The tom cat walked over to Honeyfang before entering, and gave a
meow of appreciation before turning back and limping up to the den.
He chose the other nest, seeing Miststar collapsed in the one on
the other side of the room, and he found a comfortable position on
his right side. He turned himself to face Miststar a bit, before
heaving a sigh and closing his eyes.
Ivyfur glanced at the injured cats and picked up a pawful of
Burdock Root and placed a few leaves on Miststar's flank, then
added some cobwebs to stop the bleeding. The grey she-cat then
turned to Rainfeather and placed the last few leaves from her
pawful of leaves and placed them onto the tom's wounds. She then
put some cobwebs to stop the bleeding, and beckoned Honeyfang in to
get her wounds treated.
The warrior headed inside the medicine den once the others were
treated first, sitting where she wouldn't get in their way. As her
wounds were covered, she let out a sigh of relief, the pain
instantly being eased, sapped away by what Ivyfur was putting on
them.
"You should be ok." Ivyfur meowed after she had finished treating
Honeyfang's wounds. "If that Throat wound starts bleeding again
come straight back, ok?"
(( Miststar, Rainfeather and Honeyfang were battling a badger that
could have been a potential threat is all! ))
Honeyfang
Once her wounds were treated, she looked down at Rainfeather and
Miststar. The two had actually been beaten up pretty badly, and she
partially blamed herself for not paying better attention to the two
of them while she continued fighting the badger.
Sighing, she gently nosed Rainfeather and asked, "Hey, do you want
something to eat while I'm heading out? Seems as though Miststar
isn't hungry, but I'm not sure about you." She shrugged, holding in
a grumble at the pain she felt when she did. "I think I'm just
going to get a drink, so tell me now if you're hungry or you're
getting it yourself."
Talk about an odd attempt at being even somewhat nice...
"I'd like a small morsel, thanks for the offer." Rainfeather said,
opening his eyes. Attempting to sit up, he fell back down. Knowing
Honeyfang probably felt bad, he looked up at her. "It's not your
fault. In all, it's mine. I acted so late..." He said, sighing. He
laid back down in the comfortable position and closed his eyes
again.
Honeyfang nodded, deciding she really wasn't thirsty and just
wanted to be useful for once. She padded towards the fresh kill
pile, picked up the requested morsel, and made her way back to the
Medicine Den.
Placing it in front of him, she scoffed, sitting back down. "Look,
I know you want to make me feel better...I think...but it's
alright. It's natural for me to blame myself, so no need for kind
words."
It was probably best if she stayed in there for a while longer so
she wouldn't do anything to open up her neck wound, which seemed to
be pretty bad. Looks like another leisurely day ahead of me,
she thought.
Looking at Honeyfang, Silverpaw decided that something attacked
them, or they attacked something. "Is there any way I can be
useful?" she inquired, since she didn't completely know what she
should do.
"Oh, don't look at me," she said, flicking her tail to point
towards the other two in the den. "They're the ones that really
need help, if anything. I'm alright."
Hearing Honeyfang come back, Rainfeather pawed the morsel towards
him, taking a bite out of it. "Thanks." He said, before turning to
Silverpaw. "I'm not exactly sure, but I guess we could sit here and
talk." He said to the apprentice, before coughing a little bit and
eating another bite of the food he was given.
The golden she-cat turned to Silverpaw and relaxed a little. "We
came upon a cave that held a badger," she started, "and it was much
too near the camp. We fought it, and here we are now." She flicked
her tail towards the two cats laying down and herself.
Miststar nodded gratefully at Ivyfur, as she mewed there was an
absence of warmness in her voice. "Thanks." She meowed, yet somehow
there was still gratitude in her cold tone. She stood up stiffly,
and shook out her long, calico pelt with a sigh. Miststar trotted
over next to Honeyfang, as she sat down and coiled her tail around
her large forepaws. "Hello." She mewed and rasped her soft tongue
over her chest fur to flatten it down. **edited** Her head turned
to Rainfeather. "Its none of our faults since we beat that badger,
and I could've done better myself." She mewed coldly. Her ears
flattened as if something was bothering her, but miststar grumbled
and padded away to the leaders' den for a nap.
"Okay then." Rainfeather said, sighing. What had gotten the leader
so mad? He shrugged it off, staggering to his feet and skidded down
the hill purposefully, before heading to the Warriors den and
sitting down in a nest. He thought he had made the right decision,
not picking a fight.
Miststar heaved her eyelids open, as her lifted herself to her
paws. She sweeped her tail lightly at the floor. It was just
another fight, she thought. Fight always bothered her for a
special reason, but she never told anyone why. The she-cat leapt
out of the leaders' den and scanned the camp for Honeyfang.
Miststar trotted over to the fiesty she-cat and sat down. "Hello,
Honeyfang." She meowed warmly. "I was thinking... Would you like an
apprentice yourself to mentor?" Her tail flicked at the
apprentices' den.
