Grima followed until he was out of breath. Suddenly, branches grew out of the wall and surrounded him, locking him in place. He couldn't get his hands close enough together to use Night Daze. "Ugh... Bane, I don't know how to get out of this."

Bane launched herself off of the wall upon realizing that the branches had started to surround her. "Dont flinch" She said, floating in front of Grima and using shadow claw to break some of the branches enclosing Grima.

"You have no idea how much I love your ability to fly," Grima said before continuing to climb. The wall of trees continued to extend upwards, but it seemed to be growing weaker due to a combination of the cold and the lack of oxygen higher up.
(Yes, they are that high.)
Grima seized the opportunity to use Night Daze on the wall and jump down on the other side. "Bane, come through this hole before it closes!" The hole was already starting to close, though it was slower thanks to how weak the tree was. When Grima realized how high up he was, he became less enthusiastic about having jumped. He was gaining speed rapidly now. He began to charge a Night Daze to try to propel himself away from the ground, but the wind kept whipping it away from him before he could launch it down.
He was about to hit the ground when something swooped below him and caught him. "What just happened?" He instantly felt as though he was in a freezer.
(It is the Articuno that rescued him.)

"Its mainly floating." Bane corrected. She went through the hole after Grima, and half floated half flew down the other side of the wall. She noticed grima's sudden dissaperence from below her before noticing the giant bird. "Oh dear. Hardest challenge in a while" She muttered, going after them. She eventually dropped down to tree level, as she wasnt able to fly that well when her hair was frozen and weighing her down.

"I am s-so conf-fused and c-cold," Grima said. "I-it is l-like being in a f-freezer."
"We are sometimes called 'Freezers,'" the Gijinka behind Grima said. "Other times, I am known as Nix, and this is Articuno. We were hired to make this challenge more difficult by battling the participants, but you were about to break your legs, and nobody enjoys absolutely creaming an already-weakened opponent!" He winked. "Now, please get off of Articuno so I may obliterate you."

Bane got a big piece of ice off of her hair, loosing a foot or so in the process before continuing in the direction of the big bird.

Grima heaved himself off of the ice bird and instantly felt warmer. "So... Do I have to fight you now? If so, I wish to fight you alongside my partner, like you are fighting alongside yours."
"You don't have to fight me. You can always try to run away while I fire a volley of Sheer Cold attacks at you," Nix explained.
"Yeah, no," Grima decided.

"huh, articuno." Bane muttered, approching Grima, Nix and the birdie. "Dont jump off of walls. Time to fight a giant bird."

"Ready or not, here I come!" Nix called, already having rode Articuno a few meters away so the latter could get momentum for a Giga Impact.
"Oh, great..." Grima muttered. He tried to jump out of the way and managed to dodge the majority of the attack, though he was still hit hard by Articuno's wing. "Owwwwww..." He created an illusion of himself being hit by the full force of the attack and then getting up and scrambling in the other direction and showed it to Articuno, but not to Nix, trying to cause tension between the two when they each thought the other was missing horribly. He used Night Daze both in the illusion and in reality, aiming at the same spot Articuno wouldn't notice that it was hurt in a different spot than the attack should have hit. "Bane, please help me out a bit here."
Nix spread his angelic, blue wings, which suddenly became coated in a blue glow. He thrust them forward, creating an Ice Beam aimed at Bane.

"I am" Bane said, Launching a will o wisp at the two ice type gijinkas, than a shadow ball to counter the ice beam, still taking a bit of the attack. After shaking off the few ice shards, she used Hex. She focused on attacking Nix instead of Articuno. She launched several Shadow balls at the ice types before charging at Nix with a sucker punch shadow claw combo.

"Alright. Thanks..." Grima replied. He quickly used Dark Pulse, making it hard for Articuno and Nix to see and knocking the latter off of the former.

Bane managed her combo, on the articuno instead of Nix as the latter had fallen off of the large bird. She stood on the articuno and used several close range shadow balls.

Articuno became cloaked in blue light, then swirled into a sphere of concentrated energy and launched itself straight at Bane.
(This is Return, since it is good friends with Nix. Also, Taunt + Sucker Punch would make a good combo. ^^)

Bane got launched off of the ice legendary and landed in the trees several yards away. She hurried forwards and used Taunt before Sucker punch on Nix. She than used dark pulse on articuno while getting out of immediate counter range of both.

(Nix still has to attack first. Taunt just prevents him from doing anything other than attacking.)

Nix, unaware of the Sucker Punch that Bane was preparing, began to charge an Ice Beam attack once more as a result of sheer anger.
Grima launched a Night Daze at the two of them.

Bane moved to the right of Nix, to avoid the ice beam whilst preparing the sucker punch and backing up a bit so she could put more momentum behind the punch.

Nix turned around in an attempt to hit Bane with Ice Beam and was hit in the face by Grima's Night Daze, which exploded and hit Articuno. Grima was having trouble simultaneously fighting, keeping up a realistic illusion for Articuno, being sure NOT to use an illusion on Nix, and aiming all of his attacks in a way that would synchronize illusion and reality, as that required him to predict exactly where they would land, when they would explode, how they would explode, and exactly how Nix and Articuno were going to move. Nix's turn messed up the whole thing, so he now had to keep up an entirely separate reality for Articuno while continuing to fight in the real world and synchronizing the two realities. "This is hard," he said to only Bane.

"What?" Nix asked, utterly bewildered. He was then hit by Sucker Punch, which he hadn't even noticed.
"I only told you that," Grima said, again only to Bane. He then decided to turn the two invisible and impossible to hear to all except themselves. "This is much easier," he told her.
