She decided to roam around the stars, and see where her family’s home used to be, and say hi to them.

“Hey Mom and Dad. I had the ceremony, didn’t go well. Sorry to disappoint you, but I guess I already did that a long time ago... Well, that’s all I have to share, bye.” But before she walked away, she heard a voice, but it wasn’t the evil, demonic one. “You didn’t disappoint us Mai. I’m proud of you. But, you do know it wasn’t you, right? You did nothing that harmed us. Just don’t let the voice take over.” That voice was her mother’s.

“Why did you only speak to me now? After all these years and you pick now?” Mai was sobbing with grief. “I-I’m sorry, I shouldn’t act that way. I’ve missed you Mom...” She was desperately trying to look for where the voice was, but no one was there. “I have missed you too Mai. Now, don’t forget, do what is right. When the time comes, you will make a difficult choice and you will lose a lot either way. Choose the right one! Now, it’s time for me to go. Goodbye Mai.”

Mai had started to stop sobbing but she stayed there for another hour. She finally flew back and roamed around the meadow, trying to look for Lyla, her friend/pet Raven.

(I hope a small time skip for lupis is ok)
Lupis had went to his den when he was done with his stroll a few hours ago
His den was inside of a mountain filled with beautifully colored crystal
He ended up going back to sleep
(Present Time)
He woke up again a little bit tired but ok
He yawned and walked out of his cage
Looking around to see if he could scrounge around some food to eat
Sadly he hadn't found any but he was fine
He flew off into the air and went to his favorite spot

A small place on top of a high mountain
It had small tiny crystal growing out of it
Along with some plants and flowers
He found it peaceful to stay at
"Hmm... It's quite nice out today.."
He spoke looking at the lands beneath the mountain

Drake was still asleep
Seeing as he never woke up until late in the afternoon

Rising early, Lauriam made rounds around the glade that served as a home for countless lives both large and small. The ability to speak with the plants growing showed to be extremely helpful as Lauriam was able to care for them better than ever. Stopping to converse with the Ponderosa trees that grew by the lakeside, Lauriam was a little surprised to learn that Albafica who normally was already up, hadn't even poked his head out. It was a little concerning for the Earth dragon, having simply known what Albafica's day to day life was like. The tempest dragon liked to rise early when no one else was up and slip away from any interactions, preferring to stay by himself. The fact that Albafica had willingly chose to stay at the bottom of the lake where other water affiliated dragon's could find him was new. Thanking the trees, Lauriam went back to work, worry brewing within

For some reason, she could only understand that specific raven. No other animal and no other raven. Once he found Lyla she talked with her for a bit, then Mia decided to get more sleep. Her eyes were still watery from earlier, but she felt more at ease. The voice wasn’t as loud now, and was more easier to drown out.

Lupis closed his eyes
The breeze felt amazing today
He smilied

Opening his eyes again
He sighs as he gets ready to fly off
Taking a big leap off the mountain then slowly flying up into the sky
Lupis looks dawn at the land
Watching

He loved learning new things about each different type of Dragon
The dragons he saw at the ceremony he was curious about all of them

After he did a few small laps around the areas he flew down to a lake near some trees
The sun hitting the water
Making it shimmer
The lake had some flowers in it
Pink and white flowers

"Well.. Isn't this a nice little spot"
He said
As he sat next to the water
Looking up in the sky


Drake is still asleep

Spending time in the bottom of the lake during the day was wasn't bad, Albafica found. The light would play over the surface as he floated listlessly in the water sometimes letting the Ray's dance over his own face. He would always dart away silently when someone came close and settle down on the lake floor where he would play around with the silt. It was nice and calming, the water seeping past the cracks in his scales and wash over his skin. No one was down here to bother him nor was there anything that could potentially get poisoned by his blood so he could afford to be a bit more careless. A petal from the surface gently floated down to the bottom, having absorbed enough water to become heavy and sink. Letting the white petal rest on his snout, Albafica smiled. Today would have nice weather, he thought aimlessly

Yurei jumped awake, his eyes wide and startled. "I fell asleep..?" He asked Yomi, who sighed in response.
"Well yes, I suppose you did. I didn't get any time to spread my wings but I suppose you did." He sounded irritated, but too tired to emphasise it.

Z's eyes flicked to Albafica, seeing them draw close. He still layed in complete silence though.

Flipping onto his back and letting the water pressure gently float him up and relishing what little sunlight he could get, Albafica blinked and locked eyes with Z. Was... That dragon there the whole time? Feeling blood rush to his face in embarrassment, Albafica stayed still in hopes that Z hadn't noticed him either. However as time passed, Z simply looked more and more unimpressed to him and Albafica suddenly felt very silly simply lying with his belly up under the water. Flipping back over, Albafica darted back down towards the bottom and behind a rock where he could no longer see Z and hopefully, where Z could no longer see him.

Mai woke up to Lyla pecking at her face. She never did that unless it was an emergency. “What is it Lyla?” “Mai, Mai! Fire!” Still half asleep, Mai rolled back over, not understanding what the raven was telling her. “5 more minutes...” she told her. “Mai, Mai, Mai ,Mai! Fire Fire Fire!” The Raven said, a bit louder and urgent. Mai jolted up, finally understanding what the Raven was saying. “Oh crud! Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” She said. Lyla looked at her like she was dumb. “Follow me, Mai!”

Lyla led Mai to the fire. It was in a heavily forested place, so she would have to be careful. She usually did it the hard way, but she thought, “Well, maybe I could control the fire, or control the water to put out the flames.” She first tried out the water, but it took too much concentration and she wasn’t getting far. She then tried to move the flames, and was successful. The flames danced in a little ball, floating in the air. She threw it into the lake to put it out. “Well that’s cool. Does that mean I can control both fire and water? Or is that a part of a psychic ability?” She wasn’t directing the question to anyone, but Lyla answered anyway. “It comes with the psychic ability!” She was pretty smart for a Raven that lived in the meadow all her life.

Since she saw that the water almost formed a ball when she tried to control it, she decided practicing. It took a while, but she finally made a small ball of water, floating above the lake. She brought it to be in front of her face and touched it with her paw. It stayed intact, but moved around a little bit, like a balloon. “Huh, this could be fun.” She tried making the water bubble bigger and soon got almost half the lake. The water bubble was twice her size, but she started to feel very tired and it got harder and harder to keep her concentration. She let the bubble sink down into the lake. She was so tired, she fell into the lake. She couldn’t stay under the water for more than an hour for some reason, but the water made a small bubble around her, even though she was unconscious.

Suddenly, she saw herself in the water. Wasn’t she supposed to be sleeping, and how could she see herself? Apparently, Lyla could see her astral form. “It’s Astral Projection, Mai! It is cool!” “Yeah I guess it is, but has it been over an hour?” “Yes, Yes! Mai is still ok!” “How-“ then she noticed the small bubble of air around her. “I’m supposed to be awake to control water, right?” “Yes! But Lyla has friends!” “Friends? What other friends?” “Hasn’t Mai noticed the water dragons?” (Not important to story, they are just in the meadow) “Umm... no? I don’t think I have.” Then she saw them. They were at the bottom of the lake, their scales gleaming in the sun. “Oh. So they were always there?” “Yup!” Mai was impressed about what the Raven knew. She surprised her every day. “I’m going back to sleep now. This astral thing is making me nervous for some reason.”

Drake had finally woke
The last Dragon walked out of his cave
Looking at the other dragons working
He scoffed "working this early?"
Rolling his eyes he flew into the air watching for prey to appear
He only found one rabbit he ended up catching it and eating it (poor rabbit),
"Ugh... That's not even enough to feed a baby dragon!"
He shouted angrily
"Welp might aswell go start some trouble"
He smirked spitting some lava on a tree which started a small fire
"Let's see them handle this heh"
smirking again he flew off
Leaving the fire to spread

Lupis was still next to the lake
He got up getting some water and drinking it
He saw some fish in the water he watched as they swam around there scales making the water change colors
He smilied
The water soon looked like the northern lights
He had seen them only once when he was young remembering his past and that beautiful moment with the lights

He stretched his wings
And flew off
Just strolling around trying to relax
Lupis didn't get to relax with drake around much so he enjoyed the time he got alone

Mai woke up in the water, which scared her at first, but she calmed down, remembering she is alive. She said thanks to the water dragons and flew off. She scanned the lakes and open fields and saw I fire in the trees. “Again? How many fires can there be?” She put the fire into a tight ball, bigger than the one at the meadow. She threw the fireball into the nearest body of water and saw a dark rock where the middle of the fire was. It was about as big as her paw, but she knew what it was immediately. It was one of Drake’s lava balls (I don’t know what to call it)

She decided not to confront Drake, as it would start a big argument.

(It's a magma rock)
Lupis was flying around in the air
When he saw the fire immediately he knew it was drake who started it
Drake was a troublemaker he loved destruction
Lupis hated hin for that reason
He scoffed and flew down to where the fire was
But he stopped as he watched mia put the fire into a ball and throw it into the nearest lake
He was intrigued
Was that some kind of psychic agility
"I'm guessing this was drakes doing?"
He asked as he looked at the magma rock still burning

Alex went to his thinking spot, a lake. He was still bewildered at the reasoning behind the crystal. How could a gemstone, glorified rock, enable strange powers to a creature on contact? He wished he knew. Did it hurt? Where? What areas were effected? Were certain magics effected more than others? Did it have to do with scales? Would it affect you. physically? Yes. Certain parts of dragons reacted involuntarily to the stone...

The speculation abruptly ended when he spotted a large ball of fire drop into his lake.

“Yeah I think so. Second fire today.” Mai said, though she was startled.
“Wait, the second?” Lupis asked.
“Yeah, one near where I was sleeping. But I don’t know if it was Drake...” Mia said.

Alex flew as fast as possible away from there. A meteorite would not be something he wanted to deal with. There would be commotion if someone found him there. Something hit his wing, causing him to tumble through the sky, which he was low in, and into a group of trees. It was loud.

Lauriam was tired. The day wasn't half over but yet here the earth dragon was, the roots on the body lashing furiously. Someone had set fire to a god damn forest, not once but twice. What the heck?! At least the blaze was taken care of when Lauriam had arrived so all Lauriam really had to do was pick through the charred remains, comfort the surviving plats and coax them to grow again, and generally stew in the self righteous anger brewing.

Having been hiding under the water and not noticing anything, Albafica shrieked when something large dropped beside him and he scrambled away, find flared and body pressed against the lake floor defensively. There was a almost oppressive heat that washed over him from the rock and Albafica soon realized that it wasn't a normal magma rock, it was probably something created by a dragon.

Mai took off when she heard a loud crash. She “saw” (more like detected) Alex hit the trees and rushed over, just in time to catch him before he hit the ground. “You ok?” Mai asked. “Yeah, something hit my wing.” Alex said. “Well, since you’re ok, I’m going to check out the lakes. I heard that Drake’s magma rocks were landing there.”

Z spotted the strange ball and before it even landed, he sliced through it and quenched the fire. He looked defensively at the direction it came from, his eyes narrowed to slits as he lowered himself to the ground.

"Magma rocks. So that was what hit the lake. Why was it there in the first place?" Alex thought as he returned to the lake. "I'll have to find Drake, ask 'em why he had done it. He hadn't heard of any other fires... " He didn't know. What he did know is that he'd have to update his scrolls on other dragons. (He records everything he knows into a large library of scrolls. He created his own brand of writing utensils by burning some wood, and dips a stick into the ashes.) Alex decided to check out the lake as well, see if there was anything unusual in his thinking spot.

Mai hopes someone else would confront Drake other than her. She didn’t want to make another enemy, nor make it seem like she was being bossy, pushy, or too worried about everything. She went into the clouds to relax for a bit. While she was flying, something hit her from below. It was huge and hit her chest. She blacked out and tumbled to the ground with no one to save her now.
