''o-oh, okay.. then i guess goodnight'' Viola said, getting up
before she headed upstairs to go to sleep.
Maxwell blushed faintly and leaned back in his chair as he watched
Fallow leave to go sleep, then let his head hit the table as his
face grew a bright red once she was out of sight.
''her adorable innocence is going to be the death of me...'' he
muttered, mostly to himself but was loud enough that Marshall
could've heard him.
Maxwell groaned and sat up a bit, covering his face.
''and i'm not used to being in a room alone with Fallow....! i was
blushing like a complete idiot, and still am...'' he muttered.
"I've found that the most successful of relationships are obtained
through honesty," the Fantasy said happily, turning the faucet to
the hottest that it would go. "What are you afraid of? It's quite
clear that you trust each other." He rubbed his cheek quickly on
his shoulder and returned to washing.
''i-i'm not afraid of anything, just... more embarrassed... since i
told Fallow to come down before me so i could be alone upstairs for
a moment... kinda had a bit of a problem...'' he muttered.
Draco had wondered back down into the kitchen and went over to the
fridge, opening it up to see if there was a cold drink he could
grab while chuckling quietly.
''he's basically saying he's had his first dirty thought about
Fallow'' he said, grabbing a can of soda out of the fridge.
Maxwell looked up at his brother and grabbed a spoon that was was
left on the table, chucking it at Draco as his face grew an even
brighter red.
Draco laughed and caught the spoon before it hit him.
''see Marshall? he's too embarrassed about even mentioning he had
his first little dirty thought'' he said.
Marshall burst out laughing but silenced himself quickly so that
Mavis wouldn't wake. She was out cold and it wouldn't matter
anyways. "To be honest with you, poor Fallow's probably too
innocent to even know."
"Did you check the expiration date on that thing?" He said, eyeing
the soda that Draco had in his hand.
Maxwell simply put his head back on the table and covered his
head.
Draco shrugged and looked at the expiration date on the can.
''it seems fine to me, worst case it'd be flat as heck'' Draco
said.
Marshall only shrugged, "If you say so." He glanced at Maxwell from
the corner of his eye, humming as he washed the dishes. "You're
going to have to go up eventually," he said happily, "I doubt any
of us are willing to switch arrangements at this point. "It's
inevitable or whatever."
Marshall waved at Draco, small drops of water spilling down his
forearm. He didn't seem to care. He turned his back to Maxwell.
"I've certainly had my fair share of awkward moments. And I'm down
here with Mavis, on the other couch. She doesn't like sleeping
alone, anyways," he replied, setting the final dishes to dry.
Fallow perked up as she heard the door open, turning to Maxwell as
she closed the curtains. "Hey, did you know that there's a
bath in the room? I didn't notice it before," she gushed,
looking at the bathtub in the corner. "It's fashioned like a
jacuzzi or something. We've got to try it sometime." She beamed at
him briefly and walked over to the bed, flopping down with an
exasperated sigh.
''um... i don't exactly have swim trunks.... and unless you have a
bathing suit, we'd both we in that thing with nothing on.....''
Maxwell muttered, though now regretting what he said as his face
flushed a faint red.
Fallow only rolled her eyes, slipping under the blankets and
resting her hands behind her head. "I was thinking of underwear as
a substitute," she said, laughing lightheartedly, "and you're red
as a tomato." She only smiled at him, turning on her side and
readjusting the pillows.
''actually that is true.... and i know that...'' he grumbled,
looking away while crossing his arm's.
Maxwell went over and sighed, leaning down as he lightly kissed her
on the forehead.
''love you...'' he mumbled, smiling a little while gently cupping
her cheek.
She propped herself up on her elbow and kissed his hand. "Love you
too. You have bags under your eyes, Maxwell," Fallow murmured with
concern, running her thumb lightly on his upper cheek, "and I
probably do too." She broke away and sighed, pulling the covers
higher up her shoulders.
Maxwell grabbed one of the pillows off the bed and a separate
blanket that was set aside and sat the pillow down on the floor,
wrapping the blanket around himself before he got down and laid on
the floor.
Fallow paused for a moment and turned to the edge of the bed,
putting her chin in her hands and looking down at him. "Whatcha
doin'?" She said, her blue eyes large and blinking slowly.
