I have searched quite a bit, and it doesn't appear to me that anybody suggested this before so.. Here's a new suggestion that's hopefully not a bad one! x"D
Displaying Post Edits!
Countless times, I see people editing their posts AFTER I (or somebody else) post something in reply to them, and they don't write anywhere that their post has been edited. In addition to this, I can never see anything on their post that gives away that they edited it, other than the fact that I saw the original post before they edited it. However, as that is not really important, let me get into the important matter:

Scammers and other people of the kind.
It would be greatly helpful to know that they've edited their posts, as I have seen a scammer who promised to pay 250k for a great variety of gems, but ended up editing the post afterwards to 175k pd once the transaction was completed, and ended up sending the 175k pd instead of the 250k pd. However, as the post has been edited and there appears to be no "history" displayed of it in public (I hope moderators can see whether posts were edited or not .w." ), it would help to provide some kind of proof that the post was made by a scammer or something similar.

It would also be nice to know how many times a post has been edited~
E.G. "This post has been edited 2 times."

Of course, this wouldn't just be useful for "scammer" situations, but other situations as well that aren't in my mind at this moment. xD

This pretty much sums up my suggestion, and hopefully some of you people will agree with my messy, complicated, hard-to-understand ideas! >w<

Also, I think to add to this idea, perhaps we could see the old, un-edited version, like a button near the subscribe and new post button, saying
Old Thread
or something!

Guys, I hope you realize by posting things, such as "i agree" has been identified as spamming by riako.

How would this affect shop threads, though? I'd like to know that before voting xD Overall, it seems like a pretty good idea.

I'd really love to see that. I believe that could be very helpful in the forums.

Omnia, I think that's mainly why Betta made this suggestion. She told me that one of her friends was selling a large arrangement of Gems (so this was probably in a forum shop), and a certain user offered 250k for all of the Gems.

Betta's friend agreed to the 250k, but after the certain user had received the Gems, he only sent 175k, and THEN he edited his post to make it say 175k, instead of the 250k Betta's friend agreed on and was supposed to receive.

But since there is no way to see if posts have been edited or not, no one could tell if he really did put 250k first and then scam Betta's friend.

Being able to see how many times a post has been edited, and what it was before it was edited, would stop these kinds of scams.

I completly agree with this suggestion and it has my full support! I always find this very useful on any forums because people can easily scam or insult someone than simply edit their post so that it seems like they didn't do it - this would be so helpful for preventing scams/insults and it would make it easier to report those people aswell.

Hmm, wouldn't that take up a lot of space though? For example, I have a weekly raffle. Every time someone buys a ticket, I edit the first post to add their name. Then at the end of the week I edit out all the names and start again. I also have a gem-trade shop, and every time someone exchanges gems with me, I have to edit the first post again. That's a lot of edits for the site to record, and think of the amount of trade shops, art threads, raffles and other contests that would be the same as mine. Couldn't that make the site a lot slower?

I can see the reasoning behind the suggestion, I'm just wondering about how much it could affect the running of the site.

I agree with this, although:
1) It should have a button to show edits
2) It shouldn't affect the first post

Reasons:
1) Reasons stated above, it would get so annoying and laggy
2) Some forum clubs are constantly getting new members and always need to edit the main post. It would take up the entire first page of the thread for some groups!

This is a good idea, but I don't agree with the viewing original post thing. I think it should simply say "Edited at 00:00 or whatever time it gets edited.
Like this, for example:
