The third day of the trip, they got to the thicker part of the forest. The lighting was thin, at best, and it was clearly more active. The Nidoran jumped at every sound of a branch breaking, or a leaf moving, or even a rock that he himself kicked moving. Nothing seemed right in this place, but he knew it was most likely just the mind set due to it being named Forbidden Forest.
A new guild was built at the edge of a bustling town, and flyers were sent out all around to try and get new recruits. "Guild Master Delphox wants brave, strong, and any helpful pokémon to come and apply!"
One of these fliers took to the wind, and was carried away. It had been months since this guild opened, and it was now full of new recruits, but was always welcome to gaining more as long as someone was willing to help.
A Nidoran fusion lay curled up beside a rock to keep the winter chill out, as he didn't have a home. As he stretched and opened his eyes, the flyer landed on his head, his horn punching a hole in it. His mismatched eyes crossed to try and read the sheet of paper, and he finally made out the words and picture. It was about a week away, but if he could get in, then that would be a sheltered home to crash for the night.
He eased up onto his claws and looked around, trying to figure out which way to head that would be the right direction. After all, he didn't really have a map or anything.
He managed to get there just in time and tackled the fluffy critter, redirecting the force of the fall into a tumble along the ground instead. He stopped tumbling a little ways away, his back spikes out of place and a few scrapes along his purple flesh, but for the most part he was unharmed. He then looked around to see where the Zorua was.
"H-Hello?" She called out hoping it was friendly
"H-hey. You alright?" he asked as he came into view of the Zorua in the bush. 'whew, that was lucky' he thought about her landing on something soft like leaves and branches instead of on the hard ground or some rocks.
"Where'd you, um, come from, anyway?" he asked, looking back at the sky. It was a cloudy day, threatening to snow on them.
