i think gems should have more uses like at the gem collector certain gems can get you certain items like 200 rock gems could get you a fossil or something like that
Grass gems could get you some kind of vitamin Or leaf stones
Electric gems could give you Thunder stones
Etc etc.

Full support! That would be a great use for them and you gotta consider the fact that one type of a gem isn't all that easy to get, so this would be like a nice little reward for when we do manage to get them.

Wait, I just got an idea! What about a Key Item that costs in gems?

I like the idea of creating more uses for gems.
maybe it would also solve the key-dilemma, when getting coloured boxkeys by this way. currently I feel like.. wow, 20th box found.. but no keys. :x

yes please!

Though I'd prefer getting other stuff than stones/evolution items. You usually don't need plenty of them anyways, so once you have gotten the evolution items you needed you don't have use for the gems again.
Then again, I like the idea of trading gems for fossils and vitamins. Maybe also rare candies.
