It’s been a while since the
experiments known as gijinkas were set loose upon the world.
Sixteen years, to be exact. Humans aren’t receiving them well. Many
gijinkas are unable to get jobs or lead normal lives because of
their kind. Gijinkas are thrown out, despised.
Some gijinkas are kidnapped, and taken to special fighting areas, where they must duel each other until the other faints. Some gijinkas are paid to participate in them. Although this “sport” was made illegal recently, it continues. Official do nothing to put an end to the fights.
Conditions are getting worse and worse. But there is hope for gijinkas. Word is spreading among them that there is an underground city, where humans and gijinkas live together peacefully.
To get into the city, you first need to find one of the messengers. The messengers are residents of the city who know about the secret entrances. They are also the only ways to get in or out of the city. Anyone trying to sneak by without permission, or without being escorted by a messenger, will be seen as a trespasser trying to break in or out.
Many of the messengers are half-blood gijinkas, or “halfies” as some call them. They are children belonging to a human parent and a gijinka parent. Although they may only be half as powerful as a pure gijinka, they can retract their gijinka parts, such as ears and tails, to look like a normal human.
So whether you’re a gijinka on the run or a human looking towards a better future, what will you do? Will you seek out the messengers, or promote gijinka battling?

1) It’s been sixteen years since
gijinkas have been released from the labs, meaning that since that
was the earliest time gijinkas would have been around, there can be
no half-bloods or second generation gijinkas older than 15 or
16.
2) Only half-bloods can be messengers unless you PM me for permission. (The Underground doesn’t want to risk sending out gijinkas that can’t blend in.)
3) Try to use your best grammar and spelling. I don’t want to be a Grammar Nazi, but I can be one. You have been warned.
4) As a general rule, try to post at least 3 good sentences.
5) No password, I’m going to trust that you have read the rules. I’m counting on you, guys.
6) No legendaries. They just seem a bit OP for this kind of RP, where lots of fighting will happen.
7) No goddmodding/powerplaying, or Gary/Mary Sues. In other words, just because your character is agile, it doesn’t mean he/she can dodge every move.
8) If you want your half-blood to be a messenger, they must be at least 13. I know that really limits the age group, but below that, they can be in training. (When in training, they can go out on missions with their mentor if allowed.) The Underground doesn’t want to send out inexperienced kids on their own.
9) Keep it PG-13 or under. I know that there will be a lot of fighting, but don’t make it too gory like spilling guts or anything.
10) Do not kill another character without permission, but don’t be afraid to ask. In fact, expect one or two deaths along the way. It makes things interesting.
11) Please, only use moves that your gijinka's fused Pokemon would know. Also, keep skills realistic. A Graveler gijinka would be powerful and sturdy, but also slow and clumsy.
12) If your gijinka was born in or was taken to the lab at some point, feel free to give some genetic enhancements to your character. Also, lab gijinkas are even expected to be a bit stronger than others, because of their lab background. ;)

Username: Death
Name: Shadras
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Species: Gijinka
Fused with: Absol
Appearance: (Picture)
He has many scars on his arms, and one across his jaw bone, but he mainly keeps them hidden.
Personality: He can be a bit ADHD at times. He’s always ready to jump to his feet at a moment’s notice, but this may be due more to his background than to a condition of ADHD. He tends to pay close attention to details, and although he certainly isn’t any Sherlock Holmes, he can tell a lot about a person by the way they act, and is very analytical and strategizing when in battle.
Occupation: Lives in the Underground. He is one of the few pure gijinkas that are trusted and skilled enough to go aboveground without a messenger escort. In fact, coming or leaving with him is basically an equivalent. Many gijinkas seek him out, since he can be easily tracked down with the right tracking skills and a good nose. What he doesn’t want most people to know is that he secretly participates in gijinka fights in return for money, since he has excellent battle skills and is rather powerful thanks to his genetic enhancement.
History: He was one of the first gijinkas, and one of the most successful, born and bred in the lab. He had genetic enhancements that made him physically and mentally better than most gijinkas. He was four years old when he was taken away from the lab, and was then raised in the Underground by a human, who mysteriously disappeared three years later. Since then, Shadras has been fending for himself, trying to make a living. He has been known by many organizers of gijinka battles to mysteriously show up asking if any battles have good prize money. He has also been abducted several times to participate, most of which he escaped from, but there were a few where he was forced to battle.
Family: None. He was a lab gijinka. No crushes either, because he tends to insult anyone who tries to even start a conversation with him.
Other: The reason he participates in battles is mainly because it’s the only “job” he could ever hope to get, and also to cure his endless boredom.
Username: Death
Name: Saria
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Species: Half-Blood (second gen)
Fused with: Grovyle
Appearance:
Gijinka form:
Human (disguise) form:
This is what she looks like when she retracts her gijinka parts. Her hair and eyes also change color so as to blend in.
Personality: She's quite carefree, as far as gijinkas go with the current situation being what it is. She sees the past as an anchor, and only by letting go of it can you freely go places. She doesn't like being restrained, and can be quite rebellious. However, she's prone to emotional damage from insults and verbal abuse. On the outside, she may look happy, but she can be seen crying herself to sleep at night, or the occasional tear trickling down her cheek when nothing present seems to be causing anything.
She prefers to stay in her gijinka form, because it's uncomfortable for her to retract her gijinka parts, and it just feels more natural. She only really retracts when she travels among humans, but changing back at the end of the day, to her is like taking out a tight ponytail, and stretching your legs after a long car ride. In her spare time, she does freerunning through the city, or practices her acrobatics.
Occupation: Lives in the Underground. She works as a messenger, hired because she has speed and good freerunning skills, most of which she learned from Shadras in one of his "private classes". Through her training, she'd honed herself to have this sort of sixth sense on where gijinkas are, and she's helped many to find the Underground.
History: When her parents left at an early age, she was found by Shadras, who led her to the Underground and got her a place to stay, and also kind of took her under his wing. Even though Shadras never really "took care" of her, giving her freerunning classes. He also tried to teach her battling, telling her it would be useful, but she never cared for it, and didn't end up learning much besides the very basics: using moves. She looks up to him as kind of a parent, or like a responsible older sibling, and she often calls him by "big bro", although Shadras himself will deny any relationship or evidence of having known her.
Family/Relationships: Her mother was a Sceptile gijinka from the lab, and her father an author. At the age of seven, Saria's mother received fatal injuries from a sudden street fight, including a bullet wound in her side. She died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital, and Saria never saw the body. Her father packed his things and left within the next day, unable to handle the loss. Part of Saria wishes she could see him again, the other half doesn't want to remember the father that left her.
Other: She relies on her swiftness to get her out of sticky situations, and she doesn't give a crap about battling, as she thinks it's a waste of time. However, give her almost any trick or acrobatic move, and she can pull it off no problem.

Username: Renegade
Name: Noire
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Species: Gijinka
Fused with: Honchkrow
Appearance:
She occasionally lifts her hat. Her eyes are red.
She also has a wingspan of 3 metres, from tip to tip. She also wears black leather boots and inside her cloak, she seems to have a hidden bag, to steal stuff.
Personality: Reckless, she doesn't like living underground. However, she still has her honour to defend, so that is why she says put. Mischievous, she takes glee in stealing and causing havoc when she can above the ground. She can be highly territorial and defensive of people she cares about. At times, she can be quite insightful and observant in serious times. In others, she likes to brighten the atmosphere.
When she speaks, sarcasm seeps into her voice. She also has a 'serious' mode, usually in battles, when she uses her stealth and agility to the fullest.
Occupation: She lives Underground, and basically collects information from various sources, and groups them all together.
History: She was 5 when she got taken into the labs. She had been stealing food, even by that time pretty good at it. This time, she got spotted. The scientists wanted to increase her stealth and agility, and so made her a Honchkrow gijinka. They thought she would be useful in gathering information.
When she was 10, she found that someone had left the door to her cage open. Despite having her memory wiped, and no idea of who her family was, she left quietly. She soon after found the Underground.
Family/Relationships: She probably did have some, but she can't remember. As for relationships, she doubted it.
Other: She has this ability to slip into the shadows without anyone noticing her.
She's doesn't specialize in attack, and her defence is pretty poor.

Name: Lucy
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Species: Gijinka
Fused with: Glaceon
Appearance:
Personality: Lucy has to be very jumpy on her toes, as she lives in a dirty alley (more info in Occupation). She has learned to become a quick thinker and a good liar, with the ability to keep a straight face. Lucy learned all kinds of tricks to living in bad conditions, which can help her out of sticky situations.
However, despite her slyness, Lucy is also shy. She never approaches someone first, unless it's necessary. As you get to know her better, though, Lucy can be sweet and understanding. She holds a childish innocence that all humans and gijinkas really are good inside, no matter what their actions are.
Occupation: Lucy lives in a broad, disgusting alley up above, working as a low wage waitress at a diner in the alley. She doesn't have the money to find a house, and can't work at any other place without being leered at. Besides, although the alley is dark and moldy, it's also a good place to be by yourself and think clearly.
Lucy would never fight in an arena. She hates the thought of fighting one of her kind for everyone's amusement. Lucy has avoided capture by staying at the end of the alley when she gets suspicious, because nobody ever lurks to the back of the gutter.
History: Lucy is one of the newer creations from the lab. An experiment was held to see if Eevee gijinkas could evolve. Of course, they can, and Lucy became a Glaceon Gijinka. Finding no more use to her, the lab turned the gijinka loose into the world. Lucy had stopped from store to store, to diner to diner, only to be denied a proper job.
At last, she came to the alley. A small, dimly lit diner is at the front of it, but other than that, nothing's there. Lucy finally got herself a job at the diner, owned by a human who couldn't care less if all of the waiters and waitresses were gijinkas or humans. Lucy had stayed here ever since, but she often finds herself wishing for something more to life.
Family/Relationships: None. Was born in a lab.

Occupation: Lives in the city above ground in a small rented house. He usually only leaves the house at night to wander in the streets and to rob some people (That's how he makes his living.)
History: Jared along his little sister was a blessing to his lovely parents. However his mother died when he was eight years old and that was when his father started drinking. Turned out his old man was an agry drunk and Jared would often take the hits for his little sister too. Jared was taken into the lab when he was 15 but he got released shortly after. He had been considered a failure since he didn't manage to learn much of scrafty's figting moves.
After finding his way home he found out his father had killed his own daughter in drunken rage. Without realizing it Jared had bashed his father's head in. Shocked and scared of what he had done Jared lived underground, hiding, for a year or so but came back to the city after realizing he didn't want to hide for the rest of his life. He started robbing people and rented a small place to live in. After getting a couple of painful blows from one of his not so helpless -vitims he started training his abilities. Finally, Jared managed to get the hang of how to use this new potential.

Username: Zorupix
Name: Atrus D'ni
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Species: First Gen Gijinka
Fused with: Zoroark
Appearance: Images are not working... :U
Personality: Atrus is cool, collected and cunning. He comes off as a typical businessman, but he cares quite a bit about his workers and fellow Gijinkas. While he is normally out in his illusionary human form, he follows the status quo, but will always leave suttle remarks to get people to question if battling people who were at one point human was a truly ethical thing.
Occupation: President of Plasma Industries
History: Atrus was stolen away from his family at a young age. Being but a child when they were finally released, people had mixed reactions to him. Because he was so young, he looked much more like a Zoroark than a normal Gijinka. However, he still had the body build of a 9 year old child.
If anything, it was only because of the fact that he was a young child that people felt sympathy for him. One of the sympathizers, a breeder named Carol, hid Atrus away in her ranch. She had a normal Zoroark named Faera.
While Carol raised Atrus in the ways of humans, Faera taught the boy how to use his powers of Illusion. With it, the boy learned how to give himself an illusionary human form and maintain it. With his new form, he was able to go to school and later to college.
As he grew, so too did his mastery of illusions. he joined Plasma Industries, a new pharmasutical company that made curatives specifically designed for Gijinkas. Using his mastery of illusions, he caused some scandals from within, stealing his way to the top by eventually conning the majority of the stock shares into his possession. Within a matter of two years, he became the new president of Plasma Industries. The company has since thrived under his leadership.
As a means to give aid to other Gijinkas, he opened a warehouse within the underground city, feeding the warehouse there with supplies that he would purchase with a portion of his own income. Very, very few have ever seen his true form, as he always ensures he is in a safe and secure area before releasing his illusion.
Family/Relationships: Carol (Adoptive human mother/NPC), Faera (Adoptive Zoroark mother/NPC)
Other: Has access to normally learned moves from the Zorua/Zoroark line. His illusions are also powerful enough to not only fool one's vision, but all other senses as well. It is what prevents humans, Pokemon and Gijinkas form being able to tell what he is.

Username: Sadimastika
Name: Caelan
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Species: Gijinka
Fused with: Tyranitar
Appearance:
Personality:
He could still remember the time back when he was still a human child, he had a very thick skin for patience and was normally easy-going and care-free. He used to smile a lot, even during challenges and was always the first one to reassure everyone that everything is going to be okay. When he was fused with a Tyranitar at age 10 though, he somewhat found that there could be a lot of things that could get on his nerves. Today as a gijinka, he is easily angered, and would often explode in uncontrollable bursts of thrashing and roaring once he gets ticked off. Oftentimes it would lead him to breaking things and hurting people, which made him quite useful in arenas. He is quite sensitive and emotional you might say, but deep down, he himself is baffled by the different kind of emotions he would often feel that he did not have a clue where it came from. He thought that this was perhaps the true personality of a Tyranitar, which made its species insolent by nature.
Steering clear from the raging side, he gets easily amused as much as he is easily angered. Of course, he denies that fact. Also when he is not fuming with rage, he does have a strong sense of justice and fairness. He believes in fair play and as much as possible, he does not take advantage of others' weaknesses as much as his new Tyranitar nature would allow. Some say he has difficulty expressing his real personality as when he is with his foster grandparents (whom he considers his parents), he becomes as gentle and naive as a lost child. It is a fact that his contrasting traits when he was human and his new Tyranitar nature battle for dominance, thus giving him quite a bit of a bipolar attitude.
Occupation: He oftentimes fight in the arena as this was the easiest way for him to vent out all the emotional confusion from being fused with a Tyranitar and its nature. Sometimes he regains his senses and feels guilty and compassionate (especially after fighting against very young and innocent gijinkas), and would tend to run away from his masters to pursue a better occupation instead. As he is a very confused gijinka, his masters were not bothered by him running away anymore after a few escapes as he ends up running back to them after a period of time. As a part time, he tries his best to stay away from all the fighting and work on his anger management by serving as a construction worker or part of a demolition team. During his younger years as a gijinka though, he used to be an arsonist.
History: Young Caelan used to engage sports during his elementary years. He loved to play soccer, swim, finish hurdles, clear obstacle courses... Basically, he was as agile as a monkey as a kid. He loves to outrun everyone and compete in races, which could be the reason he caught the interest of scientists. As their sole intention was to boost a Tyranitar's speed by fusing it with a young, athletic runner, they invited Caelan for this type of experiment, informing him that he will receive incredible strength in return. Of course, naive as he was back then as he wanted to participate in strength-based sports too, he wholeheartedly agreed to it, not knowing that they were going to fuse him with a pokemon. He found that he could not escape his fate as the damage was irreversible and so was kept in the lab for a couple more years. Later on, the experiment failed as Tyranitar's nature outpowered the boy's agility. Caelan now became slower in movement, though he was still a tad faster than an ordinary Tyranitar. This however, did not please the scientists at all. Caelan was disposed of and let loose and the young lad had no choice but to survive on his own.
Pushed around by humans for being different, Caelan had no choice but to participate in illegal battles as he believed that this was the only place where gijinkas like himself belong. He used the feeling of loneliness and longing for his family as his strength to battle, as his guilt for being selfish enough to leave them behind in exchange for power was too much to bear. As he was relocated to another region during the transformation without no clue of finding home, this made going back seem like an impossible mission now that he is transformed into a creature despised by humans. As a form of revenge, he would sometimes join arsonists in illegally burning houses down, thanks to his fire blast technique developed back in the lab. Of course, he grew tired of it as there was little to no money on this and so decided to work full time in the arena.
As years passed by with him battling others, he thought that maybe there is another way for him to live without hurting others. Severe violence especially towards those who were only forced to fight seemed wrong in his eyes and soon enough, he succeeded in attempting to escape the battlegrounds. Unlike boxing or martial arts, being a sporty kid back then, he understood that the players showed respect with each other. In this world, it was different. He felt the pain of his opponents who have already surrendered, and yet he still was required to attack until they lose consciousness. The battles were brutal and it was unjust. He tried running away a lot of times, but end up returning - enraged after being denied of a proper occupation by humans. However, during one of his escapes, he found an empty field where he thought he could vent out his deep-seated anger and confusion towards the world. There he raged about, wrecking havoc on the poor soil until he could no longer feel rage but sadness. Strange as it may look for a tenacious gijinka, but Caelan wept. He did not know for how long he had strained his eyes from sobbing but the next thing he felt was his rage attempting to come back to him again when a gentle hand touched his shoulder.
It was an old lady and his husband.
This was then the gijinka realized that he had not just destroyed an empty field, but a farm worked so hard by the couple and their herd of Miltanks and Tauroses. As his fists tightened, expecting to be hated for what he had done, he surprisingly received forgiveness. There was something in this old couple that tore through his thick armor and touched his heart. The way they understood his feelings inspired him to change and though he would oftentimes fail to control his anger being a Tyranitar and all, the couple never gave up on him as they saw his potential to do good. Now, he found himself working for a demolition team and a construction worker, using his strength to lift large steel bars and moving heavy equipment, thanks to recommendations from his foster Grandfather. Though sometimes he still gets picked on by other people, at least there was a slight improvement in his behavior. Of course, he fails from time to time which gets him returning to the arena either for emotional gratification or financial issues.
Family/Relationships: His real family is alive somewhere else in this world, he just have to figure out how to get there. Right now, he lives with his foster Grandparents: Arturo and Felicia. He has no interest in anyone as of yet.
Other: He obviously lacks speed, and so he diligently jogs a few rounds every dawn throughout the city in an attempt to bring back his agility as a human child. Of course, he still has a long way to go and so he can only rely on his defense and attack to survive any form of bullying. He also has a soft spot for children and grass types, not because it's his type weakness literally, but he learned to love gardening and farming.

Personality: He was fused when he was 4. He is calm and kind with friends, but when he's in battle, he loses his mind. Horn didn't mind fusing with the Heracross, because it gave him new powers and skills. If he's losing in a fight, he never gives up until the very end. He has a hard time fighting Fire Type Gijinkas.
You wouldn't want to make him angry, when he gets angry his strength goes up to intense levels. All the other stats lower harshly. Sometimes he wished he had never fused with the Heracross, and sometimes he wished he was never a human and was a Gijinka all his life.
Occupation: Horn is participating in Gijinka fights, because he wants to be the best Gijinka fighter of all time. He lives overground.
History: He was a very happy kid, with a good and happy family.
Family/Relationships: He thought this family died, but they might be alive. He will maybe geta crush.
Other: His Attack and Speed are quite high, but Defence, HP and Dodging (can't remember what it's called) are lowish.

Name: Noire
Would you mind if I did a Missingno gijinka?
-I like pianos. And bee2. Haha, I'm kidding. I do like pianos though. And Klavier Gavin, though that's kinda irrelevent.

Name: Lucy
Other: Fast, but not strong.
Renegade: Missingno? By all means, go right ahead.
EDIT: Making the RP soon.

Name: Jared
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Species: Gijinka
Fused with: Scrafty
Appearance:
Personality: Jared tends to avoid everyone, gijinka or human, it doesn't matter to him. He has major trust issues and won't talk to anyone unless given a good reason. Jared doesn't like fighting much but if he sees it necessary, he'll give you a little lesson.

Gender: Male
Species: First Gen Gijinka
Fused with: Zoroark
Appearance:
True form
Human Illusion form

Name: Xerox (I didn’t know this was a printer company until too late <<’)
Age: Currently 17.
Gender: Male
Species: Gijinka
Fused with: Missingno
Appearance: (Body structure based of this: Here
Instead of having green eyes, he has purple pupiless ones. His hair has also some white in it.
He wears a white cloak, that is tattered near the edges, and a small silver bracelet on his left wrist. He has a long purple scarf that he ties around his neck. In public, he wears a purple-white mask, that has a red-stained feather stuck to it.
He seems to have pixels floating around him, and his appearance may occasionally flicker and distort into the various Missingno forms when someone is talking to him. He also has wings, albeit pixel ones, only because he likes them, having the ability to add things to his appearance (But not change shape). He also has no shadow.
Personality: Because of who he is, he tends to stay away from company. He refuses to join any forces, including the Underground and the gijinka fighting promotions. He used to trust people easily, but now, having taken so many blows, he hardly trusts anyone.
He’s very thoughtful, often thinking about things that have happened when he has nothing to do. He tends to stay away from gijinka fights, as he doesn’t have a move set to fight with. If he is cornered, he rams into enemies, and then quickly goes. Either that, or he unnerves them. The mask helps in concealing his emotions, as he feels vulnerable without it. He isn’t really aggressive, but he has a flair for calling peoples’ bluff.
If in a group, he acts uncaring, but underneath that mask, he is listening. One quirk he has is a sort of twisted sense of humor. Another is how he doesn’t judge another by their appearance. He has a particularly keen eye, and keeps things he finds.
Occupation: He lives above ground, in an alleyway. He has somehow made a makeshift shelter. The entrance to his ‘home’ is very well concealed, hidden in the shadows. And the rumors he has spread make it unlikely that someone is going to go and look soon.
He makes a living by whatever he can. He has some acquaintances (who don’t know who he actually is) that help him earn a living. They give him money in return for him doing their errands.
History: His family, being very poor, donated him to the labs in exchange for money. They didn’t keep him in a cage, rather, he was the centre of attention in the labs. What he didn’t know at the time was that they planned to make him a Shadow Lugia gijinka, or rather, XD001. The transformation was to be done when he was about 8. Now they put him in a cage, and strapped him to the table while they injected serums and hooked up several machines to him. They kept him like this for a month.
On the final day, it all went wrong so suddenly. Since Shadow Lugia’s DNA was technically Lugia’s, there was no actual way to create a Shadow Lugia gijinka unless it was to breed a Shadow Lugia and a human. The whole thing became invalid. Instead of a Shadow Lugia gijinka, Xerox was a Missingno gijinka. A failure.
The lights blacked out at this time, and the computers started glitching. He silently went.
There was an old shack at that time, before it got demolished, near the lab. A Shiny Charizard gijinka lived there, only a few years older than himself. He took care of Xerox.
Then, when Xerox was 15, the Charizard gijinka was taken for the gijinka fights. He had been wandering when it happened.
From then on, he learnt to cope for himself, and with help from the Charizard gijinka’s friends.
Family/Relationships: He doesn’t keep in contact with his real family any more, after what they’ve done. His adoptive father was called Katsuma.
Other: When he is around, things tend to glitch. Moves, machinery etc. He is only able to control his powers when he is angry.
