, right?

Someone causes unnecessary troubles and discriminating users for doing something they want and comfortable with? Report them, this site is better off without them. It's not 'drama is going to happen', it's why it would happen and why it would happen is because some users doesn't accept that there's a thing called privacy and having anxiety being forced into a binary gender when they don't feel like it.

I understand that this going to be implemented soon but I don't want to just keep quiet while ignorant users state their probably bigoted opinions. Can't change your thoughts but I have the rights to state the wrongs in it. By the way, no one is attacking you. You state your opinions and others disagree with it, it's life.

would be okay with the hide gender option. i understand some users want to protect their privacy in the internet. don't get the point about the fakers since you can also fake your gender without another option. people who want to fake, will fake. i support the idea since it helps users who don't feel comfortable about stating their gender in public.

definitely support this, sounds like a good idea. some people want to keep it a secret, or just don't like people referring to them as he/she or him/her. Hope this gets implemented soon though

Neutral about the whole "gender" thing as I don't like to talk about it. I'm pretty sure that its probably already been suggested but an option when you first join, for "other" and just have no gender symbol instead of picking one and having to hide it later.

Or-

We change "gender" to "sex" since, according to google, the definition is: 2.either of the two main categories (male and female) into which humans and most other living things are divided on the basis of their reproductive functions. (I do know that there is a third one, but its not as big, and I cant remember the name right now)

Whilst "gender" is, as defined by google: 1.the state of being male or female (typically used with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones). (as well as all the non-binary, agender, queer etc etc)

I dont support this, there is only 2 genders in the world, deal with it.
