Melody was lost in thought, wandering the street. Had she really
seen a door there? What did it mean? Was it another Elemental?
Melody almost ran into a light post, breaking her train of thought
as she almost broke her nose.
Darreon had been in shocked silence as he watched the snake commit
his carnage. Now, though, something stirred him. He couldn't tell
what, but it had the same aura that something supernatural had. And
it definitely wasn't the snake, it was far more reserved, almost
completely hidden by the wrath Nightmare displayed. Tucking his axe
away, he felt it shrink and nearly disappear. Then, he leapt down
to ground level and shifted his form, taking in the appearance of a
burly young man, with the logo of a plumbing service on his shirt.
Double checking the van's logo, Darreon walked inside. "Sorry I'm
late!"
One of the other plumbers noticed him. For a second, his face was
full of surprise and suspicion, but it glazed over into a slightly
annoyed look of indiffrence. "C'mon, this is a big job! We can't
afford for anyone to be late, Antonio would kill me, and you too if
he found out."
Hurrying over, Darreon assisted the man with what he was doing.
However, his attention was focused in multiple areas. Mostly on the
task at hand, but his eyes were glancing around the room quickly,
cataloging everything. He didn't find anything... Yet.
The work was tedious indeed. Nightmare's work had torn pipes out of
the wreckage, and it was taking a lot of work. The steam kept
rising, making everyone sweat, and hard. But the door kept
flickering....
Finally, Darreon's eyes landed on the door, flickering and
semi-solid. Glancing around, he willed his axe into existence
again, but in a different form. Now, there was another plumber, a
clone of Darreon. Shifting to his daemon form so he wouldn't be
seen, he left his axe to help with the tedious work. Trotting over
to the door, he hesitantly reached a hand out to it.
Darreon twitched his nose, then cursed silently. Melody and Kieran,
right? He'd need them. Sighing, he jogged back to work and quickly
took up the place which his axe occupied.
Nightmare had an idea. He slithered down, and went to the pipes. He
slithered in, and grinned, before blasting all his flame power,
sending the pipe and everything it connected to shaking violently,
and by extension, blasting fire out of toilets and sinks
There definitely was another explosion, thankfully not hurting
anyone since all the workers had gone home. A lone figure watched
the carnage with disaste. "Wasteful and useless," he muttered.
Yagyu watched as she flew over, she could smell something familiar.
There was something about the man who was talking to Nightmare. She
was high enough in the sky for her to just appear as a large bird.
“Who is he? What is he?” She asked herself.
The man looked up, tsking. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." His
eyes glowed a dark red, and immeadiently, a large red dragon moved
from his body, attacking Nightmare.
The dragon moved again, twisting around the man. He smiled. "That's
good, because I am here for some very important reasons, and I
desire your help to do so."
