"Strange. You don't seem like a bad pokemon, but not knowing anything of your own past means...." He trailed off, his meowth-like tail swishing lightly as he thought.
"You, um, how do I word this... You don't have a place to stay? Or a way to take care of yourself? Or a family to go back to?" he asked, his questions carefully worded to ask what he wanted to ask while he was trying not to offend her, after all he was in pretty much that position, himself.
"Oh, um, Sarin," he replied with his own name, then looked around for the flyer that he had dropped when he rushed to help Tusk.
"Well, if you don't have a place to go, I, uh... found something that'd be a good place to, well, start...?" he said, more of a questioning tone to his voice than confidence.
"It's a sheet of paper, somewhere around here..."
"The guild mentioned there would be a place to go. Food, shelter, and helping others. Also, possibly, a way for you to get your memories back," he explained, then looked at her to see what she thought about that idea.
"About that, uhm... I don't know where exactly it is, as well... I don't have a map. But..." he explained, then started to sketch in the soft ground.
"Here is where we are," he explained pointing to an X he had sketched. He then moved his claw to a circle that he had also drawn.
"Here is a town that we should be able to get to before night fall. If we can find a map, either for sale or hanging up, we can get our directions to this guild worked out. The town, however, doesn't have a guild, so it's rather small. I don't know what luck we will have, but it's better than nothing, right?" he asked, then looked to his right.
"If you're interested, I think the town is that way."
"If you're strong, being alone is... fine, but... It gets tiring very fast, and if you're not strong enough, you get killed if you're not careful," he replied, a sad tone to his voice that showed that he spoke from experience rather than just an understanding of how this world worked. It was different from the one that he had come from, but after a few months, or was it over a year yet?, he had finally gotten used to how it was run.
"But no matter how strong you are, it's better to have company to being alone!" he said, trying to force himself to be up beat again.
"I'm sure there's something we can find to eat. Maybe in the trees or in a bush, sheltered from this weather," he suggested and started to look around as well. He took a step off of their path, then shivered as a snowflake landed on his head. Great, just great. Now it was going to snow, making things harder on them for the time being.
"Let's try to be quick, so we don't get too off course," he added with a friendly smile.
She went to some bushes and she eventually was ables to find some beries sheltered in deep branches of a bush.
Grabing them she brought the over to sarin. They were oran berries
"Slick find," he purred, his meowth side showing a bit in that action. He then trotted over and sat down, glad that the hungry vixen had found some food.
Tusk then sat down after giving the berries her fur was bristling with the cold. But then she thought for a momment while they ate and asked "what do you plan to do when we reach the guild. Surely they will want us yo do some work there. I wouldnt think theyed let us stay there for free"
"what do you plan to do when we reach the guild. Surely they will want us yo do some work there. I wouldn't think they'd let us stay there for free" the female mused, grasping the basics pretty quickly for one without a memory.
The Nidoran swallowed what was in his mouth before speaking up.
"Guilds work by having a range of jobs ranging from just keeping the guild clean to cooking to running on missions and errands to bring in Poké to keep the guild running. Sometimes there are swap shops, group missions, or other miscellaneous tasks to do. Everyone has to do something for the title of a guild member, and in return for the work you get a small cut of the money, a place to lay your head, food for your belly, and a chance to get known in the world and help more pokémon. I've tried to join a few guilds, but... Well, it's kind of hard for a Pokémon like me to get accepted when I'm alone and a nobody, so I appear to be more of a hindrance than a help.... Plus, Poison Point and Rivalry as abilities aren't exactly the best when trying to work in a group," he explained the last little bit he pinned his ears for.
