Hazepaw
Hazepaw laughed gently with another smile. "Well, I'm not quite a
warrior yet...but I hope to be soon!" he nodded. "I think I like
hunting the most. The rush is really exciting...but it's not as
fierce as battling. Hunting feeds the Clan, anyways!"
"What do you think your warrior name will be?" Silverpaw asked,
glad to keep the conversation going with the other apprentice. "I
hope I'm something like Silverpool, or Silverbreeze or something
like that."
Hazepaw blinked. He hadn't actually thought of what his warrior
name could be before...
"Wow...I don't think I have any clue on what I even want it
to be," he admitted. "But what ending actually sounds good with
'Haze'?" He asked, frowning as he shifted in his place a little. "I
don't like my name much. It doesn't sound nice and nothing sounds
nice with it."
"Hazepool, Hazecloud, Hazewhisker," Silverbreeze began to say
aloud, trying to think of something that sounded good. "Well I like
your name, Hazepaw. Haze is kind of unique for a name, I guess."
The apprentice looked around the camp for a moment, just to see if
anyone else was around now.
Miststar straightened her posture a bit and turned to Honyfang,
meowing warmly. "Thats wonderful," The she-cat than coiled her
fluffy tail around her forepaws. "And good morning, Rainfeather."
She replied warmly as her bright golden eyes gazed out into the
sky. "What time should we leave?" Miststar meowed as she felt the
small breeze of the wind. Miststar unsheathed her long, jagged
claws from their deep slumber. Her claws seemed to be
blood-thirsty, which seemed strange on the usually cheerful
she-cat, whom was staring idly into the sky.
Hazepaw laughed a little as she suggested 'Hazepool'. "That sounds
a little more suited for a she-cat, but I guess it does sound
okay..." The compliments were nice, but didn't really change his
mind much. "Pretty names like yours go good with everything."
Honeyfang
"Well, I don't see why we can't go right about now. The sooner the
better," Honeyfang shrugged, tail flicking behind her, bright eyes
gleaming. "I'm pretty sure just about everyone in the clan has
nothing to do, anyways, being such a nice Greenleaf day."
"Now indeed seems like a good time." Rainfeather agreed, looking at
the fellow warrior. Back a bit achy, he stretched out a bit, tail
squiggling high in the air as he said, "Tell me when you are ready,
I'm going to go talk to the apprentices." He said, and turned
towards the two talking apprentices, padding over to them.
Rainfeather(tom)-blue eyes, with a messy grey pelt, and a 'tuxedo'
type belly, being white.
Honeyfang(Shecat)- Honey-golden middle-length fur with white
speckles along back and right ear.
Medicine cat
Ivyfur-light grey with a slightly darker grey paws. She has ivy
green eyes, and a fluffy tail.
Silverpaw(Shecat)-Silver with a white chest, underbelly, paws,
muzzle and tailtip med-cat apprentice
Apprentices
Hazepaw(tom)-Misty, short gray fur with clear blue eyes.
"Great," she meowed cheerfully and lasped her tongue at her ruffled
chest fur, flattening it down. "Lets go right now, than." She
nodded curtly, giving a glance at the entrance. She padded out of
the entrance besides Honeyfang and Rainfeather.
Slightly confused, Hazepaw replied, "Just because you were named
after your fur doesn't make it not pretty." He listened to
the name suggestions she continued to give, unsure if any of them
even fit him. Hazeclaw sounded cool, but he wasn't much of a
fighter, so what good would a name like that be?
Seeing the leader and Honeyfang head out, Rainfeather ran over.
Walking out of the entrance into the forest, the tom glanced over
at his clanmates that came. He sniffed around a little bit,
wondering if any other clan cats were around. He shrugged, smelling
nothing yet.
After a while of search, the three cats approached a cave. A
strange scent scorched out of it. Badger, Miststar
immediantly thought, her claws flexing. "I guess we'll fight it?"
She turned to the warriors, expecting they new the scent well. Her
calico pelt swooshed in the stern breezes of the wind, as her claws
dug into the ground.
The she-cat padded after Miststar as the headed out, looking back
to see Rainfeather bounding after them. She smiled a little, almost
wanting to laugh, then looked back forwards to see where she was
going as the trio walked.
As they approached a cave, the stench of badger filled her scent
glands, causing her to wrinkle her nose. "Yuck, it stinks in here,"
she murmured softly, not wanting to give much notice of their
presence to the badger. Honeyfang unsheathed her claws, lowering
her body to a slight crouch.
Rainfeather smelled it too. "That's almost enough the make me want
to gag." He whispered, flexing his paws before unsheathing his
claws. He shrunk down, tripping over dirt to blend in some of the
smell. "We ready?" He asked, hushed a little bit.
Miststar's claws clattered against the floors of the damp cave
silently. Padding in further, the grumbles of a creature grew
louder and louder, the scorching odor stinging the cave. Miststar
scrunched her nose, her ears flattened as she saw a shadow.
Silently, she nudged Honeyfang and pointed her tail at the moving
shadows. The she-cat's golden eyes narrowed icily, piercing
blood-thirstily at the shadow. Her fluffy tail remained still, as
she padded on, baring her reinforced teeth. "I'm ready," she
whispered.
Honeyfang's claws stayed unsheathed, for Miststar's were already
making gentle clicks on the stone cave ground. The air instantly
turned cool as they entered, water dripping from the roof,
gathering into gentle pools. The stench of the badger grew nearer,
making Honeyfang growl lowly in disgust at how awful it was.
Her eyes flicked instantly to where Miststar was pointing to,
watching the shadow move, causing her to crouch, ready to leap.
"Let's shred this badger," she hissed under her breath.
Miststar murmured to Honeyfang. "Oh thats already positive." She
saw the badger scramble out of its nest, growling. The she-cat
lunged at the badger, slamming her claws at its cheek, dodging a
blow to the head. She clamped her sharp teeth at its neck, yanking
it back and distracting it.
While it was distracted with Miststar, Honeyfang yowled, launching
herself onto its back, slicing its flank as she raked her claws
down it, the thick scent of blood filling her senses. She watched
it drip and begin to pool like the water she saw earlier, only to
leap onto it once more. A potential threat like this so close to
the clan was going down. Hard.
As the badger whipped over to Honeyfang, Miststar slammed her claws
at the soft part of its neck, as it whimpered. The blood drizzled
off the thin cut on flank, as her ear flattened, she ripped down
the badger's spine, paralizing it. Her nose scrunched at the thick
scent of blood.
Sticking around in the shadows of the cave, Rainfeather decided to
pounce on the badger... Now. He leaped out of the tunnel, and
skidded, facing the badger's back. Before much could move, and
managing to stub his paws a little, before slicing the badger's
back a little with his sharp claws. He then scuttled backwards,
accidentally tripping and being knocked against a wall.
