Cat name: Evening Breeze
Moon: 18
Gender: Female
Rank: Deputy
Appearance: A jet black cat with strange blue eyes and white
streaks down her body and tail
Miststar nodded curtly at Rainfeather, her determind glare
returning back to the badger. She lunged at it, her foreclaws
sticking outwards. The badger growled and dodged it swiftly, as
Miststar slammed into a rock with her flank. Quickly, she scrambled
to her paws, ignoring the ache in flank. Its fast she
thought. She dashed towards the badger and clamped her jaw at its
neck. The badger flung the shecat off and scratched down her back,
as Miststar shivered. She leapt over to Rainfeather and helped him
up, leaving some time to Honeyfang.
The golden she-cat hissed in pain as the badger managed to bite the
scruff of her neck, ripping some skin and fur. She yowled out,
slicing her claws along his eyes again and again as she watched
Rainfeather get thrown against the wall. "Can you get up?!" She
called to him, hissing as the badger got another hold of her with
its teeth, not letting go this time.
"Thanks, Miststar." Rainfeather said, nodding. Seeing Honeyfang
being attacked, he leapt back into action, charging at the badger
with force before getting a pretty much insane grip on it, only
missing one front paw with his bit and other paw grip. He didn't
care if he was bitten right now, he was determined to put up a
fight.
Growling as the badgers grip on her flank was released, she shook
out her pelt, seeing blood coat her honey-golden fur...not that it
mattered, then. Eyes itching for revenge, she struck once agan for
the badgers eyes while it was distracted with Rainfeather.
Miststar heaved out breaths in pain, as a bolt of determination
suddenly hit her. Even in a battered state, she felt refreshed and
rushed with energy. She yowled "C'mon, lets finish this!" As she
lunged towards the badger, using all weight to slam on it. Its
on, she thought as her claws ripped at the badger's spine.
Remembering her hard days of training, she claws down viciously at
its spine, the badger wincing and becoming paralized. She slashed
her claws at the badger's eyes several times, blinding it. This
should help, She said in her mind, remembering badgers were as
dim-witted as regular mouses. She slammed onto its back, clawing it
rapidly over and over again.
Releasing his grip, Rainfeather nodded. "It's going to die of blood
loss soon." He said, clawing down it's left side with Miststar.
Pretty much out of enery and a bit battered, Rainfeather backed out
into the tunnel. He has been bitten on the back, and slashed a few
times, and he also had aches. "Finish it off. I think we should
quickly go out and mark the territory and asset the med cat to our
injuries."
Evening Breeze stood up and trotted out of the den. She looked
around. Every thing was peaceful. Evening Breeze trotted to the
medicine cat apprentice. " hello, where is Miststar?" she asked
Spitting in annoyance, Honeyfang decided she would give it the
final blow and put the filthy creature out of its misery.
Lunging at the badger one last time, she sunk her teeth in the
middle of his neck, cracking it as she heard a distressed wince. It
tried to continue walking, but with one last slash from Miststar,
it was done, falling limp to the ground.
Honeyfang panted, hot red blood dripping out of her two wounds. She
looked to Rainfeather and her leader, shaking out her pelt
again.
"Yuck. I reek of badger," was all she said as she headed after
Rainfeather.
Miststar's streak soon wore off, as she ached with pain. She
remembered Rainfeather's words. It'll die from blood loss soon.
He's right. "We should just leave it here and let it wither.
Its better than wasting more energy on it." The calico shecat
nodded at Honeyfang. The battered state Miststar was currently in
made her feel a rush of oozing heat. She tried her best to ignore
the scorching wounds on pelt, as she gave a weak flick of her
fluffy tail and padded off. "You guys did great in that battle,"
she meowed.
"Thanks. I think we should head back and heal up. Maybe go next
sunrise." Rainfeather said, wincing as he got up from the tunnel
out, allowing the others to pass. His messy fur was dark red around
the wounds, but at least they got rid of a possible threat. "At
least we got rid of it. It could cost us worse." He said, his gaze
looking at the withering badger.
Evening breeze sighed. She already knew the answer: On a patrol.
She raced out of the camp and found Miststar and her warriors.
"Come." she said to them
Miststar jumped a bit at the sight of the young shecat, but mewed
warmly. "Hello, Eveningbreeze." She flicked her fluffy tail. Even
in a tired, battered state the calico nodded and followed her
deputy.
(Last post for the night... I'm tired.)
Rainfeather tilted his head and sighed, but obeyed the higher rank
and followed. Limping on a few paws due to wounds and being tired,
the tom held back grunts of pain every few steps. His state wasn't
much worse than Miststar's.
"Very well," Miststar nodded at Eveningbreeze. The tall, muscular
shecat limped over to the medden, nodding at the warriors to
follow. She collapsed into a random moss nest, her battered state
making her a bit unbalanced. She looked up at the meds, and meowed.
"Badger fight." She winced as her legs and wounds ached. (But
really we beat that crap outta that badger lol)
Miststar nodded greatfully at the shecat, but she pushed it back.
"I'm not hungry," she mewed. "Save it for the rest of the clan."
She blinked and returned to slumber.
Honeyfang decided she was the least beaten up of the three, even if
the wound on her neck was bleeding at a fairly fast rate. She
simply shook it off, telling Miststar and Rainfeather to go in and
get treated first.
Like she was before the patrol, Honeyfang laid down in the
clearance(near the medicine den this time) and purred gently as her
honey-golden fur once more began soaking in the soft sunlight,
despite all the pain from her wounds. She had gotten worse before,
anyways.
