Your great grandparents and others like them were discovered for their powers. The government wanted to selfishly use them for their military. They fled, and found an island; a tropical, uninhabited paradise. Venetus Island.(it’s latin) Now, you and your friends at Venetus High School are the future of the Venieceans. The Whispering Willows of Spirits are where you can talk to other magic users; alive on the other side of the world(during day) and also dead(at night.) You are the strongest, being the youngest and most able. Now, 90 years after the first of your kind settled, the USA found you. Every so often, there are attacks. Classes have been suspended for the year. It’s fight time.
There are two kinds of magic; Lux and Tenebris magic (latin for light and dark). Lux magic flourishes in the day, especially in pure sunlight. Tenebris is strongest at night, especially in a full moon.

Appearance: black hair fades to navy, tall, shining blue eyes, loose blue dresses

Backstory: Her great grandparents were one of the first settlers. She feels its her duty to protect the island. The military killed her sisters, but her twin brother killed them in responce. Eventually they retaliated and poisin darted her brother, and now he is sick and frail. In a full moon however, a (deceased,since its night) Whispering Willow Spirit gives him full strength to fight.
Personality: Kind of kind but secretly sadistic
Power: Tenebris she controlls a ball of darkness with tentacles called umbra, at night it can be 5 stories tall at day its 6 inches
native to island. She can make illusions in day but at night she can conjure stuff.(so the illusions are real at night)
Her brother is the same minus the illusions. But he's sick, so he can only use Fate (his version of Umbra) at night.

Backstory: His father set up a marriage between him and a lifelong friend. After being told, he loathed the friend. An arguement they had caused the other to jump in a well.
Personality: Atticus is slightly weak in emotions (he cries easily, but selfishly) He was pampered through his lifetime, so he is egotistical and gets angry quickly
Power: Lux. He can control/manipulate colors. He feeds and lived off of the amount of color in his system

Backstory: (is it allowed? If not, I can change it) Her parents were Demon Slayers, who were always away on missions. So Kaori’s older sister, Aiko, took her in. But only when Kaori was 12, a demon killed her sister, and Kaori vowed to become a Demon Slayer and avenge her sister’s death. Surviving the Final Selection, she learned the Moon Breathing Form, and now uses it as one of the most powerful Pillars. But as she got ‘relocated’ to the island, she lost her Nichirin sword and is unable to use Moon Breathing until she gets another.
Personality: She is very fierce and loyal, but seems a little sad at times. Often having a daydreaming sort of look on her face, she is believed to be scatterbrained.
Power: (Lux/Tenebris + brief description) Tenebris- when she lost her Nichirin sword, this was the closest to Moon Breathing as she can. She uses it to often create disorienting illusions and shadows, and can control the moonlight’s strength (only during emergencies)

Appearance: Black hair, black eyes, dark jacket over his white shirt and black pants. No he is not emo.
Age (16-19 please): 18
Backstory: When his family was found, they moved him to the island to train while they fought. He doesn't know if they are alive or captured and wishes to meet up with them soon.
Personality: Likes hanging out with close friends but doesn't normally make new friends. Quiet around strangers but likes making jokes with friends.
Power: Tenebris. He only uses it in battle or when he needs to. He can form small body parts from the shadows and has like a maximum of four cuz I don't want him to be over powered ya know.

Backstory: Has always loved to sing, and one day decided to become a rap battler (or "Beep Battler") and challenge the best of Beepers.
Personality: Loves singing, like I mentioned, and is often very determined and up for a challenge (mainly Beep Battling). Also loves his dear girlfriend, whose name is Girlfriend.
Power: Lux, has the ability to shine spotlights of dangerous temperatures on his enemies (after out-Beeping them, of course).
