Shade arrived at her camp and lit a small fire. Dumping the water she gathered this morning, she added roots and berries along with a couple of Shrimp she got in the morning. The result, watery shrimp soup. Shade still enjoyed it, she had been living off the streets before she came here and this was by far one of the best thing she had tasted in years. Shade finished her soup and put out the fire with the rest of the water and went in search of something more to eat.

Shade froze and looked up, the moon was not yet full, but there was that odd tingling sensation that she always got when it was full moon. Turning around, she ran though the forest, not caring if she made noise.

Shade crashed back into the camp panting. Felling around her neck, her heart sank as her hands found fur. Throwing herself against the ground, she felt the familiar sensation of bones stretching, cracking to make the monster inside her. Glancing up, the moon was full. "What?" She managed to gasp before the pain started. The fur around her neck finished growing, making a fluffy ring of silver fur. Her jaw jutted out and her incisors lengthened and sharpened. Howling in pain, her fingers lengthened into mini claws. Her yellow eyes turned red and her eyesight and hearing sharpened. Finally, Shad lay on the ground gasping. Lifting her hands, she saw the hands of the monster inside her.
